Smiths Of Harrogate Arvostelua

Excellent service, product, and delivery! We were met with friendly faces who were more than willing and ready to help us with our search for a chair to help my dad during a particularly difficult and sensitive time for our family.

Olly quickly mobilised his team (I believe it was John who helped us), and together they found us the perfect one that both suited our needs and looked exactly how we wanted to match our existing decor!

As our requirements meant we needed something quickly, and we were so so grateful to have the delivery within the week. It's also worth noting that the delivery people were a complete reflection of the care and excellence we experienced in the store, thank you!

We're now the proud owners of a new chair which not only provides a huge level of assistance, but also looks great in our home. We can't thank the team enough!

It was a pleasure to deal with Paul Irwin during our recent visit. His knowledge and experience shone through in his advice and guidance. This is not a store we have dealt with before, but we are sure this purchase won't be our last with Smith's. Looking forward to our pending delivery. Thank you

Great service with a previous order so we have used them again. Good prices, easy to use website.

Excellent sales man, the access to different levels of the store was very easy with use of their ramps and we couldn’t have had any better service.
Would highly recommend!

What a pleasure to deal again with this company which adheres to old fashioned standards of quality and excellent customer service provided by a team of friendly and knowledgeable staff from the moment you step through the door. No pressurized selling or marketing techniques here, just personalised help and advice when needed until decisions about your purchase/s are reached, followed by clear post-sales communication. If only more companies and businesses could follow their example.

Brilliant customer service! Friendly, helpful, nothing too much trouble, made buying my new furniture a total pleasure. Plus very well priced furniture and competitive. Thank you to Paul who responded to my very many messages and requests in such a friendly way. And for the assistance in getting it delivered! I am delighted to join the many customers from Smith’s of Harrogate!

Helpful, friendly staff, who approached us to see if we needed assistance, and then gave us time to browse the store, without feeling pressured. On hand when we needed clarification of colours and sizes and when we wanted to purchase something. Clean store, furniture well spaced for browsing. Quality furniture.

We visited Smiths today 27 November 2025. We were greeted by and served by Christopher who was extremely helpful. He covered all aspects of a three piece suite ensuring we were aware of sizes and materials. We ordered one following our discussion. Smiths have a very large selection to choose from. We had visited other retailers but none compared to the excellence of Smiths.

We spoke with Christopher regarding purchasing a leather chair. We were delighted with how friendly and knowledgeable he was with great attention to detail. He went out of his way to gain the information we needed.
We had no hesitation in placing an order with him.

Absolutely blown away with my new sofa !!
I chose the Ercol Forli chaise in Moss green and it’s come better than I anticipated . It’s class and the quality is superb.
The staff at Smiths of Harrowgate helped me when I changed my mind with the colour last minute and I am so grateful to them for sorting this.
Going forward, my family and I will not be buying furniture anywhere else
Thankyou so much guys.
Shout out to Graeme and Christopher -thanks for your patience 😊😁

Beautiful showroom and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Such a great experience. I travelled all the way from Cumbria to Harrogate to see a specific piece of furniture and was not disappointed!

We visited Smiths furniture store yesterday and from the start we had a very friendly and positive experience. Paul took the time to explain everything about the furniture that we were interested in.We are now looking forward to our new furniture being delivered. All in all a very nice shop. Many thanks Joy and Mick.

High standards all round - excellent products and excellent service.

This is such a lovely shop. John was very patient and let us look at all the beds with no pressurised sales which we liked. The prices were clearly marked and we chose one which was comfortable for us within our budget. We liked that there was a good choice of beds with natural fillings which we were looking for. Thank you.

Justine’s customer service has been excellent.
As we live quite a distance from the store she really went the extra mile photographing fabric to help us make the right decision.
Her attention to detail, help in confirming our order and very friendly and prompt service by phone and email are first class. We look forward to visiting the store to pick up our order.

We visited Smiths yesterday to view their range of riser recliners. John Chamberlain could not have been more helpful with his expertise and knowledge. We felt confident to order two chairs and are looking forward to their delivery. Overall a great experience. Thank you John.

Ease of finding product and ordering. Same day dispatch. Fantastic service.

I was greeted by Paul & he walked me through the process of buying a sofa He came over as very knowledgeable & honest.
The store is full of quality whatever you are looking for we soon found what we wanted that was easy and our new sofa was delivered yesterday improving on the estimated delivery time. The delivery team was like the store professional it was put together and set up for us in no time with all packaging collected up and taken away. My Wife and I are over the moon with our new sofa and a store that we will always visit first in the future.
S&A Wise
Harrogate

Phoned up to discuss the Lazyboy chair. Sales guy knew exactly what I wanted to know and was very helpful. This was the first time I had dealt with this company and my initial impressions were positive which was important as I had gone via their website- reassuring to speak to a human being and not AI slop.

I contacted Smiths of Harrogate by email looking for a Harrisson Spinks mattress, received a quote and what followed next was a highly professional order processing with all relevant paper work. The peak of the process was the way the warehouse team prepared the mattress for a long journey: the team put together a custom made long pallet 🥰👍, the mattress went into a cardboard box and a couple of layers of poly...it arrived more than safe on its destination. a massive thank you guys for showing your respect both for the product you sell as well as for the customer. it is a level of service that one expects from a shop selling mattresses from a producer who has been voted bed manufacturer of the year. thank you oliver & staff
