I trade stocks and options. Recently my availability during Market hours has been reduced and day trading requires absolute attention to open trades. I started looking for subscriptions that provided their trade recommendations at specific times and I subscribed to a few.
Last weekend I registered for a webinar with Schaeffer’s Investment Research. After the webinar was over, I called the support line to sign up for a trial subscription that would give me full access to everything for one monthly cycle including 5 trades which would be delivered Sunday afternoon.
When the call was over there were emails waiting for me to 1) log me into their dashboard, 2) invoice for the trial subscription, 3) a welcome and introduction from the support person who was assigned to my account along with his phone extension and personal email.
I spent the next couple hours preparing for the trades due on the following afternoon.
This subscription is superior to many others that I have reviewed and currently own, in my opinion. First, trades are sent out at a specific time on a specific day. In this case on Sunday. Second, this subscription doesn’t rely solely on videos for education or alerts. Printable content is available. Third, customer support seems to have a higher priority by providing you with an account manager.

I’m inclined to leave a note to commend John V. and Cody F. for a job well done, and to express my thanks for their help during my first week of trading Schaeffer's recommendations.

I purchased a trial subscription to one of the various subscription services offered by “Schaeffer’s Investment Services,” but being a newbie to the more advanced option trading techniques, I needed assistance with understanding the trades and how to place them on my broker’s website. John held my hand (figuratively) through my first day of trading, navigating me though the unknowns and making sure I placed the trades correctly. He also proved invaluable in helping me understand how the trades worked and what I should expect as the trades matured. Cody, as my assigned account manager, then tag-teamed with John, taking over as my advisor and explaining in greater detail the various programs at Schaeffer, and which ones might best suit my trading style. We discussed how aggressive I wanted to be, and the trading techniques and services most suitable to my disposition and goals. Both Cody and John served their company well by explaining and recommending other Schaeffer services and program offerings. Of note, they were accepting of my personal preference to start slowly with the “trial” services. This eased the transition by maintaining the solidarity and profitable positions in my existing investment account

Kudos to John and Cody for their help, as well as for their understanding of my individual needs!

(By the way, my option positions were up some 50% by the end of my first trading week using Schaeffer’s recommendations!)

Not sure about the other folks working for Schaeffer but I've been working with Alex Jackson for more than 3 years and the experience so far has been very good. Over the years, Alex let me try different programs at no cost for a month; some worked some didn't but Alex understands what my long term goals are and has been able to work with me to find what I need at the most affordable price. Thank you Alex.

I Signed up for two programs based on their sales persons recommendations and was told that I woudl be receiving a lifetime subscription for the cost of a 1 year service. After I signed up I learned of the actual program costs and found I was over charged by $7000 on the two programs, The company representatives keep stating they will work on a resolution but nothing has been done in the 3 weeks since I brought this to their attention. Very deceptive and dishonest pricing and selling techniques. They are overcharging customer by thousand of dollars.

I misunderstood what I was signing up for and received a call from their agent and I told him I am quite knowledgeable on trading options. He said I signed up for a beginner course which won't do anything for me. He said he would give me a refund but I never got it. I then received a call from Ben Dolan who stepped up to the plate and said he would issue refunds on both the services I had subscribed to. I like dealing with reputable companies who are not out there just for a money grab and want their customers to have real value in what they subscribed to.

I initially signed up for the weekend recommendations and had a losing record (37-53). I tried to end the contract and get a refund, instead it was recommended that I try another service, and if not satisfied, I could get a full refund if I requested it by a certain date.
I continued to have losing trades (6-11) and have been calling every day to cancel, but get no response.

By far the worst trading recommendations I have ever seen put out. While so many other trading discords are making money, these guys consistently send out losing trades, over and over again, yet will keep calling you trying to sell you other programs they offer. This could be a way to make money if you do the OPPOSITE of what they recommend. They are horrible.

Don’t buy terrible purchase wish I never bought

Failure to deliver the product products promised. 95% to 99% of the trades they recommend are losing trades. If you purchase make sure you request your refund on the actual date the subscription begins. If you are outside of their 14 day window they will deny your refund.

Received many emails about overnight trader and it's 100% returns, and what
a good deal it was . Next morning receive
phone call about other programs they have, and how they would produce better
results for me than overnight trader program . Now they say overnight trader
program would produce more losses than wins . These other programs costing
thousands of dollars would be better for
me . I told them I wanted my money back
for misrepresenting program, but they refused . I urge anybody considering
purchasing programs from them to think
twice before dealing with such a company, that will say anything to get
your money .

