I bought a Roamer Hard Shell roof tent from Roofbunk, and haven't looked back since my wild camping tour of the Hebrides. The price was very competitive compared to similar products from other sellers, and the quality first class. It was installed quickly and easily, and to set up or knock down takes about five minutes. The double bed sized mattress, 140cms x 210cms is not just spacious, but as comfortable as our bed at home. I chose to add the mattress topper, and the honeycomb anti condensation mat, both for very little extra. There are windows, with extra insect screens if needed, on all four sides, that can be open or closed depending on prevailing weather or views. Ventilation is good and as a viewing platform it is excellent. I am 71 and find using the ladder to get in and out very easy. At 6' 1"there is lots of room for me to sit up in bed. The cargo net and storage pockets are really useful for clothes, shoes, book, torch,etc,.The bedding can be left in situ when the roofbunk is closed for travel, adding convenience of instant set up, and saving luggage space. With the Roofbunk closed I noticed no difference in the car's handling on motorways. Pete, the boss, is a good communicator and always quick to reply to any query of mine, so the business feels personal. Such a great, comfort and convenience advance on old style camping. I can recommend Roofbunk wholeheartedly. Can't wait for my next adventure.

I purchased my roof tent on 26 June 2023. Pete provided an excellent demonstration on how the roof tent works, how it is assembled etc. I had many questions for Pete and he was able to provide full and comprehensive replies to them all. I felt very confident that i had made the right decision to buy a roof tent from roofbunk. Since buying the rooftent i have spent 9 weeks travelling around Norway and i have had no problems with it at all. The only minor issue is the carrier bag that stores the collapsible ladder needs to be made using stronger material as it has already started to split. However i have used the roof tent each night for the last 9 weeks so some wear and tear is to be expected. All in all i am very happy with my purchase and i can certainly recommend Pete and the Roof Bunk company to any future customers looking to buy a roof tent.

Pete was first class from start to finish. The RoofBunk matched the service and I am delighted with it. Have been to Ullapool, Gairloch and Skye - all on the west coast of Scotland so the RoofBunk has been used in sun, rain and wind! It was brilliant. My next trip is already planned for Fort William. This has been a great purchase and the quality and price are unmatched, as far as I'm concerned. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Found RoofBunk after spotting one on a van near me. I called Pete and he was really helpful without being pushy and answered all my questions. I had been considering the more well-known brand but I’m so glad I didn’t. Not only was the RoofBunk of equal quality, it’s bigger and came in £500 cheaper. I also had it fitted for free at the workshop. We’ve been out camping in it a couple of times as a family and can’t wait for more adventures to come!

Extremely happy with our Roof Tent. After lots of research, I settled on Roofbunk, comparing prices and Trustpilot reviews. I was not disappointed, as the service and delivery service was second to none. Pete’s communication was precise and quick.
As for the tent itself, I am extremely happy with it and it’s functionality. The build quality is superb and the design is well thought out and entirely functional.
The only thing I’d say is it’s a bit smaller than I thought, however, I am using it with 3 kids. I will need to upgrade in a few years as they get bigger.
It looks great and draws a lot of attention when I’m pitching up. I also get a lot of folk approaching the van when I’m going about my daily business to ask about the tent and what it’s like.
If you’re new to Rooftents and don’t know where to start, Roofbunk is your best bet!

Delighted with my new Roofbunk tent. As soon as I placed the order, communication from the company was brilliant, keeping me updated with delivery.
The tent arrived and was very straightforward to build, although it didn't have any instructions, there was a video on YouTube that took me through each step.

Absolutely top quality, amazing roof tent, I'm so happy I chose roofbunk. I went for the soft shell explorer as I wanted roof windows to watch the night sky, it truly does have panoramic views. I watched a lot of videos before buying a roof tent and one thing that kept coming up was how much hassle it is putting the tent up and down, I haven't had a problem yet, it's quick and easy. Inside is really comfortable, and really big! It's like the tardis. Me and my son have loads of space. The mattress feels great and the built in usb light is a real plus. Also the customer service from Pete has was and continues to be amazing, Over all I'm really happy with my roofbunk explorer and would give it more stars if I could!

I spent a while looking to buy a roof tent box, after all they are not cheap and I had no experience owning one. Plus I hate camping in a tent. When I final made a decision to buy one from RoofBunk it was based on the XL size (140cm wide as opposed to some at 125cm) and the price. It was £300-£400 cheaper which is a sizeable amount of money but sometimes cheaper prices mean cheaper products so I was a little concerned. My concerned soon melted away thanks to pre delivery care I received. RoofBunk were and continue to be amazing. In an age when getting reasonable customer service seems a distant memory these guys just smashed it out the park. The product itself is amazing. The quality, ease of installation and use all as described, if not better. It's certainly cannot be compared to tent because it is so comfortable. I compare it to hotels and BnBs such is the comfort but of course parking in beach side carparks overnight often means you wake to the most incredible view. I think so far we have saved £1300 on overnight accommodation using the RoofBunk plus it's made us get out more as we can be more spontaneous. It is a lot money to spend but I can't recommend RoofBunk and their product more highly. Safe trails.

From initial enquiry to delivery of the Roofbunk, the experience was very very good. Communications were prompt and professional. The product (hard shell Roofbunk) is fantastic. Only used once so far at Shindig festival. I was a bit worried about using the ladder when a little worse for wear but it's so easy to get up and in there were no problems! Highly recommend this company and product.
