Soho Editors Arvostelua

We've used Soho Editors several times for training and to be honest the booking each time has been shambolic with dates being constantly moved at the last minute.

We've had enough now with the recent training session cancelled at the last minute and although we offered to pay for one on one, as it was important, it took them 3 days to organise at which point the trainer wasn't available anyway.

As we aren't London based we lost deposits on train and AirBnB bookings.

It just doesn't seem like a very professional business with poor customer service and management.

To be honest it felt like they couldn't be bothered.

We will certainly not use them again or recommend them to other agencies as we have in the past.

Last week I completed a three day Premiere Pro course virtually and I couldn't recommend it enough. It was completely professional, engaging, and thorough, whilst not being intimidating or difficult. What a complete success and it was a wonderful three days – Thank you!

Excellent, carefully explained, patient, advanced level teaching. The skills I've learnt from two of their courses have been an invaluable aid to my everyday work.

At the beginning of the recruitment process, it was not clear what role was the candidate was sent for as we were recruiting for 2 different roles in postproduction. I gave that feedback and then it was more clear.

It was a long process but Nick had a good attitude the whole time.

My experience working with Nick was excellent, he made sure every step of the process was clear. Nick was fantastic at getting back to me throughout the whole process and helped answer any questions I had. I would definitely recommend him, he made the whole process stress free and was incredibly supportive.

I have nothing but really good things to say about my experience with Soho Editors. They made the whole process super easy and I would most definitely recommend them. I was approached by Nick after a friend recommended I speak to them and it was smooth sailing after that! Nick is super friendly and easy going, he worked his magic and I had a job interview days after our first chat. He took me through the whole process, offered interview advice and was super speedy at getting back to me. I will 100% be getting in touch with him for any future work.

I booked a DaVinci Resolve course for me and four other editors in my team. Soho were able to organise a bespoke course at our offices with one of their trainers, Leon. Leon was fantastic, tailoring the course around our needs and happy to answer questions the whole way through to clear up confusion or further explain a concept. After the course I think all of us are keen to start using DaVinci in our workflow, which is exactly what I was hoping.

I've been represented by Soho Editors for four years and they've been amazing! Laura & Anna have been super helpful and really on it. I've mainly worked with Laura and she's a real gem - they're really lucky to have her in the team! I've had no problems with bookings or getting paid, and I've done some pretty cool jobs with them.

I've been represented by Soho Editors since 2019 and it has definitely been a high point in my career. They have provided me with many opportunities to work on some really unique projects with truly amazing clients. Laura & Anna and the rest of the team at Soho Editors are incredibly kind, patient, knowledgeable and efficient. All of the projects they have brought me onto have gone incredibly smoothly due to their professionalism throughout the whole process.

I would highly recommend Soho Editors to anyone seeking representation or to any production teams who are in need of a freelancer for an upcoming project.

Soho Editors started representing me in the middle of the pandemic. They are always been very helpful, and even at the start, they managed to find me work. They always put me forward to projects and deal with the clients for me. I am very glad they were happy to put me on their books.

Soho Editors have represented me for the last five years and have always done an amazing job finding me work, dealing with clients and managing payment.

Really excellent Beginners Premier Pro course! Course leader Leon was awesome, super clear, fun and never made you feel stupid for asking.

Great structure to the 3 days too. Felt like I took away a lot!

I had a really good experience with Nick. He was helpful and supportive during the interview process and right up to receiving a job offer and signing the contract. I would definitely recommend Soho Editors.

Mike is a great tutor. Really knowledgable and very easy to understand. He's great at simplifying complex ideas and processes within Avid.

Soho Editors have been really flexible, organising a bespoke course and delivering it on a disjointed timeframe to fit in with our schedules.

Nick was fantastic. Very helpful and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend if your looking for editing recruitment.

I really enjoyed this course – it was clearly well described as it was the perfect level for where I am at as an editor. Even elements that I thought I was comfortable with, Mike gave me extra tips and tricks that I had no idea about! Well paced and was done well as a remote class with good resources to work with. Looking forward to using what I've learnt.

Nick did an awesome job of finding people that fitted with our needs, team and culture. We were looking to fill two full-time roles: one for a Senior Video Editor and one for a Video Editor. On both occasions we found someone in the first round of candidates that he sent over to us, which is incredible and not what we expected at all. He really understood what we needed and delivered on it first time. We will only use him in future and would strongly recommend him to others.

Soho delivered great online course. Informative, well prepared and to AVID's specification due to MC certification.

I found the course very helpful, it gave me a more detailed explanation which added to the my knowledge about Adobe Premiere Pro.

The After Effects Beginners course I took part in was really good. The amount learnt and insight gained in just two days was brilliant. The tutor Olly was really easy-going, went a good pace to learn a lot but not get lost and really intuitive. Clearly a very talented person, so you're kind of taught off the best.
