I have raised a claim on my credit card for repayment of my deposit because the company has told me they will not honour the cancellation clause and refund me my money. They have failed to install anything and only make excuses. A refund was promised a week ago by Matt Farmer who said Mr John Pearson (sole director) would give me my money back. No refund and no explanation. It appears to me that they accelerated deposit payments into the business knowing that they could not complete the work. Shame on them both.

UPDATE 15/05/2024! Company is closing down, if you are still waiting for a response or a service from them you can forget about it. I'm so disappointed.

I've had a call from a certain Chri this week, was advised I should raise a dispute with my bank to get the money back, that John will approve it within 48 hrs. it's been 72hrs, I have checked and nothing has been approved by Solar services solution. this company is taking the mick, I have emailed them and called and also called John a million times but no one answers. I find it shameful that as an owner of the company, you do not get back to your customers with updates.

If I could give no star I would have! I paid off 60% of the bill in January for a full installation because they booked me in within 3 weeks, that's GBP5400, they never turned up and when I called they said they had some issues and they will reschedule in two weeks for the scaffolding, Amber I believe was the one dealing with the schedules, she never called or got in touch. the scaffolding came and was installed but the solar panels and the rest never came. when I kept calling they said they didn't have the panels they had quoted me and kept rescheduling every 2 weeks, until I got Matt on the phone who told me that they have had issued with the supplier and that they have now ordered the panels directly from the supplier in Spain and assured me that they will be coming for an installation in May, that's two months later. Since, I called in to check on the progress in vain, to my shock, I was told by someone that their office has closed down and it is not clear why nor how, that John is now looking in to the current residential contracts and will contact me directly to discuss what they will be doing.
I'm just not going to sit around and wait anymore, this is going to the police for fraud as well as the bank.

Solar Services was one of the many companies that I received quote and after several phone calls and a visit, I agreed to go ahead with the installation. After paying the 60% deposit and agreeing on a date the scaffoldings and roofers to install the panels did not happen. Once it was that the guys were stuck in traffic (its more than 2hrs journey) and another time the person was in accident.

The communication is utterly poor, any information required I have to call several times. They would say they will back but the call never comes. I mentioned several times that i am not receiving emails but nothing was fixed. Only time they were prompt is when they wanted deposit, 60% deposit and the rest of the pay.

The solar panel installed after a month and the battery and other connections were done after a week. The solar panel guy did not install as per the design and I am still waiting for it to be fixed. They could not get battery, inverter etc and asked me to pay the remaining 40% so that they can order from somewhere else for the installation. I agreed for 30% though i was supposed to pay after everything is done. I paid the money and the next battery and inverter were connected. Eddie and the Zappi were installed but they are not working and I am still for it to be fixed.

Even though they know not everything is done, Matthew called for final payment and I said I will pay once solar panel is corrected and the technician fixes Eddit and Zappi. They made several commitments when the roofer and technician will come and till date no one turned up and from yesterday no one is picking up the call. I am now stuck that without certificate I cannot reach out to my energy about the excess going to the grid and also the Eddie and Zappi situation.

Though this company committed for life long service, now I am worried for even for the first appointment to fix the Eddie.

Such a horrible experience and big mistake in going through a company that is 2hr away from my home. Comm is aboultely poor.

This company was good last year but not sure what happened this year their service is terrible. I wanted to add more panels, paid half of the amount of £1750.00 by Matt in January and confirmed installation on for April. No one came up, after calling many times I was told the installation team is on paternity leave and they will be using external team, the installation was rescheduled and I was reassured that they are coming this time, I even called on the day of the installation and was told by Amber they are coming but guess what no one came again. Since no one came up I called, spoke many times with the customer team was told Amber is dealing with this and she will call me back. She never calls I need to chase her all the time. From the previous review it seems that they have supply problems and lying to customers that installation would be rescheduled. I cannot trust this company anymore. I had to pay for scaffolding which is up and installed now have to pay for keeping the scaffolding as not sure when they are coming to install the panels. Was reassured I will be contacted but no one contacts me I have to chase them all the time. Not sure if this company would go bankrupt as they not answering their phones now.

Taken full amount of £1500.00 by Matt Farmer on 06/03/2024 and confirmed installation on 18/003/2024. No one came up, after calling I was assured that it was a mistake and rescheduled on 28/03/2024. Since no one came up I called, spoke to Amber who said the vehicle was met with an accident and promised me the installation will take place on 02/04/2024. After calling again I was promised by Shelley that the installation will take on 03/04/2024. No one came,and I spoke to several jokers customer team and they transfered to Matt who said the supplier cannot supply anymore. Waiting for the Refund and a next course of action.

I have spent thousands and been left with a system that will not work and a company that will not come back and fix it. Once you pay them you never see them again. The system does not charge properly, the car charger doesn't use energy from the panels and I am now in nearly £1000 debt with my energy bills, having never been in debt before the panels were fitted. I am disabled and cannot now afford charge my electric car at home, the whole point of the solar.

Still chasing the company but they do nothing but send technical read outs from a computer that mean nothing. Please think again and find a trustworthy company!!!

It may seem that 3 stars is very low and that is because the correspondence was poor to non existent. I had a quote for 14 panels plus battery which I was happy to accept. I was told by Dom that the they could fit the panels as soon as I wanted. I explained that my roof was being refitted and that the scaffolding would already be in place. I then had an email from SSS stating that the scaffolders would be arriving the following week which almost caused me to cancel. I also had numerous invoices over a couple of weeks for 15 panels with the same date on and even when it came to payment, I was given yet another wrong invoice for 15 panels costing another £250. I used this error to reduce the correct cost by the same amount. There were too many errors to list here and I was on the phone regularly chasing up dates for the arrival of the the fitters. Having said that, I now have the installation I wanted fitted in a reasonable time frame at a cost I am happy with and if my emails had been read occasionally and acted on accordingly, I may have given a 5 star rating. However, 3 is the best I can manage.

