I have been trying to register my new phone number with my account but it will not accept my identity check. I cannot get in touch with them at all, no contact number or email address for them. Thoroughly disappointed with them

Bought two electrical items , they are metal , so must have an earth cable , plug was not connected , and didn't come with an earth cable , so yo would get an electric shock , non BS complainat !
Asked to return them , complained to Ebay , and they would not take them back, waisted £125.00

I've been an eBay seller for over 24 years and have never had any issues.

Transactions have been smooth, items collected, no fraud, no issues with PayPal.

I've even had courtesy calls from Customer Services who were a delight to speak to.

Nothing more to add apart from I'm delighted to say that I've remained a 5 star 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 feedback seller since I started more than 2 decades ago!

Ebay are charging for insurance, but when you try and claim they simply ghost you. I've been scammed 3 times in 2 months by sellers. You contact eBay support. Then nothing. After 20 years I'm done with them. Profit, profit, and more profit is all eBay are interested in. The money they make from their fake insurance, must be in the tens of millions.

Mostly EBay can be trusted but reporting obvious fakes is hazardous . I actually provided photographic proof that an article was a fake . They said it didn’t transgress their selling rules !! They use bots to verify fakes , I very much doubt those bot know what they are doing .

I had to message a seller for a refund - which was my fault, due to misreading and slight confusion on my part that I thought I was buying a used item and was actually a downloaded item and so I contacted the seller straight away and they got back to me within a day, which was absolutely awesome and really good customer service.
I was actually surprised how quickly they got back to me during the Xmas period and really appreciated their service. I would recommend.

Have used Ebay for a few things over many years but am disgusted at their lack of action when sellers sell fake goods to customers. They make it possible to report a suspected fake but close the matter and tell you it has been looked into without actually doing so. In my case reported on xmas eve and closed as looked into on christmas day - yeah right!! sellers know they can get away with it and so they don't give a fig when you tell them you will report it

I hate this American company let's tax them...2 he'll and back...so they go back 2 America....there customer service a joke the a joke the decision making a joke...no wonder this company...is going down hill...come on temu...kick them to he'll....now just because this seller proved my address and the delivery...that proves nothing...I can prove my address...with pictures and ebay..
Don't care...and this seller has issues fraud issues and selling issues...and they ised a courier...that I've never heard b4...and this seller...has done...it on purpose....

Appalling I recently sold an item on ebay posted it with the courier the buyer chose and supplied tracking number yet ebay are with holding my payment. I have now reported the matter to the police and the financial ombudsman.

Ebay guarantee ? Doesn't seem to exist !
Bought an item from them, took ages to arrive then, when it did, was defo not as described.
Sent it back within an hour of receipt and contacted the seller who made a derisory offer. Contacted Ebay. Then then sent two emails - 1st said they were investigating, then the 2nd two hours later saying the case had been closed -and that the item WASN'T COVERED by their guarantee!
Ridiculous.
Have now taken it up with my bank who seem to need reams of evidence - but don't accept photographs as proof!
Still waiting for a final decision but not holding out much hope for a favourable one.....
Caveat emptor guys.

Don’t purchase anything from the shop eBay scams take your money get nothing

after 13 years working on ebay .this company is a joke sellers treated like dirt good buyers treated in the same way bad buyers ripping of sellers and ebay do nothing they rather let sellers go and to sort out bad buyers our statement states we will leave ebay in august 2025 i now sell on onbuy and treated like a seller its a much better site than rubbish ebay

I sold the item and customer collected after 2 days but myboayment was on hold for no reason. I waited 2 days and called ebay, they was askimg me did customer collected I said you can see I scan the pickup code, what kind of question is that.
So they said ok we will process the payment but its can take upto 48 hours, after 48hours nothing, I asked them againa nd they was asking me same question even customer didn’t complain anything. Customer was happy with the item. So now 5days gone since but not getting my payment.

