Probably the worst online shopping experience
I decide to buy a city bike on sportland.com attracted by the price.
So I register by entering the delivery address to be able to see delivery cost.
At the last step of the checkout, however, the first problems start. The total amount shown is higher, although the price of the bike and the cost of delivery are correct, the total suggests a double cost for delivery. I go back and check the amounts again, but the price showed at previous step are correct.
I decide to place the order anyway as the total is still acceptable.
Days pass and the order is waiting for shipment.
I contact support using the chat on the site (no reply received in more than 10 days despite chat say they're online).
After a few days the order was finally shipped, or so it seemed, because despite the order being shipped, opening the DHL tracking I discovered that in reality the shipment was not entrusted to the courier.
I try to contact them again, this time also by email, and they tell me that it will take a few more days because they have to assemble the wheels of the bicycle (so why indicate the order as shipped?).
I wait a few more days and ask for an update. They tell me that shipping the bike with dhl is too expensive and so they are looking for another courier to ship it with.
A few more days pass and I receive an email telling me that the order has been cancelled because, and I quote their email:
"We would like to inform you that due to technical reasons it will not be possible to deliver this wheel to you."
Two weeks have passed since my purchase, the bike has not been sent and the money has not yet been returned.
