Shropshire Home Improvements Limited  Arvostelua

The workers, Jason Wayne and Jeff who came to fix our roof were amazing. They worked very hard and got the job done in good time.
A sales man Patrick was very pushy for us to get more work done and did not like to accept the answer no. Apart from that no problem.

Polite, good quality

From receiving the quote for the new fascias to be done to scaffolding being put up really good then finally the work eventually being carried out,Ian and son Ryan were really good, did an excellent job, would highly recommend them to others, they kept me well informed to what they were doing

Very pleased with the new porch outside the kitchen. A very difficult job to attach it to the outbuilding to ensure it is watertight, they took their time and I am delighted I will now stay dry when I take the washing out!
The father/son duo were polite, tidy and efficient. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

After reading many positive reviews and receiving a leaflet through the door we decided to book an appointment to see if Shropshire Home Improvements could help us in building our Sun Room. (A Liv In Style Conservatory)

Having never untaken a build like this before, Ben was very good at answering all our questions and insisting he could get us what we wanted within our budget, when other companies were charging more. We were over the moon.
We booked and paid our deposit in February and asked if we could be completed by Easter Half Term in April. Ben told us it would be a push but should be doable.
April came and went and we had to make contact with them to find out what the plan was. We were then given a build date. (To which we had to keep chasing - the dates and timeframe started slipping dramatically)

All of the builders and fitters were very good at their jobs and work was quickly completed. However we were told it would take 3 weeks for completion. 1 week for brickwork, 1 week for glassing and roofing and 1 week plastering and electrics etc.
Maybe we were naive but these 3 weeks were not altogether, we had to wait months for the glass to be made and then fitted and so on. The project was not competed until unfortunately the end of the summer holidays in August.

As the project went on, little things cropped up that we would mention to the fitter that wasn’t what we had discussed in the initial meeting or what we wanted and we were just told repeatedly that was how the product was made and there was nothing they could or would do about it, or that it should have been made clear to us when we had our first meeting.

For example – We wanted French doors that could be opened fully (or we would have chosen a different style of door) this was agreed for us along with them suggesting which hooks to buy for fitting to the brick wall and the fitter would do this for us.
In reality the doors only open 90 degrees and the fitter wouldn’t fit any hooks for us.
Another example, the drain pipe obstructs one window from opening at all and we were just told this is how it should have been sold to us. It was not.
The plastering on the surface looked good until it came time for us to paint, we had to spend half a day filling in holes where the plasterer had missed and then cut the bottom as they had plastererd too close to the floor for when the flooring needed to be fitted.
Also in the initial meeting we were told the room would be finished with skirting board but as we didn’t have this written down they wouldn’t do this.

We did bring all of these issues up at the time of the build, along with other things to which nothing could really be resolved or rectified.

Whilst we were pleased with the work and the finished product, the time scale was not acceptable and things that we thought we were getting didn’t always turn out like we thought.

From the initial contact, through to final installation everything ran smoothly,
The lads doing the installation were friendly, prompt, tidy and did a great job, thanks.

Daz was a really great worker and he did a brilliant job . Would recommend the company to anyone thank you so much Daz

Very quick and efficient service ,very professional company. Father and Son team completed the job to an amazing standard. Would highly recommend for Roof insulation.

We are very pleased with our new garage roof installed by Shropshire Home Improvements. The sales team and surveyor took their time telling us through what they could offer. Their price compares really well to what someone on our street recently paid. The workmen Daz and Jason were very friendly and hard working. They got through the work in the time they estimated and the quality is really good. We opted for a rubber roof with new joists and boards to replace an ageing fibre glass covered roof and corrugated plastic cover between the house and garage. They reversed the direction of the slope on the roof and put in new guttering. The new roof is much better insulated than the old one making it much more pleasant to work in the garage on a hot day. Overall very pleased. Thank you

Josh the agent who first came round was not pushy with his pitch he has given me all the information for a new front door so when the time comes I will be considering Shropshire home improvements as one of my leading chooses well done Josh great customer service 😃

I really don't want to waste anymore time on this company but basically we had a composite front door fitted, within a year it started making the most dreadful creaking noise, someone came to take a look, oiled it, then said it was bowed, SHI said this was their suppliers fault, after a few more visits and chopping and changing excuses, the original fitters came out to check it was fitted correctly, a self licking lollipop if ever there was one, great guys but turned out it wasn't fitted correctly, accusations i was rude to someone on the phone, i asked if calls were recorded could they highlight the point at which they perseved me to be rude to the particularly unhelpful call taker, turns out they are not recorded so only one side heard. I was left feeling like i was imagining these issues and a nag... i would never use these guys again, i don't doubt when they're good they're great but when theres an issue bullish behaviour kicks in. I still have emails indicating narcissistic behaviour. Polite and curtious fitters but blimey the rest! No doubt the response from the company will be they kept trying, I'd say refitting the hinges a number of times is a waste of everyones time and their money

A complete conservatory refurbishment managed and constructed very professionally- excellent!

The workmen Daz and Jason did a superb job. They arrived early and had finished in two hours.

Well done to Daz and Jason for a professional job on the new garage roof myself and my neighbours had repaired together.
Would recommend no problem. Very clean and tidy finish . Turned up on time when they said they would

Had a new garage roof done by this company, the workmanship is of the highest standard, would recommend this company to anyone, the two fellas Daz and Jason worked methodically and the job was finished to a very high standard ,thank you both very much,

We had new front door - made to measure. Work was efficient, Darren and and Harry (the fitters) were friendly and lovely chaps. It’s also nice to support local business - and we have heard lots of good things about Shropshire Home Improvements

A great company, from first contact to completion everything was done within the timescale advised, and all doors and windows were replaced in 2 days. This was the only company that looked inside and out of our property, advised possible alternative configurations to the windows and front door and provided the quote before leaving. All the people we dealt with were friendly, polite and professional, highly recommended. There was 1 problem, caused by the window frame manufacturer, which was addresses promptly and caused us no real problem.

My flat garage roof needed relaying and was done by this company. Ian and Ryan carried out the work in an efficient, tidy way and I'm very happy with the end product.

Very professional from start to finish, delivered and completed job when they said on time. Staff especially Daz and Josh very informative and skilful, thoughtful while completing the work, cleaned and tidied afterwards too, we are very pleased with the product.

An excellent product skilfully fitted by two professional fitters, Daz and Josh. We are delighted with their work. We highly recommend the company.
