Long queue at the self service, more than half stations closed, why??? Crap service!!
Primark does not have any single sex changing rooms for women . There is a unisex and all woman which includes men. I would not allow my teenage daughter to shop there , it’s a high risk environment
I was shopping in Primark Bray today, my first and my last time in any Primark store. I had been looking at Xmas decorations, which are beside tills. After approx 30 minutes I queued to pay, I had a long wait for a self service till! When I started putting things through scanner, I noticed my face constantly on a screen above the till ( everyone's was), not a pic of me putting things through the scanner or packing bags, just my face and shoulders. When I was finished my scanning, my bill came to €97 however, before I got a chance to insert my bank card, a bell type of noise went off, and the screen informed me, very loudly that, I needed to call an assistant for a ' Random Check'? All the other customers around the tills were staring at me, and continued to do so while the assistant scrolled through every item I scanned through the till with a fine tooth comb, I was so embarrassed I was mortified!
I stood there like a 'good girl' ( I'm 60 years old), two people were obviously so distracted by the scene unfolding in front of them that, they walked out with fairy lights they forgot to pay for, set off all the alarms and nobody said a word to them🤷♀️. In the mean time, my assisstant/guard had finished her checks and as she walked away said 'ok you can put your card in now'. I was livid at this stage! You see I have a disability and with that comes a significant tremor, I didn't believe for one moment there was anything 'Random' in the check. I asked a security guy who the manager was and he said 'Why', to which I replied, in a very shaky voice, because I would like to speak with them, and then in very broken English, he asked me ' what you say to manager's, at which point I had had enough - because of the stress of the situation my tremors were getting worse and I could hardly speak. Another security guard came barreling out of a staff door and straight over again to ask what my complaint was and pointed out the assistant who had just 'checked' in case I had forgotten to scan something myself. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my mind or memory and I have never 'forgotten' to pay for anything in my life! I did leave all my €97 worth of shopping on the floor in bags and told the assistant/manager that I was so insulted and hurt that I wasn't going to pay or shop there again. Her reply ' yeah grand, just leave it there". Here's the kicker, when I got home, I did some digging and only found out that, Primark use facial recognition, they only do 'Random Checks' if they think your are stealing or up to no good. As I said, I have never been in the store before, so, they never saw me before. it's quite obvious because of my tremors/dissability I was deliberately checked. The lack of training is utterly shocking. The fact they got it so wrong, shows how defunct their security systems are, especially their face recognition. The only people who broke the law (apart from the actual shop lifters) were Primark because (a) they profiled me purely on my disability and (b) had I been aware they were using facial recognition, I would not have chosen to shop there, as I would never chose to give my hard earned cash to someone who doesn't trust any of their customers. In addition, I was never informed, by way of signage in store or on any other media platform, that Primark are using facial recognition technology, and passing that on to 3rd parties!
How dare you treat me in this way and shame on you breaking Irish law!
Please if you have a disability, or an inate sence of right and wrong, do yourself a favour and shop else where.
Also, my last point, I was wearing a pair of really good trainers, designer fleece and designer tote and I had just scanned through €97 euros worth of stuff, what did she need to scroll through and check every item? It just doesn't make sense, until you see my disability!
You might as well have branded me with a hot poker, do you have any idea of the long term consequences you have caused me?
Wouldn't work or shop here, not worth the time. From my perspective who's been an employee and a customer they are beyond professional.
Working for them they treat you like dirt, you don't matter to then unless your face fits on there "wall of management".
Avoid working for them unless absolutely have to.
The managers are the worst in Primark drogheda well the female managers unfortunately, they are very unhelpful. If you ask them a question they say they are on lunch or can't give you answer on any products why are they getting paid? It's ridiculous most of the staff don't care about the customers if you have an opinion they passive aggressively wish you a great day. Primark is very badly represented in drogheda flying tiger took their drogheda branch away Primark drogheda should do the same leave because I don't see the point of a shop with the worst customer care. It's very stressful for customers and not very useful to the community.
Amazing service from Marta today at the Ealing Broadway branch! I was looking for a set of earrings and I found them but the rest of the other earrings were missing. She helped me locate some of the earrings and was so patient, efficient and friendly throughout ! 5 star service from here and would definitely recommend her!
Crawley store got told today I was not disabled and to go and queue in the normal queue that was disgusting I don’t normally have a problem in that store but today was just disgusting
Store assistant Hakim from Primark on Tottenham Court Rd made my visit to the store a great experience. He located everything I needed to buy and took time to escort me to the items and helped me select the right choices too. 5* to Hakim for customer service and doing it all with a smile too.
