Ruffians Arvostelua 

I emailed Ruffians Shoreditch on August 12th requesting a consultation for a red beard-dyeing service with Olivia, who I'd been told was the specialist, along with pricing and scheduling for the following week. No reply. I followed up the next evening, and on August 14th a staff member named Gabi told me Olivia was on holiday, that only she sets prices for this service, and that my email would be forwarded to her on return. I waited two weeks and followed up again on August 30th — nothing. Today, September 15th, over a month after my first inquiry, I emailed a third time. Again, silence.

Five weeks. Four emails. Still no price, no booking, no update. This isn't a delay — it's a business that simply doesn't follow up with prospective paying customers. If a shop can't manage a basic email inquiry for over a month, I'd think carefully before trusting it with your money for anything else.

I applied for a job as a junior barber at Ruffians Shoreditch and was invited for to complete a tray test. Prior to the interview I was asked to bring 2 of my friends to cut their hair and demonstrate my skills. I bought my 2 friends and completed their haircuts and was complimented on the haircuts at the time by Richard Tucker who was conducting the interview. Richard also advised me prior to the interview that he would provide one other model for me to cut their hair which he did not and on the day initially apologised for this. Prior to this interview Richard provided me no details of how the interview would be conducting, my role within the interview except for demonstrating my barbering skills or any indication of how long the interview would take. I completed the tray test on my 2 friends, was greeting customers into the shop and left at 5pm after my interview had finished. Richard on the day complimented me on my skills and initially stated he would invite me back to complete another tray test to further assess my skills. Later that evening received a message from him stating that I was unsuccessful with the interview and would not be invited back to complete another assessment. His rationale was because I was "talking to my customers", which I found to be disconcerting for a company that prides itself on customer service. Richard also stated that I did not bring 3 models to the interview even though it was pre-agreed that I would bring 2 and he would provide one. He also stated that I did not offer customers complimentary drinks upon arrival which I was not aware that I could do, as this was a job interview and had been given no previous indication I could provide free drinks to customers. Lastly, he stated in the text message he wanted me to stay until the shop shut at 8pm which was never discussed and also was not said when I was leaving the shop. The whole experience was very misleading, unprofessional and left me feeling extremely frustrated. Finally, he advised me to email Ruffians to discuss my experience and ask for another interview at another site which I did and never received an email back. Wouldn't advise anyone looking for a job within this company or at Ruffians Shoreditch. 

I had long hair, I asked for it to be cut to just above the shoulders. He cut it like a bob, instead of maintaining the layers that were already in place. He talked constantly and charged me more than the advertised amount 49 instead of 45, than i felt obliged to tip for all the banter (which was good but too much of it, far too much)..He was a lovely guy, but he spent more time talking than cutting and left me with a haircut I was to embarrassed to wear. I felt bad saying because he was such a nice guy... but wtf?! why would you give a guy an even bob? Ridiculous I immediately went elsewhere and had the cut redone.

I have been coming to the Ruffians in Covent Garden for over a year and I have always had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is always very warm and welcoming. I always request to get my hair and beard cut by Sirak and he never disappoints. I would highly recommend the Ruffians and Sirak to everyone!

Had a cracking beard trim and chat with the barber. Made to feel special from the minute you walk in. Superb service. will definitely be back

Ordered a gift set but received three loose bottles , no answer to any emails sent, absolutely disgusting service.
