In response to their reply, I appreciate you correcting me regarding your Privacy Policy and EULA. Generally, Squid Servers is a great GUI-based application for people who aren't tech-savvy. That being said, the closed-source aspect isn't a major concern (it is for me personally). They own the application and can do what they want with it.
However, after opening the application, I noticed something worth mentioning. For server software that supports mods and plugins, the lack of integration with Modrinth and CurseForge in the Mods/Plugins tab is noticeable. It's not a dealbreaker, but adding MORE support for these platforms would be a great convenience, saving users the hassle of hunting down `.jar` files across the internet.

Hi, and thanks for the follow-up and the kind words about SquidServers.
One thing we wanted to clear up: since version 0.7, the Mods/Plugins browser in the app has been powered by Modrinth and CurseForge. You can install mods, plugins, and even full modpack servers from both platforms directly in the app, with no need to hunt down .jar files yourself. As of today (13/10/2026), the app is on version 0.9.11.
