I was pleased to find Trustee Accounts after a long search to find an experienced Cater Allen intermediary. However, I would urge caution/proactivity wrt obtaining the necessary documentary proof from the Government Gateway, as this is complicated/confusing to navigate and I found that I couldn't rely on their instructions, which were initially incorrect and then, when revised, were not specific/clear enough. It took me 3 attempts to obtain the correct document, which delayed the application process unnecessarily and resulted in our beneficiary losing out on £154 by one day, because of a change in interest rates. I was disappointed that no ownership/explanation was offered for this lack of knowledge/guidance - after all this is a key part of what the fee covers. Otherwise the rest of the service was efficient/polite although, again with timescales in mind, be aware that if the Trust Expert is out of office, it seems that her assistants can only take very limited action in her absence.

Its always a pleasure to meet with Chris at our Annual Review meeting. I get a good update of where we are at the moment and can freely discuss any concerns or possible changes to the investment strategy or withdrawls. Chris has an excellent understang of our needs and can suggest diferent / better alternatives when required. Overall we are very happy with our relationship from both Chris and Simpson Financial Services over the years.
