The worst coin broker that I have ever…
The worst coin broker that I have ever come across and that includes Holland Belgium and Luxembourg! I went to the Edinburgh shop today and was treated horrendously! I came with 6 coins 4 pure 22 carat gold and 1 of those is a misprint with King Charles facing the right I have the certificate of there’s only 399 in the total mintage and 2 pure Platinum sovereigns so I was led into a locked room with a security guard who informed me that your company doesn’t deal in coins!!! I grew up in a Glasgow housing scheme but I went to university and bought a flat right in the centre of Edinburgh so I’ve made smart investments since I was a teenager I’m now 51 and I have quite a collection of coins but I would never entertain your company as I feel that you are judgemental and Bigoted ! So everyone please pay attention unless you have had elocution lessons and get dressed up to give this business your business then you’ll be doing yourself RIGHT as this company will do you WRONG thank you for reading !

Dear Stewart,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience at our Edinburgh branch. We take all customer feedback seriously and are disappointed to hear that you felt you were treated discourteously.
We would like to clarify that our procedures, including the use of security measures and controlled areas, are in place to protect both our customers and our staff and are not based on a customer’s appearance, background, accent or circumstances. The person who assessed your coins was not a security guard, but Craig, one of our bullion brokers.
We’re sorry if the way our services were explained left you with the impression that your coins were not being taken seriously. We appreciate that your collection is important to you, and we regret that we were unable to provide the experience you expected on this occasion.
If you would like to discuss your visit further, please do not hesitate to contact me on 0141 343 1306, I would be happy to help.
Kind Regards,
Joanna MacDonald

An innocent abroad
An accidental newcomer to the area of numismatics, I recently found myself with ten gold sovereigns and five half-sovereigns to sell. As a novice, I admit to feeling quite vulnerable to being ripped off by an unscrupulous dealer. After a Google search I selected four reputable London dealers and visited each in person to have the coins valued. [For the record, A H Baldwin on The Strand were my preferred London dealer.] However, some further Googling led me to Scottish Bullion and their excellent reviews. Since I was visiting Edinburgh later in the week, I decided to investigate them further and gave Craig a call. I had a hunch that I might get a better deal outside of London and, if I'm being honest, probably place more trust in the Scots in general. My trust proved well-founded. Not only did Scottish Bullion offer me the best price, but Craig explained the process clearly and handled the process transparently, professionally and efficiently. My payment arrived well within the promised 5-7 business days. I'm glad I ended up going with Scottish Bullion and would definitely recommend them.

Amazing service and professional…
Amazing service and professional information on some coins I wished to sell. The process was quick and money was in my account within 3 days ( service levels 5 days) I would recommend to anyone wishing to sell any gold coins. The price offered was also well above scrap gold price too. 10 out of 10 from me.
