Honestly, I cannot emphasise enough how important this complete package for a knee or hip replacement is with TailorDoc & would highly recommend again & again.
The only small criticism is that the hospital food is poor which Carlos explained & I can confirm its true but the food in the rehabilitation hotel is excellent. 😊

Due to long NHS wait for total hip replacement, I decided to review private options abroad. After extensively researching Dr Corbi, TailorDoc, the hospital and hotel, I then made contact with Carlos. We had a detailed conversation regarding my hip, which Carlos followed up with an email, confirming what I said and the next steps. Three weeks later, my partner and I were met by Carlos at Velencia airport, whisked off to hospital, with surgery the next day. It was all so smooth and efficient. I was given a handheld translator, however I always felt my needs were tended to and Carlos visited several times during the hospital stay and was always at the end of the phone.

Transfered to the hotel in Denia - absolutely lovely. Room set up for my needs. Food was top class! Extremely clean and efficient hotel. Physio was brilliant - the staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and motivational. When I left to go home, I was walking comfortably with one crutch.
I attended physio back in Scotland who said I was '95% ahead of most people at 3 weeks post surgery'. 4.5 weeks in, no stick in house, scar has healed incredibly well. Anterior approach has left a very small scar with minimal discomfort.

This whole experience has been positive from the first contact with Carlos. I have felt supported, listened to and most importantly, I have healed so well.

I will need my 2nd hip done within the next few years. This has been such a positive experience, I cant risk getting it done anywhere else.

I recently travelled from the north of Scotland with my husband to have a total hip replacement and I cannot express how impressed we were with the services that Tailordoc provided. From our very first correspondence with Carlos any questions we had were dealt with quickly, paperwork was efficient and clear and it put us completely at ease in making our decision to proceed with them - which is more than I can say when dealing with private clinics in the Uk. Dr Corbi has done a brilliant job on my hip. The physio team at medifit in Denia were great and the benefit of having an hour in the gym and an hour hands on physio daily with them has made the recovery even quicker and less painful. Since returning home I have had physios and medical staff both commenting on how good it is looking and how ahead I am with my recovery. I cannot thank everybody enough at Tailordoc for their services, they really did make a rather daunting experience incredibly reassuring and I am am so pleased to have found them - if I need my other hip done I will be straight back in contact with Carlos.

It's now four weeks since my surgery and I'm back home in the UK, doing very well. I turned to Tailordoc for my total knee replacement (TKR) because a) they could provide robotic-assisted surgery for my slightly more complex needs with pre-existing metalwork; and b) because it's a full package with the inclusion of two weeks of physiotheraphy. Everyone I met during this entire experience was kind, caring, professional, and helpful. Carlos, Dr Corbi, the hospital staff, drivers, and the entire physio team. It's a little daunting travelling overseas, alone (my situation), to a country where you don't speak the language. Don't worry - you'll get by!

If you're planning a TKR, remember that the surgery is just the beginning. The physio included in the TailorDoc package is the foundation for healing. You have to work at it. It's not a magic overnight solution: it's a major operation that needs both recovery time, pain management, (ice packs or frozen peas have been my best friends), and your own effort, every day. Some days are better than others, but there's always some progress to cherish each and every day.

We researched all the private hospitals in the south of Spain and found TailorDoc offered a far better package,both financially and recovery. It included a 12 day stay in a four star hotel where you had two hours of physio a day. None of the other hospitals included physio. They were far more expensive and I found them not so helpful.
As soon as we spoke to Carlos he put us
at ease straight away and sent all the
relevant information we required before
we made a decision. He kept in constant contact and answered all our questions.
We soon realised what a nice man he
was. There was no pressure at all from
him, which made it easy to decide
to use TailorDoc. We agreed the date for the operation but due to a lung infection
we had to cancel and Carlos was so understanding and arranged an alternative date without any problem.
The Hospital in Valencia was very nice and no real problems with communication. My wife stayed the three nights with me in hospital which was a great help. Dr Kobi and the Anaesthetist came to see me before the
operation and both spoke excellent english. They really put me at ease, and were really nice.
The operation went really well and I was able to get out of bed the next day. The nurses were coming in regually with any pain medication when needed. Dr Kobi came round after the operation to explain all what had been done.
Physio started the day after the operation. He was a really nice guy and understood what you could do.
The third day Ray comes to collect you to take you to the hotel and takes you to the chemist for any medication you have been prescribed. I must say what a nice guy he is and was so helpfull in what ever you needed.
The hotel was excellent, both my wife and myself stayed, and I had two hours of physio a day at the hotel, which is a real game changer and gets your mobility back really quick. All the physios were really nice and a big thanks to them all.
We really did our research and found everyone we dealt with to do with TailorDoc very nice, polite, and helpful.

I would not hesitate in recommending TailorDoc, infact we did and one of our friends who also needed a hip operation had his two weeks later.

