Really, really good shop in every respect. I cannot fault it.

I've possessed a photograph of my pop hero of the '60's for 25 years. The photo is actually 50 years old and I came by it after Auntie Ruth's was refurbed around the year 2000.
It has been aging somewhat as naturally happens, so I decided to call into Skears to ask if they could restore it to its original pristine condition.
They duly investigated and have produced a phenomenally fresh reproducation.

This was my second visit to the store in just 5 weeks, the first being to purchase battery and film for my 40 year old Olympus camera.

The service I've experienced comes as a result of the sincere dedication that the staff give to their work.

Special mention for Ellen, who on each occasion has been my port of call.

This customer is basking in the elation of finding staff who go above and beyond the call of duty.

Many thanks and may others find this goldmine for photographic enthusiasts, sooner rather than later.

I recently bought a used camera accessory from Skears via their eBay store. Everything went well. Goods as described, delivered on time, paperwork correct. Not much else to say, just a good company that know what they are doing. Recommended.

Great experience with this company! Seeking a specific item for a gift, I called them and had first class service. Nothing was too much trouble. The item was sourced and ordered in. I was called back. They would get it to me as soon as possible though it couldn’t be sent out to arrive before the birthday, 2 days later. They hoped it would be very soon after that.

Found a great deal on a Nikon-fit macro lens, ordered it quickly and arrived just as fast, definitely the place to check first for good camera gear.

A very good repair job. It took a long time for the repair to be done but that’s the same with most camera repair workshops because they’re backlogged and so busy.
The communication was reasonable and there were updates to keep me informed.
I’ll use them again in the future.

I sent my Mamiya 654 1000s for a CLA which was excellent even when dealing with an issue that occurred when I started using the camera. So yes I would recommend Skears for all your camera repairs and maintenance. Thank You

Everything went as planned, the repair was to a 1990 vintage Minolta 85mm f1.4 lens for which I am told there are no longer parts available, although Skears had a stock of some in their stores from way back!
