Victims of State2State: I know they quoted you something like $5,000 then came and pressured you to pay more. That is their bait. In the moment when you need to move and are under pressure, you make one bad decision after another. But do not worry, here is what you should do:

Call the bank and dispute your initial deposit. The bank may refund it right away; indeed, the bank already knows them, and there are several of us.

If they took your shipment and put it in storage without your authorization, it is a violation of FMCSA guidelines. Call the FMCSA and report them right away.

Go to the Florida Attorney General website and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services website and report them.

If you paid and have no delivery, that can be theft of service. Call the police where the pickup happened. They change their behavior when a detective calls them.

Call the bank for a wire reversal. Also, report them to the Attorney General of the state where the pickup happened.

I also reported them to the FBI since it is a federal case. I will also go to court to ask for compensation. Let us come together. After I posted on Trustpilot, someone from California reached out; he said they picked up his stuff in North Carolina and left it somewhere in Florida. I think our stories can attract media attention. Let us come together and make sure that they do not rip off other people and steal people's hard-earned money.

Please don't use this company. Its nothing but lies from beginning to end.

DO NOT USE!!! We hired out-of-state moving services through State 2 State Relocation, LLC. We have received nothing but unreliable, unprofessional services. We have discovered we are missing multiple boxes that we had valuables packed in. The items included were a Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox 1, subwoofer and miscellaneous cables and clothing. The boxes are nowhere to be found, so we are claiming this as stolen property. Our 65” tv was also dropped and busted on the corner and is not in working order. We have a lamp that is broken and several pieces of furniture that were not wrapped and have significant scuffing/damage.

We have been more than patient with State 2 State and their brokered movers, Adam Moving aka SALA company during this move, but enough is enough. We’re not being taken advantage of anymore. This has been the most unprofessional, unreliable, stressful experience we’ve ever had. We paid significant money ( total of $10195.60) and were given an estimate of $3891.20 based off of the thorough list of items that my husband gave them for their people (Adam Moving) to show up on Sunday, March 29 between 8-10. Then we were told 10-12. But then we were also told, no one could come to load until Monday, March 30. No one showed until Monday, March 30 after 12pm. At that point, Adam Moving guys scammed us into paying more money ($5500 additional funds above the $2945.60 that was paid up front) and then an additional $1500 to move a couch and bed from our condo to our storage unit (less than 4 miles away), but we were transparent with State 2 State Relocation as well as Adam Moving as to the items we had…all to be told, we didn’t explain everything. This is completely untrue, because we notified State 2 State up front of everything we needed moved where and when. If there was any disconnect regarding the cost of moving, it would’ve been between state2state and Adam Moving, so then State 2 State should’ve covered that difference. That furniture as well as the notification that it would be dropped at our storage unit was included in our description of our needs to state 2 state and was included in our quote. Then we had to pay more because we had stairs. We mentioned that before being quoted.

We were then promised that our items would be delivered on Wednesday, April 1. So we had to reserve a delivery time at our apartment building. After multiple attempts at contacting anyone in the company for confirmation of our delivery, we were finally notified THE MORNING OF that we would not receive our truckload. So we had to completely rearrange plans and also reserve a new timeframe at the apartment building. We were told we wouldn’t receive our items until Saturday! Then we received another phone call that it would actually be delivered Friday, so we had to change everything around again.

The ONE delivery guy that showed up Friday, April 3 arrived on time, but then tried scamming us into paying even more money because of the distance from his truck to our door, even though Adam Moving company’s delay was to blame. This is totally pathetic and I don’t know how they are still in business. So we paid him $3000 after we were told our final balance was $2750.

So now after unpacking all weekend, we’ve noticed our damaged items, and our stolen items. These items had already been added to one of our own boxes that we were packing but had not been sealed yet. We sent an email of complaint notification to both State 2 State as well as Adam Moving, for their foreman or the delivery guy to come up with our property by Monday, April 6 at 9am CST, or we will be filing a police report for theft of property. I submitted a complaint with the better business bureau as well as the DOT for both Adam Moving and State2State. These businesses need to be shut down!

State 2 State Relocation LLC is engaging in what can only be described as a calculated and repeatable bait-and-switch scheme.