I was put in touch with TaylorDoc via a recommendation. I needed a hip replacement fairly urgently so I made contact with Carlos. After a couple of conversations my surgery was booked in at Valencia within 2 weeks.
We were met by Carlos at the hospital and he looked after everything from that point.
All the staff at the hospital were friendly and very professional. My surgeon Dr Corbi was superb and put me at ease.
After 2 days we had transport arranged to the hotel in Denia for 12 days rehab including physio and gym work all supervised by friendly fully trained staff. They were all superb.
We had full board at the hotel which included my wife being able to stay with me.
Hotel was very good and provided exceptional food especially at lunchtime in the restaurant and their staff were delightful. The price for the whole package was realistic.
I can't fault the service from TaylorDoc especially Carlos and would recommend them to anyone who needs hip or knee surgery.

I chose Tailordoc after extensive research online. The complete package sounded perfect for me as I was looking for a total hip replacement. I contacted Carlos initially and he was very helpful. Gave me all the information I required and wasn't pushy trying to sell the package to me.
I had a number of questions and each time I contacted Carlos he responded very promptly, either via whatsapp or with a call. I checked out the credentials of the company and Dr. Corbi seperately and all was positive.
Once I had paid Carlos kept in touch right until I landed in Valencia. He picked me up at the airport and took me to the hospital and guided me through the admissions process.
Dr. Corbi saw me pre & post op which was reassuring and everything went smoothly. The day after the operation physio started and two days later we were moved to Denia for further rehab and physio. The driver who took us (Ray) was very helpful throughout as I met him a few times in the next few weeks.
The Physio and gym sessions were just as important as the operation itself. Anyone looking to have a hip or knee replacemenmt should certainly be sure they will get this as it speeds up your recovery. Within twelve days I was walking without crutches. The physio team were excellent and provided me with an exercise programme to continue with on my return to the UK.
Carlos has kept in touch throughout the whole process and was always available if there were any problems (there weren't, by the way). I would highly recommend the Tailordoc team from the perspective of the surgery, rehab and communication.All was first rate.

From start to finish the service we received was first class. Everything from tests to physiotherapy was well planned and perfectly delivered. My mum was the patient so I was extra careful about the package I chose for her and I wasn’t disappointed. I stayed with her throughout the process and saw first hand the exceptional treatment she received. Carlos was great at putting our minds at rest and was available at short notice to answer any questions. We leaned on him for advice at times but nothing was too much trouble. My Name is Philip Millar and I live in Northern Ireland. Having been turn down by other providers because of underlying health issue who advise I needed a private hospital with a ICU, (which thankfully it turned out was not needed) .

I started my search to find another provider abroad as I was not prepared to wait for the NHS, Its over a year now and I am still waiting to see a consultant here never mind placed on a surgery list. I was also aware private hospital here do not have ICU's

To my suprisevI was the one turning them down, some providers where just to keen, not asking the right questions of me etc. Not so with Carlos, we developed a understand right away. He listen carefully to me and straight after are call followed up with a email detailing or conversation, asking me if he had missed anything before he went and consulted with the medical team. With a few days at most, he confirmed they would be happy to proceed on condition of local reports from my doctors and a few tests that they ask me to have done and share with them. We where now good to go, the surgery was booked to suit my diary for late October a few month away..no turning back now.
Going abroad is easy to say but as the time came closer I started to get nervous.. Was this a Scam, would Carlos be there to meet me, a feeling I later discovered when talking to other patients is not unusual. Days before I traveled I was sitting at 4am drinking tea and reading these very reviews for reassurance.

I need not have worried, I can fully endorce all the great things that are already in other reviews... The hospital was first class... Checking me in at midnight and then doing the blood test etc that they needed done until about 1am so that I could sleep on in the morning given the late hour of my traveling on what had been a long day traveling from my home in NI to Dublin and then valencia (NHS please take note). Only after all this and making sure everything was in order for both me and my wife did Carlos leave us at 1.30am

So if your thinking of going please rest assured you in the best of hands both in valencia and in the rehad unit... Dare I say it but it was fun, we had many laughs both with the staff and fellow patients... As I say to those who ask me, " No one wants to have TKR.. But if you have to do it there no better way" The one thing I recommend is making sure you have a good Physio lined up for your return home.. You so well looked after at the rehad unit it can be a bit daunting when home alone.
Me.... I putting my money where my mouth is and planning my next trip hopefully in a few months time to unfortunately have my other knee replaced, my wife still refers to out "Holiday in Denia" and is looking forward to going back?

From the very start, TailorDoc delivered what they promised. All aspects of the surgery and aftercare were superb.

Wow, had a right hip replacement 6 weeks ago and have waited until now to review Tailordoc (though I would have been happy to do so within the first week). Carlos communicated consistently and often prior to arrival in Spain, erasing any apprehension or concerns. The hospital, staff and my doctor were amazing despite the fact that I was an Englishman abroad. The rehabilitation hotel in Dénia was very clean and very well run with a family business, the staff were great and hardworking and there was a great choice of food despite my restrictive dietary needs. Rehab staff, were friendly, helpful and caring and I left feeling I had made new friends in Carlos, the rehab team and our driver who transferred us from Valencia to Dénia and from Dénia to Alicante airport for our return home. The hip replacement itself has been amazing, as I can compare it to my left hip that was replaced 8 years ago with the NHS. From decision to replacement the right hip was replaced within 2 months while the left hip was closer to 2 years, I was able to sit, rise and walk comfortably without walking aids within 2-3 days!! (though not recommended or realistic for everyone, this review is about my experience) with my left hip this took weeks. From start until now (6 weeks) everything about my experience with Tailordoc and the hip replacement has been fast and efficient but at the same time caring and considerate and I can’t recommend them enough, thank you Tailordoc

