5* Bike Box (Pro Version)

Bought a Shockbox Pro (Chose this version as have internal routing in handlebars etc so no need to remove bars) via an online store. Arrived with no instructions however emailed Shockbox and within 30min a reply came through with instructions 👍🏻 Bought the box to take bike to Gran Canaria and apart from small dent in the corner of the box after flight the bike arrived and returned safely. The bike packaging makes you feel at ease that it’s well wrapped during transport. Great product and highly recommend.

Thank you for your feedback and I’m very sorry for the confusion and frustration caused.

You placed your order on 25th March and received an immediate confirmation. Unfortunately, due to a quirk in our automated system, a follow-up email was mistakenly sent implying your case had already been delivered—when it had not yet been dispatched. I completely understand how misleading and frustrating this must have been.

Your email came through on Friday and, under normal circumstances, it would have been picked up and responded to immediately. However, Shokbox is a small family business and several of us were away for personal reasons, which meant your message was unfortunately missed and would have otherwise been followed up on Monday.

We fully acknowledge that we fell short in this instance and have issued a full refund to resolve the matter quickly and fairly.

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Customer service non existent. No shipment for almost a month after purchase.

Giving two stars instead of one just because the box looked really promising. Issue begins when there is no customer suport whatsoever, on multiple contact attempts. Put in an order for a ShokBox Classic advertised as 'in stock', charged on my card and there it ends. No order status updates, no email and contact form responses for almost a month now.

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations.

Just to clarify — the Shokbox Classic you ordered was clearly marked as out of stock and available on back order, with an estimated lead time of 10 working days. An automatic order confirmation is sent immediately after purchase, which includes this information.

I understand you feel there was no communication, and I fully acknowledge that we could have done more to keep you updated. I did try to contact you personally to discuss and resolve the issue, but by that time, a chargeback had already been raised and the matter was being handled by your bank.

We’re a small family business, and while we’re proud of what we do, we also recognise that as demand grows globally, there will be times we get things wrong. This is a learning curve for us, and we’re actively working to improve how we manage communication and customer expectations going forward.

We’re sorry for the frustration this situation has caused, but we do appreciate you recognising the potential in the product itself.

Excellent Product and Outstanding…



Excellent Product and Outstanding Customer Service

I recently used the Pro Edition bike box for my Factor Ostro Vam (58cm), and it couldn’t have worked better. The bike fit perfectly in the case with only the seat post and wheels removed, making packing and setup quick and hassle-free.

I was initially concerned about whether the box would fit into my rental car at my destination, but it slid right into the back of a Seat Arona (with the rear seats folded down) without any issues. Considering the Arona isn’t the largest vehicle, this was a pleasant surprise and made my travels that much easier.

I’d also like to highlight the excellent customer service experience. I emailed Martin, hoping for a speedy dispatch since I’d ordered a bit late. He was extremely helpful, and to my surprise, the box arrived the very next day!

Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to travel with their bike. It’s a quality investment backed by fantastic customer support

Shokbox Pro

Shokbox Pro arrived just in time for Mallorca 312. It’s a great box - well thought out with no need to take aero bars off. I did remove the saddle on a 58cm frame (188cm) but not a problem. Also removed rear derailleur, but more for added security than it not fitting.
Weight was not an issue, 7.3kg bike, a few tools, helmet and shoes/pedals - 31kg.
Josh and Martin have been a pleasure to deal with. They had delays with the manufacturing process but went out of their way to help and were very communicative.
Highly recommend

Great Product/Poor Customer Service

If someone sells you a Ferrari (aka ShokBox Pro) you would expect some guidance in how to drive it (aka instructions) - is that not too much to ask? Be very careful relying on the product propositions laid out on the website. “You should only need to take off your wheels and maybe your seat stem”; reality = anything that can come off needs to come off to enable the bike and wheels to get into the box. The experience of getting the dismantled bike (Road bike - Pinarello) into the box was like a Mensa mind game (I do consider myself marginally intelligent with a high reading of spacial awareness), that I failed on the first attempt. 4 hours in I managed to get everything in (as to what comes out the other end will be a lottery) but it was not a clean closure of the box. Some of you may ask why didn’t you contact the company? I did countless times, last email count was 7x. Promised videos, photos, assistance, but alas nothing was forthcoming. Paying close to £700 for a product that comes with no guidance to help pack, dismantle, and general advice is very poor. To ignore help when requested is shoddy. Small businesses need to get this right if they are to thrive. It is all very well have a great (supposedly) product, but you need the customer service in place to sit alongside it; otherwise, you are doomed to fail and your business model is flawed.

