Absolutely avoid any business with them. They went into administration in April 2025 and withheld this iinfo until further investigation by one of the guardians. Moved everyone out by October after months of non communication and not paying the bills...while doing no maintenance whatsoever in my 6 months at the given property. Asked for deposit back and only received confirmation with nothing received. Will go through their other company Sentry VPM who are still active and the primary recipients of guardian payments. Please avoid at all costs

This is the worst most corrupt company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Sentry guardians as a company no longer exists. Having filed for liquidation earlier this year. They then continued to collect our rent for 5 months totalling over £3000 going towards what we believed to be a company going through the process of insolvency. However, wrong. ‘Sentry guardians’ has another company ‘Sentry VPM’ which im sure wont be lasting much longer given their constant malpractice within the industry. This is the company which is still holding my deposit having moved out of the house a month ago (causing me to be homeless and unable to find anywhere to live) and refuses to communicate about receiving it back. Emails, unanswered. They deliberately don’t answer the phone if you select the ‘I’m a guardian’ section however miraculously are available for the ‘I have a vacant property’ section. How convenient. I want my deposit back. And I welcome communication from you.

There is no hope for the guardians now, however if you are in the market for getting your property guarded. Do not choose Sentry Guardians/VPM. They are cowboys and have the moral guidelines of the devil

Avoid - The property I was given was infested with cockroaches and pigeons and after months of complaining nothing was done so had to leave.
Haven't received deposit and I've heard others have been waiting a year for deposits returned with nothing but emails saying it will come.
Terrible company do yourself a favour and look elsewhere

Rented from this company had issues with pest control and trash management no support given. After leaving the room and following checkout procedures to the required approach as per the license agreement and email exchange, I have yet to receive my deposit back. I received confirmation I will be sent my deposit back but after a month of back and forth via emails and no phone replies I am still due my deposit. Very disappointed and dodgy.

Sentry assured me in January that i'd get my full deposit back by mid Feb, but have been withholding it for 4 months without reason. I am taking this to small claims court. I hope it's simply down to the obvious lack of organisation and professionalism that I experienced during my time living in their broken property.

How can you treat people like this?

To sum up this company briefly - Sentry Guardians are targeting hard working people that are already struggling with the cost of living in London. Offering "affordable alternatives" and charging people without providing the basic standards of living (hot water, heating, waste disposal). Sentry are providing unsafe and barely habitable environments. Disgraceful...

This company is a scam they don’t pay their employees!!!

This business a scam. I know dozens of people who have not received their deposits back despite multiple promises, going against this company's own contract. Don't trust anything they say, Sentry Guardians will steal from you.
