This is a SCUM company. I ordered monthly subscription for 149$ and the immediately charge me for full year 1788.00$. After I contact manager they refuse to return 11 month payment. And she said that annual charge was mentioned on web site with the small font....

Prior to purchase and throughout the Starter Account registration process it is made clear that the account is billed annually for a 12-month subscription period and that payment for the entire duration will take place at the beginning of the subscription - this was communicated to you in detail, including excerpts from the Terms and Conditions, Product Description, and checkout page. all of which provide clear information regarding the full 12 months of the subscription fee being billed at the beginning of the subscription period.
Please kindly note that the Statista products are strictly for business-to-business use, and we ask our clients to confirm that they are ordering the product for company or business use prior to submitting the payment details.

$1,788.00 Mistake.
Update: Statista refunded me 11 months worth of my money. Better than nothing.
I accidentally created a business account and got charged $1,788.00. I thought I was signing up for a middle tier account billed monthly. Nope. I realized my mistake moments after creating the account. I am not a business. I thought I was simply upgrading to access more data that was behind a paywall.
So not only did I open an account I'm technically ineligible for based on their guidelines and account requirements, but they will not respond to me across any channel. Phone lines, Accounts Receivable Department, eForm, Account Management @ statista…I highly doubt they'll do anything to refund me my money. $1,788.00 is an astronomical amount of money to me and pennies to them.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. If they ever do the right thing, I will make an update to this post. Currently I'm now trying to reorganize my budget because of Statista's deceptive pricing model.

Hiding how to cancel a subscription
Shady practice on how to cancel a subscription. FAQ claims there is a way to cancel online, but there isn't. I had to search through reviews to find out that the only way folks are able to cancel is by emailing them... I'm guessing which emails to use, as even that is not provided on the site. Purposefully making it difficult to understand how one may cancel their subscription -- shady practice in my opinion.

Fraudulent company
Fraudulent company. They ask you to open an account to read full article. You register and provide them with your personal details for them to sell to hundreds of company and profit from your personal information after you register they say after all you need to upgrade your account and pay a ridiculous $150 just to know some basic statistics about the world just out of curiosity. How stupid is that?? And now these crocks are profiting from me without providing me what I was looking for that they said I just needed to register for that. Laws need to pass for these corrupt companies to stop committing online fraud and lie to people.

Statista does not provide solutions for individuals, and is strictly a business-to-business company, all of our subscriptions are designed for companies, corporations, and institutions to be able to make informed and factual decisions.
The free Basic-Account that you have signed up for provides you with access to approximately 7% of the data on the Statista platform, we are unable to provide free access to the paid statistics on our platform, due to the nature of our data partnerships. At no point during your registration process was access to premium data offered with the free basic account.

Customer care is non-existent. The platform itself is nice on the front end but the customer account view is deplorable. The prices are too high for a small business like myself.

Was having issue in resetting password through "Forgot Password" Option, the prompt support and specific reply from ‘Suave’, Operations Trainee was so helpful. I am very thankful to her swift reply & support.
I am working as a Business Network development Manager in ALJ motors, where we are very much interested in Automotive Market study in Saudi Arabia. If I could rate them a negative 10 I would
If I coul put a negative five I would. It's a complete scam - after subscribing for a year I tried to cancel multiple times, but still get invoices from an account manager named Jascha Schmidt, whose job it seems is to keep pushing this scam as far as they can. I will be reporting them to a BBB for fraudulent practices. Shameless scam! Do not!!!!!!! Ever!!!! Get a paid account from these scams artists. BEWARE!!!!
For a company that deals with statistics - 63% one-star ratings should mean something...
Update: Statista STILL insists that account is renewed - even AFTER sending me a confirmation email that the account is CANCELLED!
AVOID THIS SCAM.

Before, during, and after the process of signing up to the Starter Account, you were provided with the opportunity to view our terms and conditions, as well as the product description which clarifies our renewal and cancellation policies (Upon subscribing, a copy of the T&Cs and product description were also sent attached to your purchase confirmation).
Prior to purchase and throughout the Starter Account registration process it is made clear that the account is billed annually for a 12-month subscription period and that we require notice of cancellation to be provided in writing, 6 weeks prior to the end of the subscription period to prevent it from automatically renewing.
As we did not receive cancellation notice in advance of the renewal period, your account renewed.
UPDATE: The cancellation confirmation that you received was confirming that following the renewed period, your account would be cancelled and downgraded - this does not negate the renewal that occurred following the lack of timely cancellation notice, as per the Terms and Conditions that were agreed before purchase of your account.

A complete scam company, I get into this scam last year and was told after charging 500 euros at once that I could not cancel. I have tried to cancel my account MILLIONS OF TIMES this year, but all the links and buttons to cancel my subscription are fake and cannot be opened or canceled.
