Shipping Storm shut down???

UPDATE: DO NOT USE SHIPPING STORM, THEY HAVE SHUT DOWN!! I got an email from their ex-owners days after my review to say that they shut down at the end of last year, even though their website looks like they are still open. Hopeless!!!

I am worried that Shipping Storm is no longer open. I used the address my Shipping Storm account tells me to use, 10260 SW Nimbus Ave, Suite M3- 5943, Portland, OR 97223 US, and UPS have just advised me that the business was closed when their courier arrived. They attempted to deliver at 11am on the 25/05/2022. I attempted to use the FAQ and Contact Us links on the Shipping Storm website and they don't work either. UPS will attempt to deliver again on the 26/05/2022. Will someone be there? I will happily change this review to a five if this was a UPS mistake and Shipping Storm is still providing a great shipping service. Please respond asap, I don't want my package returned to the vendor!

Fantastic

Fantastic customer service and their communication is clear and concise. I've had 3 seperate parcels delivered to Australia without an issue. Recently received an email informing that the company will cease trading which is a real shame. The timing of the email was excellent, allowing me ample time to organise freight for the remaining parcels at their warehouse. I will miss shipping storm

This is the best re-shipping company by far.I have shipped many parcels with shippingstorm.com and all have arrived intact.Their prices are not just cheaper but way way cheaper.For example what I pay $28.00 for is close to $80.00 with reship.com .myus.com could not figure out that cigarettes and cigars are different and that cigars are able to be shipped by usps.hmhship.com doesnt ship anymore and never bothered to tell the customers.With shippingstorm.com I have never had one single issue.They are cheaper by far,more efficient and you deal with the owners of the company instead of someone that doesnt really care whether your issue is fixed or not. Even the cigar companies that will ship internationally (and there arent many)are heaps dearer with their shipping prices such as $45 against $28.00.Shippingstorm.com open up millions of products for you and do it well ,efficiently and cheaply.I would give 25 stars if I could.

Отказываются отправлять посылку, обманывают с весом, не советую работать с данной компанией. Поддержка вообще не хочет работать с клиентом. С магазином они связаться не хотели, чтобы решить эту ситуацию. Думая, что я мошенник.

1. "They refuse to send the parcel."

TRUE: We refused to ship the parcel. Let me explain why.

Unfortunately, more often than we would like, we deal with Identity theft. Crooks all over the world shop in US stores and pay with stolen credit cards. And they use Shipping Storm (and similar companies) to send them the goods to Russia or wherever they live.

Then they pay us with a stolen credit card, so when the real owner of the credit card finds out, we get a chargeback from his credit card company. They simply take the money back. We suffer the loss of the money when we ultimately pay for those shipments from our pocket. And not only that. We get penalized from the bank/merchant account provider, and when we have too many chargebacks, they cancel out the merchant account, and we are no longer able to accept credit cards. We have to find another bank/merchant account provider, which costs us a lot of money and time.

So over time, we have developed a system of "red flags," and we actively identify thieves before falling victims.

This package had such "red flags." This person, whatever his real name is, used THREE different names. He was not able or willing to explain why. He refused to prove the identity of any of those names. He was first time shipper; he never shipped with us before. But he purchased a relatively expensive item ($800).

We wrote to him that we believe he is a fraud, and until he proves his identity, we will not ship it. Instead, we will return the item to the seller.

2. "Cheat with weight" and "They are weighted to add weight to the package and charge more for shipping."

NOT TRUE. What is he talking about? We have not even shipped to him, so how could he know we cheat with weight and charge more?

3. "Support doesn't want to work with the client at all."

NOT TRUE. We spent a considerable amount of time with him, trying to resolve this matter, and ultimately, ship if possible. We sent him 16 (SIXTEEN) messages, answering his questions, explaining the problem, asking for some kind of proof, and trying to make him co-operate. Our business is shipping. We make money when we ship. We just do not want to be the victim of a crime, nor participating in any crime. And we hate thieves.

4. "They did not want to contact the store in order to resolve this situation."

NOT TRUE: Just the opposite. He refused any co-operation. He did not provide any information about the purchase or the payment to the store. He did not provide a return shipping label to help us to ship it back. He refused to provide information about the purchase so we could ask the seller for the return label.

Here I will share some parts of our conversation. He has broken English, which is sometimes hard to understand. His text often does not make sense. So, for the sake of authenticity, we will just copy his words exactly how he wrote them, without any changes to make sense of it or correcting mistakes.

He tried to bribe us into shipping the parcel by offering good reviews if we ship. He wrote: "The store's warehouse itself is located in Texas. And I do not think that I will disclose such personal information to you. I hope we can resolve this situation. What proof do you need besides my friend's ID. I explained to you that my friend on the store's website left his data for delivery and the first and last name cannot be changed, so I indicated his data on your website. I will leave you a good review on all sites where possible."

When it didn't work, he threatened us to leave bad reviews if we won't ship. We replied, "And we are also not trading good reviews from thieves for participating in a crime, as you offered."

He also wrote: "i'm sorry, you misunderstood me, but I gave you the wrong name in delivery because I didn't want to use mine, but I assure you, this order wasn't paid for from someone else's card. It's just a safeguarded monitor".

