There was a delivery issue but got sorted out professionally
I had a problem with my last order that was supposed to be delivered on Saturday but never showed up, but they sorted this out promptly on the first working day after, they promised to send a replacement of the order and also they refunded the delivery fees and offered a £10 voucher for next orders, the customer service was exceptional!
But as an advice avoid choosing Saturdays for deliveries to not get in a similar situation again!
Thank you Saffron Alley for sorting this out for me in an excellent way and for the goodwill gesture that had been offered, keep up the good work!

I recently purchased minced beef from this shop and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The meat was very chewy and had a noticeably strong taste and smell that did not seem fresh. It also appeared to be mixed with a significant amount of cartilage, which made it difficult to chew. Additionally, there was an excessive amount of blood present in the packaging.
I hope the shop reviews its quality control processes to ensure better freshness and preparation standards in the future.

I placed an order like I do every week…
I placed an order like I do every week but this week for some reason I got the wrong items. I had ordered lamb burgers but got lamb and chicken sausages instead. I emailed with my pictures of the order and the order receipt that comes with it. Christopher David was the representative that reached out to me and was super quick in dealing with the situation and resolving it. Ended up giving me gift card money to spend with my next order. Service was prompt understanding and extremely helpful. Very happy with the outcome and will continue to order from Saffron Alley.

Good Quality and Convenient
The meat is delivered quickly and is always high quality. Getting halal meat has become so much easier for me, especially since I live in a small town with no halal options. My only slight issue is I wish they put more ice packs in cause my delivery person leaves it at the door. I think I will be getting meat from Saffron for the foreseeable future now

Good business to buy from, been buying for a while now, even though organic may be expensive, it’s worthy if health is important to you, to balance it out I prefer buy beef or lamp organic instead of chicken, as the ones that are grain fed can cause inflammation of consumed in abundance

I placed my first order with saffron Ali yesterday the options and the ordering process were all very good. This morning I decided that I would like to make a change to the order and emailed accordingly. I received a very prompt reply from Christopher David and their customer services. Who facilitated my request politely and with no fuss, the changes were made and a small refund applied with no problems at all. UPDATE: since leaving this review i had a helpful conversation with one of the team. He listened to my concerns, and offered solutions to my feedback regarding packaging. Thank you.
Time will tell if the quality of the chicken is as I came to expect from my initial order.

Ive mainly ordered chicken from Saffron Alley about 3 times. The first time I was please, the meat was clean, didn't smell and seemed good quality. Delivery was in the morning. The meat was cold but not -2c as claimed on the website.
However, the most recent time my order was quite large, over 8kg. The meat came in a cardboard box that looked like it had been thrown around. There were only 2 ice gel packs that were completely defrosted so sadly some of the meat had to be thrown out. It was grey and smelt bad! Which makes me think the meat isn't as fresh as they claim?
The rest of the chicken was okay, but sadly a little smelly.
Customer service isn't great, as there is no email address that ic lould find to give my feedback. There was a number, but I'm not sure the person on the other end of line fully understood what I said.
Overall, I've not been overly impressed. The claims on the website sound reassuring. Other that my order at the beginning of November '25, I've not been too happy with what we've recieved. Its sad that standards have dropped..
