I got so frustrated i ended up braking my glasses . Mr L whom i so today 14/10/2026 lacked manners and compassion. I was urgently referred to hos clinic because of multiple spine issues only to get there and have Mr L say that there is nothing wrong with me (i am not able to walk 15 minutes without my legs and arms going numb and the pain is hard to explain ) and if he were to have a MRI his scan will.show he has same conditions as me . When i said i was in bad pain and other symptoms he said ,well i can give you a injection.
when asked when he said in 3 months time. Keep in mind i was urgently referred and got a urgent appointment only to have them waisting my time coming there. Why was the referral accepted if it had nothing to do with the osteopath ?

All very caring and amazing staff. Felt at ease at all times.

Because everyone, Dr Collighan, all the theatre staff, the ward staff and the porter were all so kind, helpful and considerate, they were all amazing, thank you all very much.

Everything about my experience was absolutely first class! All the staff were outstanding.

The Spencer hospital is clean and and well organised. What made my stay a brilliant experience was the staff. Every person I came into contact with was professional, kind, helpful and they always smiled and were engaging. I have not been in an environment before where everyone makes your stay an amazing visit.

An appointment at Spencer is a firm appointment, not a random clinic starting time, where you're expected to wait whilst several others with the same time slot are seen. The clinicians are most thorough and have always followed through with their promises and checked on the results of treatment. This is a truly professional and efficient way to run a health service.

I was treated with great respect by all staff and Dr's.All along the way I was update and explained as what was going to happen.Full respect for them all.

This is for Ashford. I went in for a small procedure under General Anaesethic. The rooms are so small that they have to remove all the furniture from the room before moving the bed. Television didn't work. Gave me a cardboard "vomit" bowl to do a urine sample. Offered me a sandwich or yoghurt for after the surgery. It was oral surgery, so I asked for a yoghurt, but they gave me a sandwich, which I was unable to eat due to my surgery.

Had to walk for absolute ages through the general NHS hospital to the surgery ward in my gown, slippers and compression stockings.

Staff were nice, although the nurses were there from the NHS A&E and didn't really know the procedures for anything. Really unimpressed with the facilities, food and everything else considering I was paying privately.

I was admitted for rotator cuff surgrey and all staff from porter to surgeon were brilliant

Efficient went for op before time specified. Care after ok although no one checked on my husband for a while . Discharge nurse vey helpful . Had to ask questions on some issues as we were not clearly told. Hoped to see surgeon again after op but didn't think it was registra just told it went well.

Overall a poor service throughout especially a private service having to chase up scan results and struggling to get in touch with the correct departments

Staff v professional. Excellent treatment.

staff were amazing couldn't fault the care and attention I was subjected to the only down side was the room although beds etc was clean the actual room its self was dated and dingy no TV and food although I was only in for 24 hours i had a sandwich and yoghurt the whole time .

Great team of professionals, surgeon fantastic, Anethatist fantastic, well looked after, food was great.

I have never been so upset in my life.
It started to go wrong when I entered the pre - op room.
The nurse there assumed she could shorten my name to "Angie" - a shortening I deplore, and what gave her the right to do this. I can't remember her name but s a very colourful theatre cap.
After the op I was in recovery and not ready to fully wake up.
She tapped my shoulders so hard the heart monitoring patches fell off. her colleague noticed that the monitor was "wrong". I didn't open my eyes so this was followed by pinching my right ear and digging her nails in so hard it hurt. I did not react so she got a flannel soaked in very cold water and rubbed it vigorously over my face. I find this totally unacceptable and is nothing short of assault. I was assaulted whilst semi conscious.
She gave me 1g of paracetamol at 10.30
Asked how painful my knee was I replied "quite a bit" so at 10.45 I was given 10mg of morphine.
The pain didn't abate much so at 11.35 I was given another 10mg of morphine
I got back to the ward at 12.35
This was a lot of morphine.
The next few hours I know what was happening. The ward sister "Beekve"? shouted and told me to eat. I was terrified. I cried and told her I would rather be dead than feel like I did. She ignored this.
I asked her to leave me alone for an hour.
I double vision by now.
It was only a male nurse came in and explained to hy I was feeling so peculiar. He was kind. I said I needed to be listened TO not barked AT
I could not deal with the physio that afternoon because I was not functioning in any way normally. to stay overnight.
However, the ward sister started to prepare me for going home but then told me to lie down on my bed.I was there for 40 minutes wondering what was happening. In the end I to buzz for her to ask. She replied nonchalantly that I was not going home. I should not have to buzz for a nurse to be told that.
I talked to the night staff and told them how unhappy I was and that I was going to complain.
The following morning more pleasant.
I am not happy and I think some compensation is in order.
I'm sure the press would like the story.
