Smokpub Arvostelua 

This whole thing was a terrible scam to fund their product so they could sell it on Amazon and make money. They even took my money for shipping. They gave me a fake tracking number. No one will hold them responsible. They do not answer emails. I will try to contact them through amazon. Please do not support them even on Amazon. From what I've heard the product is garbage anyways.

There were some difficulties with the shipping of SmokPub, it arrived as promised prior to the holidays. They fulfilled their end of the deal. Gifted the product to a friend and it was well received. Thank you.

I backed Smokpub’s Kickstarter project in late October, lured in by their promise of delivering an innovative product. Initially, they advertised an October delivery, which then shifted to November, followed by December, and then "before Christmas." Now, their emails suggest Smokpub would make a great New Year’s gift, leaving me to believe even the "before Christmas" timeline has been abandoned.

As of December 17, I’ve received nothing but frustration. A tracking number for my order was generated on November 2, but it sat with no movement for weeks. Then came the shocking news that over 1,150 units, including mine, were allegedly seized by U.S. Customs. Since then, the updates have been a chaotic mess.

Communication from Smokpub is abysmal. Responses to emails are painfully slow (if they come at all), and the updates are wildly inconsistent. Some backers are told to contact Customs themselves (how is that even our responsibility?), others are promised refunds or reshipments, and some are just left with no answers.

What makes this all worse is that Smokpub is now selling the product on Amazon for less than what we paid on Kickstarter, and those orders are being delivered! This feels like a slap in the face to the backers who helped bring this product to life.

Their handling of this situation teeters between sheer incompetence and outright negligence. They’ve offered nothing but apologies and excuses, with no real action to make things right. I don’t know if this is fraud or just logistical inexperience, but either way, it’s unacceptable.

This was my first Kickstarter experience, and it has completely soured me on crowdfunding. If you’re considering backing Smokpub—or any Kickstarter project—don’t. Save your money and wait until the product is available from a reliable retailer.

Smokpub, if you’re reading this: get your act together. Your backers deserve better than this.
