Somehow got my credit card details and started charging for nothing
My own personal opinion ... if I could I'd give a negative number of stars. I suddenly noticed an unknown charge on my credit card and looked into it. Two payments had been charged, £41.92 each. I raised a dispute with my credit card company. I also searched for this company as I'd never heard of them before and wondered how they'd gotten my details, especially my credit card number! It seems they sell a VPN (which I don't need) and for this you have to enter their site with a password they give you (to open an account?) then download and install the VPN. I vaguely remembered seeing an email from secure-linkup in my email basket a few weeks before. I didn't open this email as I thought it was junk/spam so I simply moved it to my junk folder and blocked its email domain and thought nothing more of it until I saw the charges, about 2 weeks apart, on my credit card. I immediately emailed them and have done 4 times since. They first said they cancelled my subscription. I replied asking where was my refund. They replied saying they'd had a charge dispute from my credit card provider and I should contact them. They also so sai the only way they could have gotten my credit card details was because I'd signed up on their website and manually typed them in!!!!! I asked them for proof of me signing up, downloading and installing their software. They replied with a copy of an email from them to me (possibly the one I moved to junk) but it wasn't any confirmation of me subscribing or signing up or anything at all and it didn't clarify whether this was an email they issued BEFORE or AFTER me signing up as there was no date on it. I don't need a VPN or any other service from themas I already have a paid for VPN from a company I've been using for years. I'm also an IT tech so I recognise spam and phishing when I see it and there is absolutely NO WAY I have opened a suspicious email from a tech company I have never heard of, gone to the website, signed up, input my credit card details, downloaded and installed their software which I don't need. I have been emailing them since asking for my money back and for confirmation that they have deleted all my personal data AND my credit card details. They have simply ignored my last two emails so clearly are unprofessional and don't have any conscience about fraudulently debiting my credit card. They could obviously verifiy that I never accessed any online account or downloaded and installed their software. To me, they are just chancers and scammers and if they were legit, they'd have fully answered my emails and returned my money. Thankfully my credit card company has now blocked them from debiting my card. Also, they give the appearance of having an American base and email address, but they're actually in the Netherlands which explains they're not quite correct English. DO NOT TRUST. Avoid completely.
