Sons REFUSED to refund me, claiming it was too late to sign up to their money-back guarantee because my treatment had already started - 5 days ago!!

I signed up for a 6-month treatment of Finasteride/Minoxidil to treat a thinning crown based on the safety net of their money back guarantee, which I had seen proudly advertised.

However, they will NOT honour this unless you MANUALLY sign up for it *before* your treatment begins. This is despite their official website having any obvious way to sign up for the guarantee. You have to Google search their guarantee page, then scroll down through what looks like a Terms & Conditions page (so it looks like you're in the wrong place) before finding a place to upload your photos. Extremely poor and seemingly obfuscated.

I am putting up with side effects every day - I'm not sure what they put in this stuff, but I had an adverse reaction to it from day 1. They won't refund you based on side effects though, so if you want your money back, you have to make yourself sick for 6 months. So here I go, I guess.

Started with the Thickening Hair Paste which as a hairdresser I was very critical but it is really good. Easy to apply, lightweight and dries into the hair. I’ve also started on the minoxidil spray which I’ve used others before which were really sticky. While I can feel it in the hair it’s much easier to to work with than others I’ve tried.

Product arrived fast, product is legit and i am already noticing signifcant effects. Only negative is that i got told that i will get a welcome bundle, i didnt receive that, not a big deal for me but it does drag it down a bit.

The company took £189 from my account after a year, despite me clearly instructing them not to do so, and they are now refusing to issue a refund.
This is completely unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed with their handling of this and would strongly advise others not to use this company.

The Team at Sons hair growth for men, is soo professional, always pleasant, and eager to keep me as thier customer, if something isn't quite perfect, they do thier best to make it right. I feel like a valued customer! 😊 As for the product itself, I'm using the beard booster, and it is helping slowly, I've been using it for about 3 and a half months, but it does say on the website use for 12 months, to get a real difference. All in all I'm happy with how the company goes about its business.

I subscribed to Sons for hair loss treatment with the expectation of hair regrowth, and have been using the treatment consistently for around 3 months.

Unfortunately, I have not seen any noticeable improvement so far. While I understand that results can vary, the product has not met my expectations based on how it was presented.

One point worth noting is that cancellation is not as straightforward as expected — I had to email to request cancellation rather than being able to do this easily within my account. While this was ultimately processed, it does create unnecessary friction and could be perceived as a potential barrier to cancelling.

When I raised a refund request, this was declined due to not meeting their specific “Sons Promise” criteria (which requires 6 months of documented progress).

I then contacted them on 27 March to clarify whether I could begin documenting results from month 3 through to month 6 (given that their own guidance states results are expected within the 3–6 month timeframe). Despite sending multiple follow-ups since then, I have not received any response.

Overall, while the cancellation was eventually handled, the refund process, lack of flexibility, and absence of follow-up communication has been disappointing.

I would encourage others to carefully review the refund conditions and cancellation process before subscribing.

It is a SCAM their customer service line doesn’t work. You cannot contact the number listed on website. The call gets disconnected after a brief automated message “Application error has accrued we are sorry“. Avoid, there also state that they will send a reminder email before your subscription is due. They don't send any reminder emails just loads of SPAM emails about useless “tips”. Avoid there are a lot of better alternatives available on the market.
