I started to incorporate token economy with my 11-year old, and it is working great for now. Also, everything else gave me a new perspective on how to manage some difficult situations, both for me and my child. It also help me realise that maybe I am dealing with the ADHD kid that I never thought of. We are going to make some test to help us in the future. Thanks You once again!

Simple and straight forward tips, easy to put into practice

Very helpful. I've found myself implementing the tools here and there and seeing a shift in even the overall vibes of our home. I'd never thought about how yelling that dinner was ready, or calling for someone to do something when they were in another room could contribute to the chaos. Now everything feels much calmer and intentional.

21 Day ADhd friendly discipline was full of good advices for everyday situations. The Experiment Plate really stuck with me.

Strategic Parenting has helped us change the dynamic in our home using short practical lessons and challenges. It helps a lot turnining the things positive.

At first I was not convinced this was going to work, because hey what Instagram-App can hold their expectations? But when the yelling got to a point where I had the feeling, every time I talked to my kids I yelled and didn't know how to handle basically anything with my two daughters (almost 3 and 5 year-olds), I gave in and did this 28-day-no-yelling challenge and it really worked.
It helped change our lives for the better. We are making so much progress, spend more quality time together and the tantrums (even if they got worse in the first place) did get better and the screaming and acting out did get less.
Of course we still have conflicts sometimes but now I know how to handle them better.
And it doesn't only work with kids, it also works with conflicts in your day-to-day life.
You just learn how to calm yourself down and by doing so calming the person in front of you down as well.

After seeing many different avenues in regard to ADHD, Strategic Parenting just hit home. I felt seen and the language resonated with it all. I purchased the book and audiobook which I highly recommend! I listened to the whole thing one morning while drinking coffee and continuing through making lunch. It has opened my eyes to so much that it gave me hope for a positive future. I have also been able to share the activity worksheet with my husband and then re-listening to certain chapters together to connect the dots. I am still reading the book as well! And, I am also loving and appreciating the follow up emails reminding of crucial information including the mini audio clips. I love that the tips are not too long to read and not overwhelming. Everything is explained so that you understand why it works for kids with adhd and why other methods don’t. It just makes sense. I am going to print my emails and refer back to them.