We were quoted $6,500 for a full-service interstate move after an exhaustive, multi-call inventory process. We walked their representative through our entire 2,300+ sq. ft. home, room by room, reviewed the property on Zillow together, and disclosed every major item and 50+ boxes. There was zero ambiguity. Based on these representations, we paid a $3,000 deposit.

On moving day, the carrier arrived and immediately inflated the cost to approximately $17,000—claiming our shipment was “three times” the estimated volume. This is not a reasonable error. It is either gross incompetence or, more likely, intentional misrepresentation designed to secure deposits and exploit customers at the point of maximum vulnerability.

The timing makes the intent clear. The company knew we were required to vacate our home within 48 hours. This was a textbook pressure tactic: show up, dramatically increase the price, and rely on the customer having no viable alternative.

We refused to participate in this scheme and canceled the move.

Since that moment, State 2 State Relocation LLC has withheld our $3,000 deposit and completely cut off communication. Calls go unanswered. Requests for resolution are ignored. This is not a misunderstanding—it is willful avoidance and bad-faith retention of funds for services never rendered.

Public complaints show this is a pattern, not an isolated incident.

This company’s business model appears to rely on deception at the estimate stage, coercion on moving day, and silence when held accountable.

We are demanding the immediate return of our $3,000 and urge the BBB to investigate this company’s practices. Consumers should be warned: engaging with this company exposes you to significant financial risk and predatory conduct.

Showed up with a U-Haul! Scammed us for money after loading our belongings on the truck. Got a call from Aviad Romen to Venmo him 2400$ to get our delivery and if it is sent “right now” he will accept 1700$. Then Peter called for payment. Our quote was for 5800$. We are 8500$ in and they still haven’t delivered our belongings. Less items packed than quoted. We filed complaint with fmcsa this morning. Called our credit card company to dispute the initial 2500$ payment. Nothing we can do about the Zelle Cash App and Venmo payments - those are gone.
Initial contact was with Robert; he has gone MIA. We will continue to file reports against them until some type of resolution is completed.
Please research before hiring. This has been a complete nightmare

they are very unprofresisonal and work like mafia to take more money out of your pocket. there is no professionalism and accuracy on estimate. they will hold the luggage and take benefit out of situation..

We hired State2State Relocation to arrange an interstate move from Las Vegas, Nevada to Corpus Christi, Texas. The original estimate we received was approximately $8,000.

On the day of pickup, January 23, we discovered that the company was acting as a broker rather than the actual moving carrier. During the pickup process we were placed in contact with another party associated with the carrier, and the price increased dramatically. Including the amount already paid to the broker, the total cost rose to approximately $17,000. Because we had already paid a deposit and the relocation had to proceed quickly due to a job start date, we reluctantly agreed.

We were instructed to send payment via bank transfer to a company called APM Billing.

After the pickup, we later learned that the shipment had been taken to a storage facility in Henderson, Nevada rather than being transported to Texas. We were told this was part of a shared shipment arrangement.

Nearly two months have now passed and our household goods have still not been delivered.

During this time we repeatedly received messages from the broker saying things like “the shipment is being picked up tomorrow,” “the crew is on the way,” or asking if we were ready for delivery. Unfortunately those updates did not match the actual situation.

A local worker who helped during the move later confirmed that the shipment was still inside the storage unit and provided photos showing our belongings still in storage.

At one point Peter, General Manager of State2State told us the carrier had “abandoned the job.” However, the carrier previously told us they had not been paid by the broker. As a result we have been caught in the middle of a dispute between the broker and the carrier while our belongings remain undelivered.

We have repeatedly asked for a clear transportation plan and delivery timeline but have not received consistent answers. Yesterday after two months of not receiving our goods, the customer service person in State2State named Kayla told me to wait patiently instead of calling. They don't pick up my calls, I use my friends' phones to call them.

This has been an extremely stressful experience. We simply want our household goods delivered as originally agreed.

The guys at State 2 State really made my move easy. From the first call Robert explained the process very clearly and gave me pointers that made this move the easiest ever. The crew was very professional and my stuff got to our new home the same way they picked em up. Definitely will be calling Robert for our next move.
