Had a brilliant day learning to make soap with Ruth and a very lovely bunch of ladies. All of my queries and questions were answered and Ruth was so knowledgeable qnd engaging. I came away with a clear understanding of soap making, as well as an enthusiasm to make more not to mention a gorgeous selection of soaps which we all had made! The only down side...waiting 4 weeks for them to cure before we can use them!! Loved the course! Lots of fun!

Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Ruth is a mind of information and guides you through the whole procedure step by step so there is no room for error. I came home loaded up with freshly made organic soaps. My car smelt like a spa. I had a one to one experience but with hindsight should have brought my daughters as the whole thing was so relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks Ruth for the day, it was perfect.

Absolutely brilliant workshop, Ruth is a true expert in soap making, her years of knowledge make the session invaluable for anyone interested in making soap for pleasure or to sell. I had no previous experience in soap making before attending, Ruth is so lovely and paced the session perfectly, providing just the right level of detail and information combined with demonstrations and plenty of time to make your own creations. It really was exactly what I needed to give me the confidence to have a go myself and it was such a fun day! I’ve already ordered all of the equipment and can’t wait to get started. This was a great session creating soaps to well tried and tested recipes. So they were all perfect :-) The teaching was straight forward, all questions were answered. The group was fun. I will be booking into the next course to develop my skills. Thankyou Ruth.

A wonderful afternoon spent making soap. Ruth made the course informative without being daunting or overly chemistry-heavy. It was very relaxed and yet we came away feeling inspired by all the possible combinations and looking forward to trying things out at home.
I am also much less scared by Lye now (my existing limited knowledge being mainly from The Woman In Black!).
Thoroughly recommend this course.

I came away from the course feeling ready to start making soap at home. Ruth explains everything in a way that's clear and easily understood. I felt that she didn't over-complicate things for this beginner's class, yet left us with the tools we needed to begin. I thought it was perfect.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our day with Ruth making some attractive soaps which had a gorgeous smell! It was well worth making the journey from the Wirral! The course was well run and small enough so that Ruth had time to help us all individually if we needed it and it gave me the confidence to make soap on my own now.

Ruth was very friendly and helpful. The instructions and demonstrations were clear and we all produced lovely soaps.

I have wanted to do a soap making course for some time so when I stumbled on Ruth's website and seeing how experienced she is and the locality I booked on it with my friend. We had a really fun day in the Village Hall, Poynton. We were joined by 6 other ladies and after a morning of instruction we made our first batch. A short lunch break (if you have forgotten your sandwiches there is a Coop around the corner and also a Waitrose within easy walking distance). After lunch we made a second batch of soap following clear instructions and with Ruth hovering around ready to help. I would recommend this course. Ruth also emailed a very extensive and helpful 'course notes' document.

Ruth sent comprehensive and constructive informatiin before the cours. When I arrived each workstation was set up for the practical elements. This set the scene for an excellent day of tutelage combining theoretical and practical instruction, with a light touch and yet a depth of information. Ruth encouraged questions and her response to both the group and to individuals was reassuring combining examples with background information.

I attended Ruth's course on 10 September, and it was a wonderfully inspiring day. Ruth explained the theory behind the soap making process clearly, in an easy to understand way. The room, and day was well organised, allowing us to put the theory into practice, and we all made different batches of beautifully fragranced soap. I would not hesitate to recommend attending one of Ruth's courses.

I attended Ruth's Advanced Soap Making Course on the 25th June 2022. Having previously attended the Beginners Soap Making and the Natural Skin Products Course.
I woke up a week after the course and wished I could do it again. I find Ruth to be an excellent teacher she has a lovely sunny and calm disposition and explains thinks so clearly. Everything was well set out with everything we would need on our long tables. We made 3 soap loaves and felt really accomplished and confident by the end of the day. with a new zest and can do approach, full of plans for future projects. The two other ladies on the course were lovely and also very supportive. I would not hesitate to recommend any of Ruth's courses. Looking forward to next time..

I had a truly wonderful day, Ruth was very patient and took the mystery out of soap making for me. Ruth was an excellent teacher and I will recommend the course to everyone I meet! It was excellent value and I've come away from the workshop a convert to making my own soap. All of my family and friends will be receiving home made soap as gifts from now on. Thank you so much Ruth