Update 7 May 2024:
Following my post and the response from the CEO, I forwarded previous email comms to him. This was duly followed by a VM and an email. Reading back through other more recent experiences of other customers, it appears there is a set of common themes across a number of areas of ShokBox business model which require attention. I have duly fed these back to the business in a constructive manner. I offered up my observations from a position of relative authority and trust it is received that way. The quality of the product deserves a corresponding level of customer service which has been lacking. The business has now produced a base level video guide, which would very much have helped me. Please be aware that bigger frames (mine is 61cm) need everything removed to achieve a very snug fit. Seat+seat post, pedals, wheels. You then need to very carefully engineer the balance of the bike into the box. To ensure the support pins ‘connect’ when closing the box, you will need to engineer the frame in such a way that that there is gap in the frame to make this happen. I genuinely would love to see ShokBox thrive and grow - it does have the best design and structure to protect expensive bikes. Good luck!

Shockbox pro is excellent

I got a Shockbox pro. It is expensive but it’s worth it. The ease, the space and the build quality. My wife got it for me as a surprise birthday present and everyone in Shockbox worked with her which was nice. You can see it’s a family business and maybe they don’t get it right all the time. But I’ve been very impressed with the product and the way they try their best.

Delivery communication 🤔

Communication via email none existent as to the delivery more than poor.The product has now come 1 day before my trip and to be honest the quality is spot on a pity regarding the delivery 🤔updates ☹️

Despite the very very long wait to…

Despite the very very long wait to receive the Pro Box, I am initially very pleased with the quality and finish.

The only other note I would make is that there could be some help included, on how to use the box and best methods for securing the bike.

Update on Shokbox Pro delivery

After seven month of waiting I have finally canceled the order. Within this timeframe they have informed the customer 3 times in official mails. Always telling by end of the month or a few more weeks. No clear statement even if you asked several times with the note to not have an alternative ready for the booked trip. Never again! Don't trust anybody from them.

Good quality, changes to order, customer service 50/50

After ordering and paying. I received an email saying that what I ordered was out of stock. Not ideal when you are spending 400 pounds or more. I agreed to get the box in a different colour as I need it for a trip now and they made sure it was delivered quickly which I really appreciated. As an apology I saw they changed my order adding an accesory for the box, so was looking forward to that, just that this didn't arrive. Felt it was worse as it actually raised my expectatives on their service to then finding myself with a box I didn't 100% like, but needed to have now and no real apology for the change of product. Box seems great quality though, time to test it now.

Great service

Website easy to navigate for all the bits I needed. Packing instructions video priceless. After sales has been brilliant, issue with the colour I had originally ordered, resolved very quickly and upgrade for the issue. Brilliant guys, thank you. Can’t wait to get it used now.

SOLID! Buy with confidence.

Bought the Legacy box. This box oozes quality. I’ve not used it yet,( will update in 2 weeks when I do) but from the build quality to the locks and the castors , this is on a different scale to my last box.
No more finger crossing at arrivals, that I,ll open up to a box full of pipes anymore😀
There was a bit of a communication meltdown back in February , this has been resolved when THEY!,phoned me to explain,(component ,new production facility problems, not pushing boxes through at the expense of keeping quality high).
This is a trusted company buy with confidence*****

Better communication.

I placed an order a few months ago and I understand there are delays with cargo ships and all but it would be nice to get a status update on the order. I have sent 3 emails and no response. Communication and support can be better.