Very helpful and flexible in the availability of installation times. The only shortfall was in the follow up paperwork. I understand that may have been caused by a staff change and my paperwork being overlooked. After a few phone calls the problem was resolved and I am now up and running. Thank you.

An efficient process from start to finish. A considerate company that informs of each stage and progress so you are never in the dark wondering.

From the first contact to installation of the panels SSS were extremely professional. The team of fitters and electricians were so good and helpful nothing was too much trouble. When the job was over they cleaned up as if they had never been there.
All in all, a first rate job. Even when contacting the office staff they were so helpful.
We would give them 10 out of 10 all day long.
Well done to the whole team at SSS.
The after sales service has been 5 stars as well.

When given the quote we were told that scaffolding was included in the quote, however no scaffolding was erected as we live in a bungalow. They said they would use scaffolding towers but this did not happen either. When the fitters arrived they did not even have any ladders so we had to borrow ladders from our neighbours. Even so, they still deserve 5 stars.

From the outset, I was impressed with the representative from Solar Service Solutions (SSS) who visited by invitation. In contrast to the other 4 reps from different companies who visited to quote, he demonstrated a good knowledge of the systems comprising an installation, he was cooperative in explaining the possibilities and benefits, and was very prompt in offering a quote for 14 panels, an inverter and battery. Moreover, the price was very favourable compared to other quotes and he was prompt in following up with answers to my questions. Similarly, the surveyor who later visited to plan the installation was cooperative and open to ideas and this helped me to establish the optimum installation plan, particularly with regard to the positions of the panels, battery and inverter. In the same vein, the team who visited to carry out the installation of the panels and initial cabling were helpful, efficient and, as it turned out, very cooperative when we found, mid-work, the beginnings of a hornets nest in the tiles. They worked round the problem - safely - while I arranged to deal with the nest. Also, the electrician who installed the battery and inverter was very professional and quick and he left me a neat and tidy installation. And so, from the practical work aspects, I had a very good experience. Only three things prevent me from awarding 5 stars: communication from the office could have been better concerning aspects of the installation when I sought answers to questions; the scaffolding arrangements could have been better - and I am aware that the scaffolders were engaged locally - in that removal of the scaffolding after completion was delayed by more than a week, rendering our front door inaccessible at a time when the only possible exit from the house for my disabled wife in a wheelchair was unavailable; and finally, more information from SSS from the outset would have been helpful in understanding the processes involved in obtaining a Smart Export Guarantee - or at least a signpost to where the information is available would have been useful. As I write this, some 3 months after going live, I still do not have an Export Guarantee but I am assured its on its way.

I had 4 quotes from different companies, three were unaccomodating with my request for location and position of panels. I found Solar Solutions excellent, the initial visit by William, I found him very knowledgeable and was listened to where I wanted the panels located. The panels and system were installed within three weeks and I cant speak more highly of the electricians who carried out the fitment, nothing was too much trouble and the job wasnt rushed. Would highly recommend this company

We recently had a solar panel and battery installation.
We are really pleased with the product and quality on installation.
The installers were polite professional and answered any questions. The site was kept tidy throughout and after the install.
On the negative side communication between the office and client could be better. The scaffolders did not arrive on the day agreed and I was not informed until I contacted the office. The solar installation was also moved but I was informed of this first. The battery was not commissioned correctly, this was only noticed when we checked the app, an engineer was sent to site to rectify the issue.
However overall we are pleased with the product and quality of install, with better communication this would be a 5 star review.

The Team were very friendly and professional from start to finish. They kept us informed throughout the whole install and gave us great advice on the benefits and savings we would make. Very pleased, would highly recommend.

Really pleased with the service provided by the team as Solar Service Solutions. Would definitely recommend to others!

Arrangements for various parts of the project (quote, scaffolding, installation of panels, electrician etc) were very efficiently handled. After sales service could have been better, I had to chase on several occasions for scaffolding to be taken down and to resolve an electrical issue.

We are very pleased with the result BUT there were several problems along the way - 1) the installation took from Friday one week to Wednesday the following week (the 1st engineer was notably incompetent and a total of 1 more engineer was needed on the following Tuesday plus 2 more on the Wednesday,) AND it took a further day before the software was made to work properly, 2) communication from Solar Service Solutions was poor throughout; I had to phone on numerous occasions to check or remind them that various stages in the process were in hand despite assurances that they would let me know, 3) removal of the scaffolding has been very slow, it is now 16 days since it was erected and the installation was completed and working 9 days ago; at the time of writing this review we are still waiting!

The salesman who visited was knowledgeable & provided options we hadn’t thought of. Excellent service from all the trades involved in our solar installation. From the scaffolders, panel fitters to electricians who did the final commissioning all the trades were polite, efficient & respectful of our property & we were left with a fully functioning system the day of commissioning.
I did have to push for the scaffolding to be removed but it then came down within 2 days.
Overall extremely happy with our experience with SSS

When Dom came to give us a quote for the installation of Solar Panels and a battery, he made sure to explain all parts of the process form how it all works to the work that would be carried out. The only difference with the fitting was that instead of fitting the invertor and battery in the house, it was moved to the garage and is now out of sight. All trades went about their jobs in a respectful manner. We were left with a fully working solution after the electricians left. Would recommend them 100%
