The BaByliss foil shaver you purchased is designed to shave very short stubble, typically the type of hair left after using clippers or a trimmer. It is not designed to shave longer body or chest hair directly.
When you contacted us, you kindly sent a video showing the shaver being used on longer chest hair. We explained at the time that foil shavers are intended to be used after hair has first been trimmed short, which is why the shaver did not perform as expected in the video.
Foil shavers are widely used by barbers for finishing fades, cleaning the neck, and removing very short stubble, but they are not designed to remove longer hair.
If you ever need advice on the best tool for a particular use, our team is always happy to help before purchasing.

Refused refund for faulty product, ignored consumer rights
I bought a brand-new hair dryer that would not start from day one. I contacted customer support immediately, explained the issue, and clearly requested a refund.
Instead of processing a refund, Solo Salon Supplies arranged a DPD collection to send the item away for “assessment”. I was then surprised to be told that a technician had “fixed” the dryer as a gesture of goodwill and that they intended to send the repaired item back to me, despite the fact that I had never agreed to a repair.
When I reiterated that I wanted a refund, not a repair, they refused. They claimed the manufacturer’s warranty was invalidated simply because I tried a different fuse in the plug to confirm the fault — and used this as justification to deny a refund altogether.
This response completely ignores statutory consumer rights, which are separate from and override manufacturer warranty terms. A product that is faulty from the first day should not be repaired and returned without the customer’s consent, nor should a refund be refused on that basis.
Overall, very disappointing handling of a straightforward faulty-goods case. I would not recommend purchasing from them based on this experience.