I WON A CASE ON A RETURN ITEM THAT WAS DAMAGED I ASK EBAY TO STEP IN BUT THEY PUT IT ON HOLD SO WHEN I PHONED AGAIN THEY TOLD ME I WON THE DAY AND WOULD GET A FULL REFUND AND THE CASE WAS CLOSED ME BEING PARTLY
BLIND I CLOSED THE CASE THEN THEY TELL ME I WILL NOT GET THE REFUND BECAUSE I CLOSED SO WHAT A LOAD OF LIES THERE AGENT TELL YOU OVER THE PHONE SO FROM NOW ON I FIND ALIEXPRESS VERY GOOD IN ALL THERE WAY AND YOU DONT GET BULL SHIT FROM THEM LIKE YOU DO FROM EBAY

Been ripped off by a seller on Ebay. Ebay were no help at all so anyone selling sub standard products do it on Ebay you will have no come back I'm disgusted won't buy anything from that person again wish I could name them but Ebay would probably sue me . Be careful what you buy check small print ad Ebay won't help or upstand their money back guarantee . I have an update ebay have today informed me I won the case and have refunded my money thank you ebay hope other people on here get the same result

Beware if you make a bid for something supplied by a Company. Tucked away on page three of the item l bought stated VAT will be applied. Which i inadvertently missed
All very correct. But surely that should be stated on the page where you make your bid.
Then it becomes apparent that you make your bid accepting you will pay 20% more.
Obviously if the seller is not a commercial organisation there is no VAT. Time Ebay sorted this out.

As seller I can give 0..After 10 years hard work we need move our shop to different website. Our account was top seller with 100 percent excellent rewievs.some stupid from representative destroyed our account with out any explanation. We request limit up from 1 million to 2 million to add new upcoming stock.that person who rewiev account ask provide id documents. We provide same day.but account put on restrictions and our limit was dropped from 1000000 to 50000.customer service promise return limit.but 3 month in touch and nothing changes.we stop send out stock.and shut shop.move to amazon and open personal website..

The entertainment store Ordered paid for dvd 2/12/22 ,it's now 2/1/23 ,no order delivered no response to msga

eBay definitely is NOT SAFE to shop online with anymore at all.......Ordered wiper blades from a seller who sent out Chinese crap, which were nothing like those ordered or indeed as per pictures....So I contacted the seller & got no reply for a couple of days, so then I opened a returns case, SELLER THEN RESPONDED & offered refund if returned, so I sent them back at their cost not mine. Contacted eBay to complain about seller supplying goods that do not match those as listed & was told to report items, which I did! But as always it is pointless as nothing ever happens as always & the seller still lists the items with same pictures & gets away with it!
eBay representative said to leave the required feedback on how I felt the sale went, which in my opinion was negative, so decided to leave negative comments in a polite & truthful way, no swearing or anything like that, just the truth about the blades being defective and damaged upon arrival & not as pictured.
So no less than 5 minutes later after leaving comments, someone at eBay without any sense or knowledge of what exactly happened, removed my negative feedback, and this is not the first time this has happened.
It’s a joke to have to wait for items the seller supplied incorrectly & damaged, then advised to leave negative feedback based on how the sale went, only for some ill informed member at eBay to REMOVE IT…
So how does this make eBay a safe place to shop for all customers, when they are letting sellers get away with supplying the wrong items, and then when someone leaves negative feedback comments eBay removes it! Obviously they are protecting high volume sellers who bring in much needed revenue for eBay of course why shouldn’t they! Oh I am so daft I should have guessed beforehand…NOT!
So when I contacted eBay to ask why my feedback was removed, I was told it was human error, human error my *rse, the feedback system is flawed & representatives who have no understanding of when negative feedback should be removed, errors one thing but removal for telling the truth is another and protecting the seller is more important than you as a customer getting what you pay for! EBAY IS NO LONGER A SAFE PLACE TO SHOP – ITS OKAY FOR SELLERS BUT BUYERS BEWARE!!! YOU WILL NOT ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR OR INDEED SEE WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET UNTIL IT ARRIVES & THEN HAVE THE HASSLE TO RETURN IT – I KNOW WHERE I WILL BE HEADING FOR MY NEXT PURCHASE - Amazon – Wish – Ali Express, much safer & with better returns/refunds etc if or when things do go wrong…

Where do you start with Ebay? Great if you want to off load some unwanted items but not so great if you want a decent price for them. Then there's the enormous aftersales charge, which I believe is 30% not including the postage label. Ebay, in my view has become too complex; it gets somewhat confusing on their seller's page. there's just too much going on. Don't even try to contact them, that's when it gets really frustrating and stressful. If you only want to sell clothing items then go to Vinted, much easier and what you make is all yours. And another thing, do they pay taxes in UK?
