I wish I could give zero stars 🌟 because at this point my nerves are shot. Order #55840 i ordered a pack or Skittle shrimp and pom pom crabs.... I got the shrimp and the shrimp only. My account was charged for both and said both were delivered 🙃. Nope. So I sent an email, called the customer service number (there is no person on the other end) filled out their DOA paperwork TWICE even tho my order is just plain missing (They want you to take a pic...its required.... how do you take a picture of nothingness) I got an email back telling me to fill out the DOA form! So I did again. I wrote a review and it was deleted so clearly there's a human or a bot somewhere. I just want my money back at this point and I cant even get that.... just don't do it to yourself. Especially if you're neuro spicy and have a heightened sense of justice. It'll make you wanna scream.
Also they only ship on Mondays and Tuesdays....

Have not received the moss we ordered after more than two weeks. We reached out and got a rude response. Will not order from this immature and unprofessional company again until they hire some adults.

Stay away! They do not have anyone on the phones or replying to emails. I made an error during check out, as I used a third party app and haven’t done so in a while. Absolutely my fault. The *moment I realized the address was wrong, just after I hit “order”(of course), I reached out and tried to fix the issue. I have called 5 times, sent I believe 5 emails now, all to receive nothing in response. Take your money elsewhere. This has been an absurd experience. Shout out to the people in Quincy, MA that got a shipment of live shrimp from me, I hope you enjoy them and definitely don’t look me up and call me a weirdo!

The owner I believe goes by the name of Thomas. Customer Service is nonexistent with the store all automated phone support system. Order#51917 that was assigned time was shipped early Saturday morning (09/12/26) and is not expected for delivery until Thursday (09/17/26) not sure what the logic is behind that. Also requested a refund, several times before the order was to be shipped out with no reply or concern. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for aquatic shrimp not to do any purchases from this so called aquatic store, nothing but frustration is what you will receive.

The first time I ordered them, it was pretty fast shipping. So I recommended my friend to order it it’s been three weeks and she still hasn’t received her order and the second batch that I ordered still hasn’t been shipped after two weeks I have emailed them multiple times with no luck of getting a hold of them.

Never received my $90 order. They don't answer the phone nor do they answer the emails sent from their "Contact Us" page. STAY AWAY.

One shrimp DOA, dead on arrival. Other 3 died next few days. Ordered 10, 40% of them died under first 9 days. 1 arrived with caldo, and almost infected whole tank. They do not respond on emails, and ignore bad reviews.
Save tour money and avoid!

I ordered some Rasboras, a pom pom crab, and some cory catfish to the tune of just a little more than $95 on June 3. Kept waiting for the shipping, was told the first time they didn’t make it through quarantine. Second time after 2-3 weeks that they only had a partial order and I said I would rather have them all at the same time. 3rd contact was it was too hot to ship, 4th, 5th, 6th time, nothing. Now Ive been being ghosted. No reply by email. Phone goes to voicemail that the mailbox is full. Ordered shrimp before and had great service. This time not. Check the tracking number and it says it was delivered on the 28th. Do not trust your moneys with these people. Not very good customer service. Oh, and now every email ad I receive from them is a picture of the pompom crab that I ordered.

Very disappointing experience with Shrimp Up Aquatics. I ordered two Blue Dream breeder packs and received only 5 shrimp instead of the amount I paid for. The shrimp that did arrive were alive and healthy, but they were even shipped inside one of the guppy bags, which was strange.
I reached out multiple times by email and submitted a claim to try to get the missing shrimp resolved. After all that, I was told they could resend the shrimp, issue a refund, or provide store credit—but only if I removed my PayPal inquiry first.
I shouldn't have to give up the protection of a payment dispute before the company is willing to resolve a shipping error that was their responsibility in the first place. I simply wanted the order I paid for, and instead I've had to spend far too much time trying to get a straightforward mistake corrected.
The shrimp themselves arrived healthy, but the way this company handled the problem afterward completely ruined the experience. Based on the customer service and resolution process, I would not order from them again.

Update 10/7/26: The company finally got back to me several weeks later and said they would reship my order if I paid $9.50 for shipping. I agreed, that sounded reasonable. They shipped fairly quickly the following Monday and I received on Tuesday, the next day. Barely any packing in the box, several inches for them to be bounced around. The large bag was full of water (1/2 gallon) and completely packed with dozens of small pieces of moss, so much that I could not see any shimp. I had to run out and buy a 1 gallon round fish bowl, transfer the mess to that, then painstakingly pick out piece by piece by piece of tiny moss pieces, because I wasn't putting that mess in my clean aquascaped tank. In the end I found 4 live shrimp and 9 dead shrimp. Not sure how they died in 24 hours. The temperature was perfect for shipping so it wasn't that. Im not even filling out a DOA form, its not fair to the shrimp, and I am completely done with the company. Cutting my losses and buying local when Im ready to purchase again.

