shipping is slow
I got some good stuff - but the cost of shipping usually makes the price double - they use fed ex - but when they use the ONE cent shipping, they send by USPS which we all know is a broken system - next when I call a shop out, for taking a week to get something in the mail - they make the same lame excuses - someone was sick blah blah blah - hey - with the money they are making on donated stuff they could maybe hire another person - anyway they don't like it and then you go on a list - and they reject your bids - which is fun because they are beating themselves out of money instead of heeding the feedback and it does not cause me to cry to not be able to order from them. It just reminds me of how bad their service was the first time - okay so the last straw was for me, was them sending something but not showing it on my email - why do they have my email if they are not going to use it - oversight - anyway I canceled my account - no more online goodwill - there are two big ones right here in the city - hit or miss - you find treasure on you don't. But my point was goodwill could have done well with this venture and stolen a lot of ebay money since people are burning out with ebay too - but the goodwill is not really planning it well or paying attention as a unit in the shipping departments and you just get burned out dealing with lame service - the money is getting tighter - and a lot of the stuff I was buying I was just donating to charity here - for dogs and cats and the zoo - not goodwill - lol - so it was like hobby deal - but for the money spent I can just go to walmart and buy socks and underwear and donate that stuff - people buy it if its still in new wrapper. Anyway as far as I can tell Goodwill lost out already - and it will only go downhill - some of the places charge way to much - backload with high delivery charge and its not costing them that much - so where is that extra coin going?
Getting a refund is like pulling teeth!
"Won" a set of ceramic kitchen canisters. The largest one arrived smashed and in pieces due to inadequate packing. Contacted shopgoodwill for a refund and discovered that their returns system seems specifically designed to wear down and frustrate buyers seeking a refund. First, they require multiple photos. No big deal, so does eBay and many other sites, right? However SGW has size restrictions, so you have to resize every photo before you can send it. Once you've resized them, you discover that their system is set up so only ONE photo can be sent (if you try to send two, the second photo simply replaces the first), yet they require multiple photos (damaged items, packing slip, shipping container, etc). To send the additional photos (required), you have to send them additional separate messages, each with a photo attached, each, again, resized. To facilitate this action, SGW has to close your case (!) each time; which they only re-open when they get the additional required photos. (Yes, their default is to close your case after each reply, rather than to keep it open till a resolution is reached!) I complained about how frustrating and time-consuming this process was, and they apologized for my having a hard time navigating their system, as if they weren't the ones making it difficult. I've been going back and forth with them for several days and am still awaiting a resolution. Certainly, I will not be bidding on anything fragile from SGW in the future.

I had to restate that I was nor asking for a refund I was donating the item i just wanted a reimbursement of the shipping and handling charge, I received another email stating the shipping charges were reimbursed. They stated they do not refund handling charges. I guess this is a way the Goodwill Tennessee steals money. I am still arguing the person on the other end.

I will give them 2 stars because I have received a few items as described . I have received 2 items that were not as stated , the one was claimed to be brass and wasn't it was a wall plate that was gold in color with a painting of a pirate on it . They did right by a reimbursement of monies spent. I just now received my item yesterday on 4/25/26 which was a cast iron dutch oven pan with lid . They stated on their sale that it was made in the USA, they kept that part kind of covered so you couldn't see where it was made from ,so I went by what they were saying and made the offer ,this is the online auction .Well when I received the item it clearly shows made in Taiwan not the USA and sent a message to the support team requesting all moneys be returned . I also sent a message to the main office . I received a message from the support team saying they replied I received nothing . I am going to contact the main office if I do not get a response . I want a full refund because they were deceiving in their description . So just beware when bidding on the auction that you may not receive what was stated . Great Experience But Doubts About One Location
I've had an excellent experience with shopgoodwill.com over several years and dozens of items. I would urge caution, however, with some of the "fine art" listed by the Licking Knox location in Newark Ohio. There are hundreds of pieces with "buy it now" prices in the thousands of dollars purporting to be by famous artists such as Picasso, Peter Max etc. Earlier listings described the pieces as "numbered on the piece" when they weren't. The "Letters of Authenticity" no longer appear in the listings. Most were from Artova.com, a company with no information on the web except for its own website, Facebook and Instagram pages, which doesn't appear to have a physical address.

Fedex was the only issue..
I ordered a midi keyboard and it went really well until fedex shipped the package to the wrong address (state). I contacted shopgoodwill.com through their site and they corrected the issue. The keyboard arrived several days later wrapped in a whole roll of bubble wrap. I only gave it 4 stars because of the Fedex mix up.
Rip-Off
They showed a cable along with the device I ordered. When arrived it didn't have the cable. The device was much dirtier/damaged than in the pictures shown online. Will never order from them again. Scumbags only out to improve the CEO's bottom line and cut out "resellers." I know now to trust resellers more because most of them care. Goodwill does NOT.

Took forever to get a refund for 1 item I sent back from 1 goodwill. Another goodwill lost my order so I had to argue with them til they sent me my item I paid for.

Honestly, I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about shopgoodwill but I actually really like it. I know the people that work at Goodwill are not experts and a lot of the time things are listed basically or inaccurately but you got to give them some credit because they work with lots of different types of items everyday with no time to research. Every time I have bought anything off of shopgoodwill it always arrived on time and the people that work there are very nice. They will help you quickly and respectfully. Honestly, you can also get some super cool things at an unbeatable price! Definitely a cool place to check out and get some great stuff!

From my experience, a shopper has about a 70% chance
of the item descriptions being purposefully dishonest.
I think the website is trying to liquidate items that wouldn’t sell in the stores and this is how they decided to attempt to turn a profit on broken down stuff that should be thrown away.

Shopgoodwill Of North Georgia Is Horrible, I just recently purchased an Ibanez electric guitar from this location, When I received it it was banged up something terrible, it was not this way in the listing pictures, I zoomed in on every picture and observed what few minor blemishes it had, nothing to amount to anything but when I received it it had major scrapes, and scars all the way threw the paint, My guess is that little kids got a hold of it and played with it, When I contacted management about this they were totally unconcerned, they just said we sold it as is but the way it was when it was listed and the way it was when I received it was totally different and this damaged did not happen in shipping, the guitar was fairly well packed and there was no damage to the box, so all this damaged happened after they took pictures of it and the time it was packed for shipping, So with all this said if you are smart you will avoid buying anything from Shopgoodwill Of North Georgia
Don’t buy glass unless you can pick up.
I have been fortunate in finding various greatly discounted cashmere and leather items. Also, certain sterling silver items. However three separate times, collectible glass items I won at bid arrived in shards because they were poorly packaged, and each time they refused to sign a waiver of claims so that I could claim the true insured value of the item from the carrier. After all my work at locating these gems, I can only get a refund of the bid price and shipping. DON’T BUY GLASS from them. Clearly, there is no training or guidance where packaging is concerned.

I won two 24 inch wooden figures and paid for them right away. After 9 days they were still not shipped. I wrote to them and they told me they couldn’t find them and they issued a refund to me. I wrote back and asked them how it’s possible to lose two 24 inch tall figures. They wrote back and told me “thank you for your business” and closed my case.