And later, he also wrote: "Good evening, I'm sorry I lied to you, but I used someone else's name because there were problems to deliver, my Russian name just wasn't right, and that's why I used another. I put my monitor in repair, so I made up all this whole thing with a friend because I thought you wouldn't send me a monitor. I'm really sorry I lied to you."

We believe the only thing he is sorry for is that his fraud did not work out this time. None of those statements make sense, neither is true. And even though he admitted he lied and used fake identity, he still hasn't provided any proof of his real identity.

5. "Remove bad reviews !!!

We have no idea what he means here.

6. "I do not advise working with this company."

We agree to a certain point. We do not advise you to work with us if you are a fraudster, thief, scammer, or crook. Please, take his advice and do not work with us at all. We are a small family business, and each time you steal from us really hurts. There are plenty of bigger competitors who may bear such losses much lighter. Plus, we really hate thieves. We will do all we can to prevent you from stealing. And we may be successful, like in this case. Then we both just waste time.

But if you are a decent person and pay for your purchases with your credit card, you have nothing to worry about. Then maybe reviews from other ordinary people like you may be more useful to you.

Great service during stressful times

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the shipment was significantly delayed. I was afraid it might get lost or stolen or something. However, the service I received was excellent, and the communication was great. It really helped me with the stress I was having lately. I will happily use this company again.

Always helpful

Always helpful. Ordered an item, which was impossible to ship to Russia. SS has sent it back and I received my money back. For other parcels use it every month.

Shippingstorm stolen my items valued at…

Shippingstorm stolen my items valued at $348.45.

I paid Shippingstorm $336 for repacking my orders within the US and forwarding the combined parcel to Australia.
When I receive my parcel, 6 items are missing at total value of $348.45.

I wish there is a "0" or negative number star rating option.

Thanks Google review to email me let me know this person named Mirek Fejfar, who claimed as the co-founder of Shipping Storm published this long article to provide full of false information.

I would like to ask this co-founder a few questions please:
(1) Before you suddenly appeared right now in January 2020, we - the PayPal and Better Business Bureau only knew that Barbara Vybiralova is the owner of Shippingstorm, we never knew you. Is that correct?
(2) Where were you, during my two months (from 25 September, 2019 I felt Barbara stole my items) arguing with Barbara because she held some of my items but the shipping label, export document shown all items were delivered to my address in Australia?
(3) Where were you, when I did NOT receive my all items, so that I complained to PayPal on 1st October, 2019. But Barbara repeatedly report to PayPal "all the items were delivered" with the tracking number that the shipping label and export document did not match my items in the parcel?
(4) Where were you, when PayPal ridiculously denied my complaint because they only rely on tracking number to make decisions, so I had to complaint to the Better Business Bureau on October 17, 2019?
(5) Where were you, when Barbara initially tried to use the $15 and MSDS Safety Data Sheet as an excuses but after I provided a large amount of evidences; and spent more than one month to prove that both the MSDS Safety Data Sheet and $15 were merely excuses? But for value of $348.45 items missing, I had to agree to pay an extra $15 postage to let Barbara finally ship the items to my friends home on December 8, because my friends knew all these stories and how hard to get the stolen items back, so they offered to help me with ensuring there won't be anymore missing items,
(6) Why this person named Mirek Fejfar who claimed as a co-founder kept silent at all times in the past, but after I tried so hard for 2 months to receive my stolen items under BBB's great help; then this co-founder waited for another month to publish these false information?

I am Mirek Fejfar, the co-founder of Shipping Storm.

After we received all 17 packages from Hilda Zhang and put them in the system, she asked us for repacking/consolidation. Unfortunately, there were some items prohibited by USPS rules to ship overseas without MSDS Safety Data Sheet (Cosmetics). See article below.

On September 19, 2019, we contacted Hilda, informed her about the fact we cannot ship certain items without the MSDS Safety Data Sheet and offered a solution. She agreed to remove those prohibited items from the shipment to Australia and ship them in the separate package to the address within the USA she provided.

On September 24, we shipped her shipment with all “safe” goods to Australia, as agreed. And, according to our policies and price-list, we asked her to cover $15.00 expenses for that extra shipment within the USA, so we could proceed with this shipment as well.

Hilda Zhang did not make the payment, instead, without any reason, on September 30, she filed a fraudulent claim with PayPal, with the false allegation that Shipping Storm did not ship her all the merchandise, asking PayPal for a refund for the whole amount she paid for our services.

PayPal opened an investigation into this case. We provided them ALL communication with Hilda and all other evidence including tracking of the shipment, and print-screens from our system. The materials clearly showed that Shipping Storm did everything according to the rules and mutual agreement, proved that Hilda's claims are completely false, and on October 18, PayPal closed the cases in our favor.

Here I would like to strongly emphasize, that on September 30, WHEN HILDA CLAIMED SOME OF HER ITEMS WERE STOLEN, THE PACKAGE WAS STILL IN TRANSIT TO AUSTRALIA! THE PACKAGE WASN'T DELIVERED UNTIL OCTOBER 3! See the print-screen below.

On October 17, Hilda filed similar fraudulent complaints with Better Business Bureau. They opened the investigation, and just like PayPal, closed the case in our favor.

At the same time, Hilda wrote negative reviews on Trustpilot and Google.

As soon as Hilda finally paid $15 for shipping within the USA on November 27, the shipment with the items prohibited for the international shipment was shipped to the U.S. address Hilda provided.