I've been using Schaeffer's various programs for years, trying to find one that is profitable. So far I've found NONE. The most common e-mail on existing trades is "...recommend exiting trade to preserve capital."
Each time I discuss this with the Sales Dept. I get the response that the service I have is too basic and I need to upgrade to their more premium service. The other problem is once you sign up be careful to read the fine print. Many services require 90 days before you can cancel and then you only get 75% refund. I feel that Schaeffer's services are a scam for drawing in subscribers with no real trading upside.

I signed up for a $30 1 month trial of one service. I called customer service with a question and was told that service was not going to meet my needs and was stupidly upsold a $4000 service. The bizarre refund terms force you to keep the service for 90 days after which you will $3000 back.

In the two months I have had this service they provided 25 closed trades with only 8 of them being winners. Only four of those were over 100% - none over 200%.
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

I didn't partake of all trades because some just seemed stupid - like buying a short term call towards the end of the day when a stock had a massive run up. I also have not sold some trades when they recommended selling on big market downturn day and was able to save some of my investment.

The services are definitely not worth the money. It is deceptive when they advertise the big winners and don't show the number of losers you have to incur to get those.

I knew I was scammed when I was bombarded with solicitations from third party vendors selling investment advice. The emails look like they are coming from Schaffer until you read the fine print.

I asked for a refund and they refused so I'm stuck with it for another month until I can get $3000 back.

I have asked for some history of trades on 2 programs i am receiving. I have been denied from customer service and then referred to sales dept. Today i was first told by sales every quarter could request information than when i told him in a few weeks the quarter will be up, the sales dept hung up on me. He also said this is too much work. This is the 3rd or 4th time he has hung up on me. So far the trades have been poor . If you join be extremely careful. Also expect numerous deals via email every week. I asked customer service about stopping them , no response . So they are all going in trash automatically .

Buyer Beware! The best thing you can do is to NEVER engage this company. As a customer of a few of its overrated (and money losing trading services), save your money (and your frustration). You will be lucky to get a few profitable trades, but they will never match the outsized returns (of several hundred percent) that its "research" will predict. Schaeffer Investment Research believes its services are "highly proprietary" but that's hyperbolic at best because anyone can recommend unprofitable trades, which is the best that you can expect.

The latest service that was purchased from Schaeffer's Investment Research came with a 90 day money back guarantee (and that's on the recorded phone call). However now Schaeffer's wants to change that to mean that you have to use the service for a full 90 days before you can cancel and I NEVER agreed to that. It wants to add additional terms and conditions AFTER it charges you for its service. Fortunately, the phone recording will be all the proof I need. If Schaeffer's was customer service oriented (it isn't), it wouldn't be attempting to worm its way out of this refund. Other dissatisfied customers on TrustPilot substantiate my claim. I regret ever getting involved with this operation. There's nothing "proprietary" about providing losing trades, in spite of what it claims. If Schaeffer's research was so great, there wouldn't be so many complaints and dissatisfied customers, that's just common sense and the truth.

Dishonest and disrespectful of new signups. They will SPAM you unmercifully and share your information with MANY different sources without you having subscribed, and you can't easily stop it. This is a clear indication these people don't care about anything but money and are no friend of the trading community. Just look at the other reviews at the failed data they provide and overcharge by $1000s without resolution, it's a joke. Run away from these people as fast as you can.

In response to the company's reply: I continued to be harassed and SPAMMED unmercififully by at least 5 different companies you shared my information with that I was unaware even existed, both when I subscribed with you and after I unsubscribed. Even unsubscribing from each one didn't fully stop them for over 2 weeks. They were what most people would call SCAMS, which is why I was pushed to do more research on you and leave my review to warn others. We need people that don't prey on new investors for personal benefit to the point of being disrespectful of their privacy, but who are actually willing to help them. I didn't get that from my brief experience with you. It's more like a used car lot with pressured sales and lots of turnover.

The primary reason I am giving this a bad review is because these Sales people are relentless.They just want more of your money and could care less about you.I have loss lots of money and recently hired a financial advisor that I am satisfied with good but not outstanding returns and paid a lot less for their services! As we all know the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results!

I could not trade options and they will not refund my money. It was $1500. No one will answer my phone calls or return my messages.

I have now been with them for 2 cycle recommendations of 6 option ea. All but one has been a loser. Nice to take peoples money and give them additional pain by losing them more money, and you don't even use a gun.
