Absolutely delighted with my egg chair that was just delivered today. Great quality and the communication with them was very smooth. Lovely people to deal with, including the delivery guy who was very helpful with the instructions to set it up.
My chair is now the center piece of my living room and I could have not been happier with my purchase and with the choice of company.

Had to wait a few weeks before it was in stock, well worth it. Got delivery notification well in advance. Easy to unpack, very good quality, I would have a mild issue with the quality of welding on the base unit, other than that, lovely product.

I ordered an egg chair from Suave which arrived late June 2021 (now 5 weeks old) I was delighted with it until rust started to appear after a few weeks, on the chain attached to the basket and on the frame. I had the egg basket part indoors if it was raining and every night after use. I left the stand covered outside. Weather was great and mostly dry. I used their rain cover (purchased for €30) which doesn’t cover the base if rain was due.

When I saw all the rust, I wrote to the company. I received a reply directing me to the customer care leaflet about storing it indoors in winter etc. I have asked what exactly the manufacturer warranty covers? I was told wear and tear is not covered. But after 5 weeks, particularly in good weather, I do not feel this is acceptable. Rust spreads and is difficult to control.

So after spending €400, I have been left with a rusty product only 5 weeks old. The chair is being returned.

It is unfortunate that my experience of this chair has not been a good one after waiting for it so long to receive it. However, it has to be said that it was lovely and super comfy. The rattan basket and cushion quality was excellent. I was devastated to see the rust appearing. I would suggest it is best to use indoors if you have the space or use extra protection outdoors. I do feel the rust is a manufacturing issue and not the fault of the supplier. It is powder coated after all.

I wish Suave well with their business as they move forward and thank them for working with me to resolve this issue.

RESPONSE TO SAUVE: I am sorry but you saw the piece yourself when you collected it. I was there and nothing was said to me upon seeing the deterioration. The extent of rust in the shaft when it was taken apart was shocking. Inside the pole as well as outside was full of rust. I completely dispute the fact the rust was my fault but will accept it was a poor product I was supplied with.

I accept it may be a one off and a bad product. However to question my care of the item is underhanded and unfair. I take particularly good care of my items. I have an aluminium garden chair that is still pristine after 10 years because I store it correctly.

It is also interesting you blocked me on Facebook to prevent people from seeing the extent of the rust on the product in my photos of the product after 7 weeks. Really? It is bad practice to control who sees negative reviews. It was also unprofessional
to ask someone to remove feedback in order to get a refund. My experience is unfortunate but Can I not openly share my experience of your product that I bought and then blamed for its problems?

My apologies when I said 5 over 8 weeks. It was actually 7 weeks. This was an oversight. But fact is, there was considerable rust on it not having lasted a season. I did use the rain cover on the stand.

On a final note, you can look at my reviews on trustpilot. Yours is the only negative one on my page. I don’t leave negative reviews lightly.

I can only share my experience and people can make informed decisions on where to put their chair. After all it is a costly investment and we all work hard for our income. I would not invest again unless I had a place for it indoors permanently. It is too bulky and heavy to be lifting in and out. Very comfortable though & as I said, the cushion quality was excellent.

1) A simple apology and sorry about your experience would have brought this matter to a speedy close. Instead you continue to blame me for not minding the product, regardless of 5 or, 7 or 8 weeks rusted considerably.
2) I was not spamming people on FB. I merely suggested they bring their product indoors as I had considerable rust on mine.
3) I posted my online review this morning because you were insinuating I didn’t look after my egg chair in your response here on trustpilot, which I feel is misleading to the public to make an informed choice. General reviews from the Lidl, Aldi, homesavers, home store and more state that customers are really happy with egg chairs purchased there, no rust, even with no rain cover. Though I agree in time, it will naturally rust and needs to be minded. I wonder why you need to be so defensive about one bad product as you say.
4) Your comment justifying being blocked on Facebook…..well I have no words. I simply told people what happened and suggested it is kept indoors. If you take offence to that, so be it but I was blocked when I contacted you privately on messenger about what was happening to the egg chair. You immediately moved me to email and blocked me on your page so I couldn’t leave a review. You admitted same in an email and I have documented evidence of such. This is a bad way to treat customers.
5) The actual photos of the egg chair and the rust can be viewed on FB now and people can make their own minds on deciding to invest or not.

Amazing egg chair.the service by suave home was brilliant. Explained how to build it which only took a few minutes and the packaging around the egg chair was great no marks or scratches when unpacked..I'm so pleased I ordered this chair from suave home..seen the advertisement on Instagram for their egg chair. I cannot rate the Suave team highly enough. I had some questions before placing my order, they were all answered patiently, promptly and helpfully. Delivery was on time and most importantly the chair is great quality - and was easily assembled thanks to some helpful advice from the delivery man!

Gave it a 4 only because delivery took so long but was kept informed and it was an egg chair which is in high demand. But the quality of the furniture is fantastic, very happy with it and would definitely shop there again.