Sales Assistant at Primark Was lovely!
She took me to the exact spot where I would find what I was looking for and then she checked for alternatives and spoke to me about a colour suiting me.
She really loves her job and is really good at it. Primark should be privileged to have someone like her and hope she doesn't get offered a higher paid role elsewhere.
Her name was Sue Old. I couldn't manage to get the feedback online via Primark so am highlighting it on Trust Pilot.
Thankyou
As a 71yrs old retired Customer Services Manager, I can honestly state I have never seen such a shambles and total lack of customer care than exhibited at Primark's Wakefield store.
Yesterday I joined a queue of 20+ people which ran the full length of the 16 cashier points - 14 of which were unused. Eventually, a young lady who had been chatting at the end of the counter opened another till but then started a conversation with the cashier next to her regardless of whether there was a customer in front of them or not. After a 10mins wait to pay, I eventually escaped to find the queue now stretched the entire length of the store.
After vowing never to return to that madhouse again, I returned home to find I had been sold a wrongly labelled item and so had to return again hoping things had improved. I was wrong.
Rather than just ask for a refund I thought I would try and find a correctly labelled pack to exchange but the whole display was messy and disorganized. T-Shirts and vests were mixed in the same '3 Pack', some 3 packs had two items, some had one, some had none and others were just strewn on the floor.
I asked two 'supervisors' about merging the items together to make the 3 Pack I wanted and was told to go to the Cashiers. Again there were only two cashiers on duty but this time the queue stretched out of the payment are, down the length of the store and even turned around the corner.
The lady behind me in the queue was fuming, she had waited 20mins yesterday to pay and was now waiting another 20mins to return a faulty item. She kept asking me why things were so badly organized at Primark, other stores had Customer Care counters where problems could be sorted while also relieving the pressure on the cashiers. I had no answer, but pointed out at a local Pound store cashiers were told to ring for extra till staff when they had a queue of two people to stop queues building up, Primark seem happy let 20+ people queue in their stores.
Whether it is lack of staff or just bad management I do not know but the result is the same - customers 'dumping' their shopping and walking out.
The lady behind me in the queue said it was no use complaining, as she had in the past and nothing was done and nothing changed. I complained on Primark's own website but only received a reply saying they could only read half of the message ???
NB I eventually bought what I wanted from the more customer friendly Matalan where they have self-service tills running alongside the cashiers.
Footwear is weak and falls to pieces. Soles come unstuck on first contact with cold weather. Primark refuse to refund money or replace footwear without receipt even though only bought approx. 10 weeks ago hardly worn and have PRIMARK written on the insole. These boots I refer to are still being sold by them.
Legally you don't need a receipt unless the vendor denies selling you the product. How can Primark deny selling these boots, it has their name in them and they are still in-store?!
Made in China, carbon footprint, sent to shipyard, carbon footprint, shipped to UK, carbon footprint, Distributed around UK, carbon footprint, sold to me and taken home, carbon footprint; then they fall to bits and need to be thrown in the garbage, CARBON FOOTPRINT. Primark footwear should state on the label 'Disposable' or 'Single Use Item'.
I no longer trust Primark and caution others about buying clothing from them.

🫶💐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Huge stores with a lot of choice for everyones' taste.
The prices are cheap, but also the quality of the product that you are buying is debatable. I have few clothing pieces that are still in good shape even after wearing them for some time now, but also I have a dress that is sewn crookedly.
Primark Tottenham Court Rd/Oxford St, London. We received outstanding customer service from the staff at the tills. As a disabled customer we were very pleasantly surprised with the full point for customers with additional needs. The lady serving us was super helpful and friendly. What a wonderful experience and made so much easier by easy access at the accessible till. Way to go Primark, well done, leading by example. Other large stores need to follow suit. What a fabulous example of supporting customers with disabilities/additional needs. Absolutely outstanding staff customer service. We will be back again soon. Thank you for such a great shopping experience.
Wouldn't exchange a pair of trousers for one size up, bought 3 days ago still got all tags on.
Supposed to be worn to a Cremation service told them this, insensitive bunch.
FORT KINNAIRD EDINBURGH
I always get my clothes from Primark as they don’t ones that don’t irritate my skin and I know that I can get my size from there most of the time. I love to look around to see if there’s any bargains there too.
If you happen to forget some toiletries, sundries, or last minute gifts/souvenirs, this place is great and a bargain. I just wished I went here sooner.