(8/18/26) I ordered the 10 pk skittle shrimp. Most were DOA and half eaten. The water was dirty and smelled bad. I also ordered and paid for moss, but did not get. Emails are not responded to. Based on reading lots of reviews, its common to receive dead shrimp, to have missing items, and to be ghosted from the owner.

Worst company ever! The owner won't answer the phone or respond to emails. I ordered fish and capatta leaves over a month ago. The first time he "sent" the order, it never left Lansing. I told him I wanted a full refund and he didn't respond. Just sent me a copy and paste generic email. He JUST NOW supposedly "sent" me the fish and leaves. When they arrived, there were NO FISH! He STILL won't answer the phone or respond to emails! I just want a refund and take my business somewhere else! Never again!

I ordered 5 skittles shrimp, they sent 8. I was concerned because I live in texas and was concerned about the heat in the middle of the summer, but they were packed safely, insulated, and all alive upon receiving them. I lost one of them as they adjusted to their new tank, but the other 7 are thriving! of the 7 they sent, only 4 are actually colorful and the others are gray/clear, but they've been so fun to watch and I'll be ordering more soon. They have been growing/molting regularly and seem very happy. You never know what to get when you order live animals, but these guys have been great! I'll 100% use them again.

My name is Laura Mills. I ordered a Pom Pom crab (which has already died), 5 red, 5 blue, and 5 yellow shrimp (which 2 of those arrived dead). I placed order #45300 on June 30, 2026. I finally received my order on July 9th. As of today, July 22, 2026, I STILL have NOT received my replacement shrimp which they promised to send to me. Their customer service is absolutely horrible! I would suggest you go through a different company to order your animals! I DO NOT recommend Shrimp Up Aquatics.

Maybe this started out as a legitimate business, but it's now the most disorganized dropshipping mess you could imagine. To make a long story short, I never received my order. There was a long email chain of me having a one-sided conversation, which apparently someone was, in fact, reading, because after I threatened to file a chargeback on my credit card, the items I ordered arrived... from Amazon and Aqualeaf Aquatics, respectively. I still never got my moss. This has just been bizarre and exasperating.

I received two orders from them, first one was 10 carbon rili shrimps that all received alive but mostly low quality rilies!
The second order was 10 Amano shrimps, there was 2 DOA upon arrival. I took photos and contacted them several times but they never responded! This is how they treat their customers! Don't get fool by those false reviews on their website. I"ll never buy anything from them again! Greedy people

Not only were many of the shrimp I ordered DOA, they weren't even shrimp I ordered. It's clear they just gather whatever shrimp they want, place them in a bag and say 'good enough'

Plus they were bagged poorly. Nothing like the reviews I was watching from others.

Not to mention they didn't even send the food that I ordered with the shrimp. I guess they just got free lunch money for themselves.

These people are deceitful. I will never do business with them again.

I have had nothing but problems with Shrimp Up Aquatics! I ordered on May 20th. Had no response from them. I reached out on May 29th. I was informed that my order could not be filled due to a Guppy quarantine but was not informed of this earlier. I reordered on May 29th getting different fish along with shrimp and a pleco. My order came on June 3rd. with only one Rummy Nosed Tetra and the other two were mostly consumed by shrimp and could not take pics as there was only fragments. Also, same with shrimp. Only 3 of 5 were alive and the others were consumed my remaining shrimp. All species were put in one bag instead of separately. The bag was put in an unsealed heat bag with a piece of packing material on one corner. Please do not order from Shrimp Up Aquatics because it is a crap shoot how your order will arrive.

I order shrimp from this place and got the typical automated order confirmation. The website promised free UPS 2 day shipping. 24 hours later, I had no shipping confirmation, so I sent an email saying I needed them shipped by the next day for the order to get to my house before I left for the weekend, otherwise can el the order. 24 hours later, a Postal Service label was printed and info sent to me, but the packaged wasn't shipped. 48 hours later, still not shipped. The Postal Service does not get to my location in 2 days from anywhere anymore. Three days after my email was sent, they finally responded saying they would ship them today (Wednesday) which means they would likely arrive Friday after I leave if they miraculously got her in 2 days, but more likely Monday and dead. So, I asked again for a refund (I think the 3rd time at this point), and they said they would refund everything accept the shipping label, despite the fact that my first request for a refund was 24 hours before they printed the label. Their customer service is terrible and extremely slow, and using the postal service instead of UPS is unacceptable.
