Helpful staff who took time to explain the process clearly. And they called when my allocated storage unit changed so even arriving after the office was closed presented no problems.

Non-existent customer service

You could not possibly get the worst customer service experience. When a payment is late, Shurgard adds a £20 late payment fee for administrative charges, which I understand and PAY as the payment is late. They call you, and when you answer, they put the phone down on you. You attempt to call them back, but the call and inquiry are directed to a different store, where another staff member will handle them. This store never answers their calls or returns your call. The staff members "politely" tell you that if you are not happy, you can go somewhere else. How is that for professionalism, and a patronisingly degrading way of telling you that they don't value you as a customer.
