If I could give zero stars, I would. I booked 3 sessions through this app. The first one it said was free, but I was charged immediately after booking. After we did the session, the tutor mentioned payment, which I responded by saying I paid on the app through PayPal although the first class is supposed to be free. However, I paid her in cash and decided to try another tutor next time as she was pretty rude. The next time I booked, it also said first class free and I was charged immediately after booking. The tutor cancelled, asked me to reschedule and provided her availability. I rescheduled in the app and was charged again immediately. The tutor canceled again later that day. It’s impossible to get a refund from these people unless you file a chargeback with your bank. I’m out $150 and had to find my daughter a tutor somewhere else. This business is a complete scam and very misleading. Not even the tutors know what’s going on. If you use them, expect to be charged more than the app says and expect to be cancelled on or told by the tutor the payment wasn’t received. Screw the people that run this app and their horribly managed social media pages!

Very deceptive company. Only showed me the lesson cost next to the tutor as $49 . No where it was mentioned that is only the subsrciption cost and top of that you have to pay anywhere from $60-90 for the tutor one hour as separate fee.

If I could give a rating of 0, I would. I’ve been charged £39 per month for a service I haven’t used, and the fact that this was a subscription was not made clear without carefully digging through their website.

When I raised this issue, instead of addressing the charges, they offered me a free 30-day extension — which is completely useless given I haven’t used the service for the past four months.

This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I would strongly advise others to be cautious before signing up.

I love using Superprof. It is very intuitive and easy to use. It is easy to communicate with students and set up sessions.

This is an absolute SCAM "company" based in France.
Their tutor profiles seem like fake profiles.
I attempted to learn singing, from an IN PERSON tutor. I clicked on profiles that said they do in person lessons. I had to pay to talk to them. So I paid, thinking the money would go to the tutor. It doesn't. It goes to a bunch of scammers in France. The response i got back from the "tutor " claimed they DO NOT do in person lessons, despite what the profile said. So I went to another profile. The next one said that he can't tutor me because we are in different areas. I live 10 min away from chattanooga. If he was a real person, with a real profile, he would know that. But instead he said I was too far away. That's when i realized this is starting to sound like a scam.

I emailed the "company" and they said they would not give a refund, and that i paid for the "ability" to talk to any tutor i wanted. Well guess what, the tutors are fake. Or at least a large majority are, similar to what's going on with fake profiles on dating sites. PLEASE DO NOT let these scammers get your money!!!

Had a couple of problems, but swiftly sorted

The platform looks easy to navigate, but we never received ordered service for guitar tutors. Moreover, they charged money when tutors accepted the request, they even wrote they'll show up for tutor on agreed time, but they never showed up. I had to track my bank transactions and had to initiate chargebacks. Superprof don't have security measures for clients like us in case service was not provided.

Do not give these people you phone or email - emails have no unsubscribe buttons so have to block, text messages start coming in immediately, no stop option. Blocked and text from a different number

My experience as an tutor on Superprof has been very good.I've been teaching since 1 year. It always brings me the right students related to my field area mentioned on my profile. Their Customer Services step in if there is problem to student and they always get that solve.
One more good thing is that they allow students and tutors to go off-plateform both in terms of classes and payments. So, even if System's server is down , you always reach your student on time and can sechedule on zoom.

I've been with Superprof over four years, and I don't know how they do it. I've met the most brilliant people through here the world over. Have there been problems? Yes, but nothing that can't be handled. Mostly in the arena of students not understanding the platform. Once handled, there's very rarely any troubles. I'm proud to be a part of the team.

Didn't have a great experience. The first tutor made contact but didnt keep in touch. The second refused my request.

I have used SuperProf for years as the primary lead generator for my consulting business. They have never let me down and are always very gentle with my clients. I would never hesitate to recommend them to someone who sells their knowledge as a service.

$49 fee is high. Vs other site that charge percentage fee of hour rate. It would be equivalent of 20 hr of tutoring !!. Also many turptr on superprof are flaking off or changing pricing . Not relayable tutors. Yet superprof stull.wants to charge you their fee. Once the tutor accepts your request. There are other users reporting fake AI profiles. I think someone from the US government should probe this website

signed up for Superprof thinking I’d just browse tutors, but nowhere did it clearly feel like I was committing to a paid subscription. I hadn’t even contacted a single teacher or booked a lesson, and I still got charged.

I reached out to customer support right away explaining the situation and asking for a refund, but they refused. No flexibility, no understanding—just a flat “no,” even though I never actually used the service.

Really disappointing experience and honestly feels pretty misleading. I’d strongly recommend looking at other platforms before using Superprof. This one left a pretty bad taste. I never contacted a teacher! They automatically sent a contact request so they can charge you.

I’ve been working as a STEM tutor on Superprof for over a year and a half, teaching subjects like math, physics, chemistry, and also offering lessons in both English and Spanish. Overall, my experience has been very positive.

It did take some time at the beginning to build up reviews and attract students, so patience is definitely important. However, the process has been consistent, and the students I’ve worked with have been genuinely great people, which makes the experience very rewarding.

Overall, Superprof strikes a great balance between structure and freedom. It gives tutors the tools they need to grow while avoiding excessive fees and limitations. I would definitely recommend it to other teachers looking for a flexible and fair platform.
