They never have anything in stock evertthing is on 48 hour delivery what use is that to a trader..... you need things there and then pointles even using them if you need even simple things.

I bought a pressure washer from screwfix it was posted to me but it went elseware and they said it would be with me soon still no word of it comeing they said they put £20 into my account with them but at I could not use it online to buy anything I am still waiting on it comeing they promise me it would be with me shortly I dont think I will be shopping with them again.

Ordered a hosepipe at 3pm. Received a text to pick up at 3.05pm. Picked up from Truro Screwfix at 3.30pm!

This rating applies to Dundee dryburgh branch as dealt with other branch yesterday with an excellent service! Placed my order over an hour ago and they are still processing? How long does it take to pick a grinder and some discs off a shelf? I didn't order because I might need it sometime in the future, I ordered because I need it now! Terrible service!

The 2 garage shelves they delivered were only half packed, the packing boxes were very ripped and pieces of the shelves were hanging out; as I was unaware that they were due to be delivered I was not in the house to refuse to accept them in that condition. I asked for them to be collected as a return, which took several days, you are not given a time its an all day collection. They collected them and then returned one 2 days later, I went though the same farce again, having to wait in all day. Two weeks later I still had not received a refund and had to chase them; to be told they had now actioned the refund and it would reach my account in 3-5 days. When I asked why they stated it would take that long because of the banking side and as an aside eventually apologised. I will never use them again and could not recommend them, disorganized, arrogant and have little time for customers.

Not so much Screwdix as their Titan 150 bar pressure washer. Impressed and worth the extra few quid. The patio revolving head saved time and was more efficient than just the nozzle.
Only fault - cannot lock the handle when pressed in - makes for aching hands.

They state they price match when I made enquires on a item being sold cheaper at B&Q. The answer I received they are unable to price match other companies within the Kingfisher Group

I placed an order online on the 2nd April morning for two products one that will be ready the same day and the other product would have been available the next day .

Later in the afternoon I sourced the products from different provider and decided to cancel my order placed for £33.88/- to be told this

I am very sorry to learn that you no longer require the above order. Until the order is received and booked in at the branch, we cannot arrange a cancellation and refund. Therefore, I have contacted the Bracknell Trade Counter today and have arranged for the order to be returned to stock once all items arrive in store. Your card will be refunded £33.88 once the items arrive and this should reflect on your next statement. I trust this resolves the matter for you.

OMG are you serious the order was not picked up so don't see the point of inventory and delay in refunding immediately had I even gone to tesco (iseleworth) and bought a product in store taken it back same day and returned (to Bracknell store ) they would have given me refund same day ....today being the 7th of April and I have not got my money back from Screwfix .......now how hard is that to do ?

Been buying a lot of items from them for the last year or so to do my place up and do far no problems with any of the items and they have been helpful.

I wrote a negative review of a wireless electronic doorbell that failed on me after purchasing it from my local Screwfix store. My review has never appeared on their site. The product still has the same 3 five-star reviews that I saw a month ago. They haven't added my review yet. Screwfix seems to be hiding negative reviews. This is pointless behaviour. It'll lead to more unsatisfied customers in the long run. They are shooting themselves in the foot.

You’d expect a company that’s increased its profit 6x in the past year to be better than this. The cheap bargains on the website are out of stock and usually end of life so they’re not available for sale despite still being displayed.
Stock levels in store are far worse than they used to be and there’s a higher percentage of stock on a 2 day wait collection rather than being available off the shelves. This could be blamed on Covid but it was a trend noticed before that kicked in.
The staff at my local stores have consistently been excellent, it’s the website and organisational management that lets them down.

What is the point of sending out money off vouchers that cannot be reclaimed in store and do not work on Click & Collect?

Always used to be a good company but these days there is no stock in store and Click & Collect does not work.

Over the past 6 months I have been using Screwfix quite a lot. There are problems...........so why 5 stars?

My issue is availability. For some reasons many of the stores don't stock very basic items like 2+1 cable. Surely a few rolls of the cheapest option would be better than nothing? Sometimes when running out, the 24-48hr service isn't great. The same goes for tools.

However, other than that it tends to be a silky smooth operation. The website is easy to navigate and order goods. The message saying it is ready is always within 10mins, and once there it is super quick and easy to collect everything.

I recently had to make a return, and was half expecting a list of questions or concerns. But no, the tools were quickly checked and a refund processed immediately. For me this experience trumps the small issues (but please still get it sorted though).

Last week I ordered a spade plus other items from Screwfix. Unfortunately, there was a holdup with the store receiving delivery.
On my visit to the store, the apologetic lady serving me was able to suggest a replacement item which was in stock. The poor point was that I had to pay again for the replacement. However, I was told that a note would be left to cancel the original and apply a refund. I received a phone call today to confirm that I wished to cancel and also to confirm whether I wanted a refund to card or credit to my account.
As always with the Uckfield branch staff, customer service was excellent.

I have ordered a product from screwfix online, when it arrived, upon opening the package I noticed that the product has arrived in a used condition, it was wet inside and smelt of dampness. I had to self isolate for 20 days due to the fact that I have a positive test and on the day that the isolation was over my girlfriend tested positive. I called screwfix and explained the situation, they assured me that i will still be able to return the product after i have come out of self isolation as it wasnt safe for the driver to pick it up whilst we were positive. We arranged a collection as soon as we were clear. After a week we were informed that because the item was supposedly used by us and that we are passed the 14 day return period we cannot return it. I explained the situation and assured the customer return service that we did not use the product and that it arrived in such condition which is why we want to return it and have our money back ! They declined this. They do not listen to what we say, they ignore my emails and each time someone else replies. they claim that the have proof from the delivery driver that the item arrived in original closed packaging and therefore we used the item. What they dont understand is that that is correct but the item arrived in used condition and the delivery driver does not know what is packed into a box at the manufacturers. I am disgusted with the way we where treated. we received a used product, and are being declined the right to return it where its not our fault. They are unreasonable, rude and unattentively. Totally ignoring the fact that they are responsible and are being unjust and unfair. Now we are stuck with a pre used item that was sent to us in such condition for which we paid £1000. We will never buy from screwfix again ! Sort your staff out Screwfix because this is unreasonable and totally unacceptable. When i asked for the case to be placed higher in the complaints department i was informed that the decision of the return stands and that it will not change therefore we can no longer approach them about this. Ridiculous ! I used to be a happy customer here, but you have let me down. Never again.

I purchased an adjustable bottom entry fill valve from the Launceston store and got it home to fit it and couldn’t unscrew the bit that makes it adjustable, so took it back to the store and got a replacement, no problem.

Thought I would check it in the car, before making the journey home and found again, it wasn’t budging. At this point, I thought it may have been me, so re read the instructions on the packet and yes, it’s supposed to unscrew and adjust up or down.

So took it back into the store seeing the same woman who sold the original one and who did my replacement. She was very polite and she wasn’t sure of why it wasn’t unscrewing, so she went to get help, to see if someone else could see. The man who came out had a look and a go at undoing it and he couldn’t. So he went to have a look at others that were in stock. While he was doing this the woman was having a look at reviews to see if anyone else has had issues like this before. The reviews implied that it was easy to unscrew, so not sure what was going on with this batch. The man came back, having no luck with the others. He then began to get some tools out and was putting all effort, into unscrewing this thing. While he was doing this, the woman was seeing if there were any alternatives, that I would be interested in. While we were doing that, eventually the man was able to get the thing unscrewed.

Thank you both for all your help and patience! I know it’s just a fill valve, but in this current situation we are all in, the help was greatly appreciated.
