Ordered (1x) 30 x 21 Professional Line Photo Book, Spreads: HighEnd print matte: 30 pages, Quick delivery so that's great. Book it's self not great, Starting with the brushed metal picture, looks awful, does not pop picture at all. Went for the High End print Matt and pictures look dead and flat. Had better books for less than £20.

So after getting a reply from Saal and emailing back and forth and I advised that I am no longer have book as present for a visitor to UK they have not ask me to produce pictures of the book 8 days later, yep, sounds like they don't want to deal and easy get out for them.

So got voucher from them saying for full book but did not return P&P

My first photobook from Saal... The turnround and delivery time was exceptional - ordered Tuesday afternoon, delivered Thursday morning. The physical material (glossy paper, cover) is very solid and satisfyingly thick, giving an almoat 'pop-up' book feel - very tactile. Photos are vibrant but just a little 'yellower' than on my screen. I'll do a better job of positioning my photos next time as I get more used to the online design operation, but the ease of upload and flexibility was excellent too. Chris M, aging technophobe

The interface was both very flexible and simple to use. The book arrived very promptly (much appreciated as I'd cut it a bit fine!) and was great quality with thick pages and very glossy prints.

Easy to use - great quality

I sent a small photobook project to them as a test of their service. It said it would arrive on the 19th Feb. It's now the 24th. Still no book. Still says "it's being sent to the fulfillment centre". I've lodged a complaint. Tried chat. Nothing. No response. Took my money and then it's a black hole.

This was a great process. There are a lot of options to choose from in terms of sizing and the number of pages. The online upload process is simple however it did not order pictures that I had saved from other devices in chronological order which was slightly annoying.

The delivery was quick and the product is high quality. I would recommend and I am likely to use for future albums.

We got a great album from Saal. The software was good enough to use, it provided many different layouts and it was mostly smooth, a few features could be improved but were happy overall. The quality of the album we received was very good, both the cover, the pages and the photos and overall it looked great. Only negative was the very high price of the album gift box, it cost 2/3 of the whole album, which is a bit ridiculous. Would put 5 stars if it weren't for that.

Software is extremely easy to install and use. Very intuitive. Customer support always responded, and responded helpfully, within 24h to the various questions I had. The final photobook was delivered quickly and exceeded my expectations in terms of print quality and overall look and feel.
The one thing I was concerned about was whether my file would exceed the maximum allowed for printing. I also in hindsight would have liked an option for adding text to the spine of the photobook.

I am delighted with the quality of the finished book. However, book creation software certainly needs attention. On a large screen some of the options simply do not appear; to design the book I needed to make the window smaller on my Mac. Moving images from one page to another also seems to screw up and undoing the change does not always successfully work.

This is a real shame as I would certainly be ordering way more books if the software was a little more developed.

However, a very fast service and very securely packed.

10/10 service, quality and experience

It has to be said that Saal photobooks are expensive, but they are a quality product and easy to put together. And I was amazed how quickly my order was delivered.

It's easy to create your photo book. The quality is incredible, the brushed metal cover is beautiful.

Liked the reminder when placing photos to make sure they went over the edge to avoid colour bleed. Was frustrating only being able to trim photos from the right edge and not the left, but eventually realised could leave unwanted area on the left outside the frame. Disappointed with the offer of £25 off if spent over £60 - it was not made clear that it would only be £11 due to all the photobooks being advertised as having been reduced by £14. Delighted with the quality of the photobook many thanks.

Amazing service! The photo books are such great quality and the templates for InDesign are welcomed. Just make sure to check the alignment upon import, as you’ll need to export as a PDF and importing into Saal’s photo book software can result in importation inconsistency’s. I have a few photos in my book that didn’t import correctly and unfortunately I didn’t notice until I received the book. But that aside, great price, fantastic quality and fast…very fast turn around.

Good price point and on time delivery

I like the quality however some of the images appeared dark/ shadowed in the print which was not apparent at upload. Images looked good on all other apps and were edited in Light room. Pretty disappointed and have junked the two books I had printed. Have re-edited and am having another print. Hopefully will be resolved…. Second print done… Some photos used to compile the book when printed seemed darkened to a point that they were not representative of the edits. On reviewing the images and brightening them using the on-line tool provided in the edit section the subsequent print was more pleasing however there were still images with a mild darkening. These images were shot in the same light as the images along side them which were not affected. As previously stated this was not apparent in other edit or photo programmes. It makes an expensive way to ‘trail’ whether the look is right. I am happy with the printing and quality but it makes it difficult to have confidence in the process if the results are uncertain.

I got a voucher in exchange for feedback, but it didn't work out very well...
the actual book was really well made, very happy with the structure, I got a red leatherette cover and it's gorgeous. HOWEVER, some of my photos were REALLY pixelated (like really bad). I know it wasn't on my end because they all came up as 'good quality' on their website. I was told it was MY issue and not theirs which is ridiculous as I knew all of my photos were of great quality and provided evidence of this. They offered another voucher but honestly don't trust that I won't get another blurry photo book. Had to get a refund. The customer service guy was very quick to reply though which I guess is a plus!

Really fast delivery, prompt communication and super impressed with the quality of the photo book - it looks amazing. Would definitely recommend!
