I was fed up to the point when a Subway employee (mostly sandwich artist) have no talent at work. I'm going to blacklist this restaurant forever, and focus on other Canadian restaurants like Valentine either in the shopping malls, one being merged with Thaizone, etc.

Ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Salad PowerBowl. What I received was more like chicken with rice and sauce. Despite numerous requests, very little vegetables were given. For example, I was served one thinly slice of tomato and 5 onion strips. The spinach was wilting. At the end, the container was only 75% filled. This was at the Subway location in the Yamnuska Hall at the University of Calgary. I am a frequent customer of Subway but I will never go to this branch again.

Subway's Canada has no Customer Service department. There are no phone numbers or e-mail addresses to use.
As well, there are no mailing address contacts.
The Subway website is useless
The Subway website is useless. I have never used a more useless website. 5/10 times I cannot place my order. I don't like to load my phone with apps, and the Subway app doesn't even work well. Both are unreasonably slow and glitchy.

They do not have enough people working during busy times. I placed an order at 3:30 to pick up at 6pm and at 6:10 it wasn't ready, the store was full and the one person working alone couldn't keep up. I won't be returning since this isn't the first time I've seen this. Schedule your staff properly. I don't want to give any money to locations who don't value their employees or customers.

Multiple locations dispensing bad ingredients i.w moldy produce, discolored meat...and even when you tell staff, they dont throw them out.
Stale bread...foreign management that seems to think its ok to feed customers 'whatever' they have to serve...regardless of freshness.
This chain is indeed in a nose dive and I no longer trust.

I really hope the Liscard branch can improve, as I’ve unfortunately received soggy sandwiches that looked like they were just thrown into the bag. Consistency across locations would make a big difference.

Waited an hour only to be told they couldnt deliver the order, very poor service, last time only revived half my order, definitely wont ever use them again been let down twice now and for the price they charge. The complaints are mounting - the company IS falling apart , especially in Canada - they made the choice to upgrade their app and eliminate Canada out of the equation - when you update, you are changed to the U.S., Canada is removed - then the scan no longer works and it is being witnessed by many in Canada now - I have reached out to Subway Canada and they just DO NOT care - its the same malarky - if they did care, then they would have fixed the issue vs knowingly shutting us out as seen on numerous Reddit threads - its been almost a year of this
Subway in Diamond Valley chaeping out on portions
This is regarding the Subway in Diamond Valley (Alberta). I stop at this Subway every month or so, on my way between Calgary and Pincher Creek. I have done this for a year or so, and until this time my experience has been great. But my last visit (late January 2026), I ordered my typical italian BMT. I got half (or less) the meat I usually do. I got the usual number of slices, but the thickness of the slices were half or less that what I usually get. So I had half (or maybe less) the amount of meat I usually get on my sub. But I paid the same high price for it. I won't be going back. I think there is new ownership at this place. Cheaping out in Diamond Valley Subway. You'll pay the price in customer loyalty.
Food Safety Complaint – Improper Glove Use at Subway Location 5150 Yonge Street (Store #39391)
Dear Subway Canada Customer Care Team,
I am writing to formally report a food safety concern at your Subway location at 5150 Yonge Street, Store #39391.
During my visit, I observed a subway attendant repeatedly handling cash and then preparing food without changing gloves. The employee touched money and then immediately handled fresh ingredients and assembled sandwiches, placing her hands directly into the ingredient bins. This occurred multiple times, not just once.
As you know, this practice is a serious food safety and hygiene issue and goes against standard food-handling protocols. Given the risk of cross-contamination, this was very concerning to witness. On this occasion, the behavior was clearly visible and was captured on camera.
I am bringing this to your attention in the hope that proper retraining, supervision, or corrective action can be taken to ensure customer safety and compliance with Subway’s food safety standards.
Over priced, mediocre quality
On December 27, 2025 we were returning to Montreal and stopped at the Subway in Woodstock NB for lunch.
My wife ordered the Piri Piri chicken bowl and I ordered a 7-inch sub as well as 2 bottles of water. I watched as the person behind the counter made my sandwich, 3 pieces of each of the selected cold cuts, 3 of each of the condiments and that was it.
We had a problem finding a clean table after we got our order as they were all dirty.
The order came to $30.05, a little expensive for a Subway lunch. When my wife opened her Piri Piri chicken bowl it was filled a third of the way, I took a photo of it in case anyone didn't believe the contents.
Quality of the bowl was mediocre as was my sandwich, the only good part were the 2 bottles of water.
Subway just lost 2 more customers after this experience

Hvorfor skal man bestille på en skærm og have lov til at ændre indhold i sin sandwich, som ekspedienten ikke kan se?
Det system er så billigt lavet at man kun kan bestille de sandwich som de har sammensat, selv når man så fjerner noget i dem så fremgår det ikke af skærmen på dem som skal lave din mad???

Totally understaffed and dirty staff
Totally understaffed. They rarely have what you order. At least one ingredient is missing or not in stock.
Today they only had one type of bun available and all the festive sub ingredients were not available. This at 11am! S couldn't have sold out.
The servers didn't look clean either. Greasy hair and long hair not covered.
I walked away in the end.