What a great experience with Tailordoc!
A bit of background - in February this year I had a partial knee replacement on the NHS. Recovery was not going well despite my best efforts, so 4 months in, I saw my consultant who told me everything was fine and to do more physio. Long story short, I ended up getting a 2nd opinion 4 months later and it turned out the base plate of my implant was too big and I would need revision surgery with a total replacement.
Not great news, and the prospect of waiting months or years to get it fixed on the NHS was depressing...
BUT a friend of mine found Tailordoc online and I decided to go for it.
From start to finish I have felt listened to and cared for and feel that everyone involved has been professional, competent and compassionate.
After my initial enquiry, Carlos rang me within less than 24 hours, and from our initial chat sent me an email accurately summarising all that had been said. My surgery was scheduled for 3 weeks later!
A terrifying prospect given that I already knew what to expect, but on arrival I immediately felt reassured that I was in good hands... On arrival, Carlos picked me and my daughter up at Valencia station and took us to the hospital. We had a visit from Dr Corbi on the morning of the surgery, and the aftercare at the hospital was great.
I think the best thing about this whole package is the rehabilitation that starts in the hospital with two physio sessions and continues at the hotel in Dania with the Medifit team, who I can't praise highly enough. Such a caring, friendly and knowledgeable team who work together and complement each other amazingly. Physio & massage and gym sessions every weekday.
I had a comfortable suite at the hotel with balcony, and the food was delicious & well-balanced. (If you are vegetarian, be sure to let them know in advance, though)
I've been home now for 4 days and, other than missing the sunshine, I am doing really well. Keeping up the exercises and really feeling that the work done in Spain has laid a solid foundation for a real recovery (this time!)

Had full hip replacement 4 weeks ago cannot grasp how quickly I have recovered. No pain walking normally. Use one crutch to venture outside to be safe.From first contact with carlos everything was so easy.staff in hospital vithas brilliant no language problems. Was transported from hospital to rehabilitation hotel in denia.again staff were helpful food was excellent. Big mention to the medi fit physio team couldn't do enough to help you.would I recommend tailordoc most definitely. Dr cobi is a magician.ray transport so helpful. If I could I would give Tailordoc.com six stars I cannot recommend them highly enough from start to finish the whole procedure for my total knee replacement was first class.
My first contact was with Carlos who has guided me through the whole process without fault.My experience in the hospital could not be faulted the staff were all caring helpful and professional and Dr Corbi who performed the surgery was amazing his empathy and expertise helped to make my surgery as painless as possible he visited me before and after the surgery and the following day during my physio with Dario ,who was amazing and had me up and moving. His approach working with me to get movement in my left knee was second to none.
Dr Corbi visited me before I left the hospital to move to the hotel in Denia where again I was given nothing but a professional and caring service from all the physiotherapy girls who spoke very good English and helped me get through ten days days of intensive physio that has given me a wonderful start to being able to walk without a limp and free of pain the first time in many years.
I have been back in England two weeks now and a friend of mine who had the same operation in England as me cannot believe the mobility I have in my left knee he is absolutely amazed at my physical condition since returning to the UK.

This was my first and only experience of having a medical issue resolved overseas, so I was extremely cautious and wary. I needed a hip replacement. That said from my first phone call with Carlos I was very impressed with his patience understanding and compassion as well as his knowledge of how the process was going to happen. After getting some information about me and my condition he went into considerable detail of the protocols and experience of all involved from the hospital the doctor and the rehab staff and hotel. I never felt pushed or hurried despite this being late on a Friday afternoon! There was no pushy sales pitch.
I was then asked how quickly I was looking to have my hip operation and was asked if I’d like a call back.
The entire experience went just as Carlos had explained, and he continued to keep in touch returning my calls promptly and answering my questions.
The hospital was modern clean and comfortable and the nurses efficient. Although some found the food unimaginative and perhaps a little too local.
This was not the case at the rehabilitation hotel where there was a tasty lunch menu in the restaurant and expansive buffet for breakfast and dinner.
The physiotherapists were caring and experienced and attentive to each individual’s needs. So much so I made good progress over my stay without any severe pain. More a level of discomfort easily handled by simple medication.
By the time I left 15 days from my arrival I could walk short distances without aids though I continued to use support for a couple more weeks to prevent injury.
Carlos the surgeon and the Medifit team all deserve their 5 star rating in my experience.
I would just mention that my initial payment was flagged as possible scam!!! As you can imagine my anxiety level was on high alert!! However this proved to be an overly cautious financial institution as the transfer was a larger amount to a business I’d not used previously. I don’t think I was the only one to get this alert so I mention it in case you too become worried.
Talking to other patients during my stay I would say that we were all very pleased we’d made the decision to use TailorDoc
