I paid for Shaadi.com’s premium matchmaking service with the expectation that a paid, premium service would provide genuine, relevant and reasonably well-curated matrimonial connections, along with professional customer support.

Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.

Despite clearly communicating our requirements, the profiles being presented were often irrelevant, inactive or did not meaningfully match the criteria provided. Several profiles that appeared promising either did not respond at all, disappeared/ghosted after initial interaction, or otherwise did not result in any genuine conversation.

What was particularly frustrating was that I was paying specifically for a premium matchmaking service, where I expected considerably more personal attention and meaningful follow-up. Instead, the service often felt like simply being given access to the same pool of profiles available on the regular platform.

The customer service experience was equally disappointing. When concerns were raised, the responses felt dismissive and at times unnecessarily arrogant, rather than focused on understanding the problem and finding a solution. Changing relationship managers did not meaningfully improve the experience.

I also became increasingly concerned about the authenticity and activity level of some profiles. I cannot independently establish that every non-responsive profile was fake, but after repeatedly encountering profiles that did not respond or appeared inactive, I was left with very little confidence in the quality and authenticity of the pool being presented to us.

I am writing this review with deep regret and complete disappointment after what has been an extremely frustrating experience with the so-called VIP Shaadi Package. Based on my experience, the way this service is marketed and sold can leave customers feeling misled, pressured and ultimately cheated.

I paid $1600 in total — $300 initially and another $1300 later along with a considerable amount of my valuable time. During the first week itself I realized this is all a scam. They make false promises and rob people of money. Please do NOT sign up with this brand even with a basic free registration and do NOT give your hard earned money to these scammers.

The representative assigned to me, **Benson**, repeatedly insisted that I upgrade the package to get access to better profiles and customized service. Trusting those assurances, I paid the additional $1300. However, they shared false information just to rob me of my money. I got fooled by these people. This matrimonial site does not have genuine profiles. All are a scam and my request to all is to please stay away from these people.

My request for the refund of the huge fee that I have paid has been refused despite my several complaints and requests.

This entire experience has left me with a strong feeling that the VIP package is designed to scam elite customers with promises of superior service, extract additional payments through upgrades, and then leave them struggling to obtain what was promised.

I strongly urge all customers to exercise extreme caution and do not get caught to upgrading to any so called VIP package

If I could give 0 stars I would have. Absolutely awful, disappointing, money grabbing dating site! You see the same faces every single day! None of my preferences have been met. I tried to get my money back and they said to change my preferences??!! Why?? This is what I am looking for so that is what I want but they make so many excuses like I have to connect with 10 different people and they have to respond to me like what the hell is that about?? It’s a total waste of time and money. So many fake profiles probably made up by Shaadi.com staff!! Absolutely rubbish experience. Don’t waste your money people because they are not interested in giving your money back. I will report them to the papers and social media too.

Terrible customer service and very poor VIP Shaadi experience.

I have been using the VIP Shaadi service for several months, and my experience has been extremely disappointing.

The consultants do not arrange any calls, do not follow up, and are even unresponsive to me on the VIP Shaadi app as well as WhatsApp. Even after 2 consultants were changed, the experience has not improved.

VIP Shaadi is a complete waste of (lot of) money. I strongly discourage others from using VIP Shaadi.

Paid for a year's membership, full of scam profiles. Initiating contact and then deleting profile or hiding it. I believe these profile are not genuine but specifically made to lure people to buy paid membership. Maybe 1 in 100 is a genuine profile. BUYERS BEWARE

I paid $500 in total — $300 initially and another $200 later along with a considerable amount of my valuable time. During the first week, profiles were shared, but thereafter the service fell dramatically short of what was promised. The very purpose for which I paid for a VIP/customized service was simply not delivered.

The representative assigned to me, **Rajat Ghosh**, repeatedly insisted that I upgrade the package to get access to better profiles and customized service. Trusting those assurances, I paid the additional $200. However, the promised upgraded service was never properly renewed or delivered. Later, after detailed conversations and messages, Rajat himself committed to refunding the additional $200.

But when it came to actually honouring that commitment, the position suddenly changed. I was eventually told that the $200 could not be refunded at this stage.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with VIP Shaadi. My biggest issue is the difference between what was communicated during the sales call and what I experienced after purchasing the membership.

Before I paid, I was given the impression that the VIP team had more insight into profiles, preferences, and how the matching process/algorithm works behind the scenes. The conversation made it sound like they would be able to provide more personalized and useful matches based on my specific requirements. This was one of the main reasons I agreed to pay for the VIP membership.

However, after purchasing the service, I was told that they actually cannot see much more “behind the scenes” than what is available on the platform. That was extremely frustrating because this limitation should have been clearly explained BEFORE taking my payment, not afterward.

It honestly felt like the main priority during the initial call was selling the VIP membership. A lot can be promised verbally when someone is trying to convince you to purchase an expensive service, but once you have paid, the reality can be very different.

If the VIP team cannot access certain information, cannot control the algorithm, or cannot guarantee that the platform has matches meeting a customer’s specific criteria, they need to be transparent about that from the beginning. Customers should be given realistic expectations before paying hundreds of dollars.

Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering VIP Shaadi ask very detailed questions and get important promises or service expectations IN WRITING before paying. Do not rely only on what is said during the sales call.

I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this matrimonial website. In my experience, it feels like a complete scam designed to take your hard-earned money while hiding behind terms and conditions.

Their customer service is nothing more than a puppet show. Every representative simply repeats the same scripted responses without addressing your concerns or trying to resolve the issue. They show no understanding or willingness to help.

I feel completely misled by the way the membership and cancellation process is handled. Instead of focusing on helping customers find a life partner, it seems more focused on locking people into paid subscriptions.

I deeply regret signing up and would never recommend this platform to anyone. There are far better and more transparent matrimonial services available. Save your money and avoid the frustration.

VIP shaadi is a scam... Before taking subscription they use to cal again n again but after paying them they don't provide proper service. Cunsultant did not co-operate properly . They provide useless profile which don't match my preferences n when I complain they use to pressurise me to select from the profiles given by them.They says that the profiles according to my preferences may not be available so if they don't have profile then why they took money. Really worst service. I asked them to refund my money if they are not able to give me service but they dint do that also.... I have been cheated by them ....

Horrible platform for finding a mate i used filters to find a mate. Didn’t want anyone from India but someone from the states but filters wouldn’t work. So i upgraded to Premium and wasted my money. Its still the same. Don’t waste your money over this app

Shaadi VIP service is a absolute scam. Their grievance support is also a scam. I reached out to them and they transferred my request back to customer service.
This company needs to shut down as they are making false promises to customers.
I advice would be please don't be a victim of this service.

As a VIP member, I expected a premium experience and a genuine chance of finding suitable matches. Instead, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing services I've ever paid for.
Despite paying a substantial amount for a VIP membership, I saw little to no value in return. The promised benefits did not translate into meaningful matches, conversations, or results. Most interactions went nowhere, and the premium features felt like little more than marketing.

If you're thinking about paying for a VIP membership, my advice is simple: save your money. Honestly, I would give zero stars if I could. This is an ABSOLUTE scam. We bought the ELITE package from them. It has been over 2 months and our account has not even been activated. They claimed there were "technological issues" preventing the account from being activated, yet we still do not have an active account, haven't been sent a profile, and have been left completely in the dark. To make things worse, they have now stopped responding to our messages.
I would strongly advise you to not waste your money and avoid this company altogether.
