I was in intermittent contact with this company for close to a year as a homeowner seriously preparing for a solar installation and was ready to proceed once final contractual details were clarified.

To protect myself long-term, I proposed a written addendum to clearly define responsibilities and risk allocation related to roof integrity, maintenance, and liability. This was not a decorative request — it involved substantive, binding terms that materially affect a homeowner’s long-term exposure.

I was initially told we were “on the same page” and that the addendum could be signed. However, once it came time to formally integrate those terms into the contract, communication stopped entirely despite multiple follow-ups.

That silence created a pause which allowed me to reassess the investment more carefully. Combined with the lack of engagement on contractual clarity, it became clear that we were not aligned in how risk and accountability should be handled, and I ultimately decided not to proceed.

I am sharing this so other homeowners understand the importance of insisting that key responsibilities be explicitly written into the contract — and paying close attention to how a contractor responds when asked to do so.

I engaged with this contractor in good faith and invested significant time evaluating the project. My request for a written addendum addressed substantive risk and long-term responsibility, not cosmetic terms.

At a critical decision point, communication stopped for over ten days despite multiple follow-ups. No notice, timeline, or indication of any legal review was provided at the time. That silence led me to conclude the project.

After this review was posted, the company issued a public response referencing a refunded deposit and an ongoing legal review. For factual accuracy, no deposit was paid or retained in connection with the second negotiation, and no such review timeline was communicated. This clarification is provided so future homeowners can judge both the promises made and how accountability is handled when requested.

Product (NEP PVG-C) works well with the PV-Guard RSD devices and the Tigo TS4-A-2F RSD devices.

The one thing that would have been nice would have been a more complete description indicating that the dual "cores" were included, which they were.

I ordered the 1st generation C-1000. Also ordered 2 solar panels and the kit that can hook it all up together. Did not come with the piece that plugs into the charger. After 6 weeks of back and forth emails, they keep saying they will look into it, but no results. The manual stated that the part I am missing was supposed to come with the charger. I finally ordered the part I needed from Amazon.
The Anker charger works great now but going forward I will purchase everything from Amazon, not Solarpoweredstore.ca

Good prices and responds in a timely fashion

Very slow communications. Project do not start on time and take for ever to complete the installation. Design was discussed and then when installers show up the system then was redesigned adding to the cost of project. Orders were delivered with wrong address for delivery on them and I was given short notice about arrival. Contractor needed gravel and they sent 35 ton of it, contractor was supplied as they only needed a little bit. too much rebar was ordered and 2x4. Contractor show up with out basic equipment such as shovel, rake and on day needed a level. If you say anything then the pour of concrete gets pushed back, for example this is my 3rd reschedule. The equipment arrives and you have to store it or put it outside in weather for a long period of time, or put into a garage and leave your things outside in the weather. The application was delayed for a couple of weeks because of putting in the wrong address.

Avoid Solar Power Store Canada – Poor Customer Support

I was gifted a Luxpower LXP6K (SNA-US 6000) inverter that was originally purchased from Solar Power Store Canada. After installation, I encountered an issue where the inverter wouldn't recognize the battery. I reached out to their customer service for technical support.

Since the unit was a gift, I didn’t have the order number. However, I provided the serial number of the inverter, which should have been enough to verify the purchase. I even contacted Luxpower directly, and they confirmed the inverter was bought from Solar Power Store Canada.

Despite all this, the company refused to provide any technical support. It’s extremely disappointing to see a business refuse to stand behind the products they sell—especially when proof of purchase is easily verifiable. This is a clear example of poor customer service and terrible business practices.

I do not recommend doing business with this company.
