We use Riverside to schedule and host webinars, record high-quality long-form content, and then quickly turn those recordings into short-form video clips for YouTube, , Instagram, TikTok and and other channels.

The editing capabilities are fantastic. Our team can take a full webinar and easily create multiple pieces of content without needing a separate video editing platform or a complicated production workflow. Being able to export and share content directly from Riverside to our other accounts on different platforms also saves us a huge amount of time.

It’s one of those tools that has genuinely helped us get more value from every piece of long-form content we create.

I’ve been charged £288 for a yearly subscription despite unknowingly signing up for a pro plan. It’s been impossible to get the money back despite their website claiming they will refund within 30 days of payment. I raised this with PayPal who closed the case in their favour and I shared two separate screenshots with Riverside to prove that the claim was shut. I’ve been on the phone to PayPal for hours who are insisting that because they’ve closed the case that Riverside need to refund me, and riverside are refusing, claiming that they can’t see it’s been shut despite multiple proof documents being shared. This has drained my bank account and left me in an unarranged overdraft that I’m now paying interest on.

i'm new to riverside - i picked it because it's the one everyone recommends for remote recording. this was one of my first real sessions on it: a professionally produced interview, studio booked, guest scheduled, crew on site. the session ran close to an hour.

throughout the entire recording, riverside's app showed every sign of working: recording indicator on, active-speaker display following me as i talked, nothing flagged. when we wrapped, my guest's tracks were there. mine - the host track - did not exist.

and i don't mean a failed upload. i went through riverside's local data on the recording machine myself: the host upload was marked complete with 0 bytes and 0 files. no media chunks anywhere on disk, including temp locations. the local recorder never created a single file while the UI told me, for the full session, that it was recording. the same bug also froze the stop button - i had to kill the session from somewhere else.

then their own support engineer told me why, in writing: a known bug in that app version (1.30.0). known - while that version was still out there being used. they told me to avoid the desktop app entirely and record in the browser instead. read that again: riverside knew its app could tell you it's recording while recording nothing, and left it in users' hands. judging by other recent reviews here, i'm not the only one who found out the hard way.

credit where it's due: frontline support was fast and human, the technical escalation was real, and they confirmed the root cause within a few days. that part was fine.

then it went to billing, and it fell apart. my actual loss is re-producing the entire episode - studio, guest, crew, everyone's schedules - comfortably over a thousand pounds, against a hard deadline. i asked for a longer subscription credit as a compromise (real value to me, costs them very little, keeps me as a customer). final answer: a few months of credit, "the full extent of compensation we're able to offer."

so where i land: a recording app's whole product is trust that the red light means something. riverside broke that, knew their app could break it, shipped it anyway, and valued the fallout at a few months of service. i can't recommend it, and i've switched my own sessions to the browser version on their own advice. whatever you record on - before your guest leaves the call, verify actual files with actual bytes exist for every track, yours included. the green light is not evidence.

Riverside FM tends to be a very well respected and easy to use platform. I came in with almost no experience podcasting and it was easy and intuitive to learn. Their AI tools have made editing tremendously easier. This is very little that I would change about this product at this moment.

Excellent product. Does everything for me. Recording interviews in audio and video. Provides a transcript. Creates video shorts. Edits podcast. Enhances sound to studio quality and much more. In addition the customer service is excellent. Can chat with a real person.
They are continually updating and enhancing the platform. I'm still only scratching the surface!

They won't let me close my account and I keep getting charged. I will make a complaint about these frauds.

I really like Riverside. I use it for my YouTube channel/podcast, and it's made recording reliable and editing easy. The cloud-based recording means internet connection issues on my end don't touch the actual recording, which alone has saved me more than once. I like the Magic Audio feature, and the AI-based editing makes cutting fillers and silences so easy. I also love the AI Dub Fix feature, being able to go back and correct a misspelled or mispronounced name after the fact is such a small thing that saves a real headache. Riverside is honestly the best subscription I've made this year. Very worth it.

Riverside is a podcasting platform with no reasonable equal in the industry. The amount of services they offer is incredible, and their editing tools are second to none. Really good stuff that you will not find in any other single provider. Their tech support is very quick and very thorough, but sometimes a tad too quick to want to pin the problem on the user instead of doing a deeper dive into their system software. That said, Riverside tech support is wonderful. They just rolled out a completely new Studio and Editor, and the output quality is incredible, I love all the new changes. We have an Enterprise Level subscription, super-users for sure, and Riverside makes me feel like I have a whole production team behind me, which really helps the "little guys" like NTEB. Riverside is not perfect, and I have been along for the ride during the "growing pains", but you won't find a better livestream audio and video podcast provider anywhere on Planet Earth. I first heard about Riverside in a YouTube video by Cleo Abram, where she talked about using it for her own work. Months later, when I started my own publication, I went looking for a platform to record and edit interviews. I compared several options and Riverside kept coming up as the best reference in the market, so I tried it.

My situation is not simple. I live in Mexico City and my guests are in the United States, Brazil and Europe. Long conversations, often more than an hour. What convinced me is that Riverside records each participant locally, so the quality of the final file does not depend on the quality of the call. I get separate tracks, in high quality, every time. Guests who have never used the platform join through a link and are ready in a few minutes.

I have sent the team a fair amount of feedback while using the product, which is not something I do for tools I do not care about. This is one I plan to keep.

I love Riverside. Easy to use and great value for money. The AI is so good, takes a lot of the stress out of it. Great software.

It helps me to edit and having high quality programs faster

This service was mediocre at best and makes it impossible to cancel the automatic payments. My plan is showing free yet I am getting charged 29 per month and can't shut it off. Stay away.

Zoom who i have switched everything to riverside its my all in one I edit my videos do live workshops hold meetings there is nothing like it and its improving all the time. Customer service and tech support is second to none. What are you waiting for download it sign up go

After having painstakingly found a guest, prepped for hours, recorded a great session, then only to find that the last 10min of the recording was lost in the upload, is so crappy. They did offer me 1 month free (not really worth it now, as I can't trust riverside). Once you loose the trust that your recording is going to record you can't really use the platform again.

I have been using Riverside FM off and on since 2021 and am proud to be called a Legacy client :). I'm using the Pro plan now and it mostly suits all of my needs. The best part about Riverside FM is the yearly improvements in their offerings and all the hands on support I get from the tech team. If I ever have an issue that the AI support cannot help, I'm almost immediately able to be connected to a live person, who always follows up and assists until the issue is resolved to my satisfaction. From this perspective only, Riverside FM is top notch and I would highly recommend it - especially for non-techie people like me. Thank you Riverside FM for all the years of making my podcast such a success!

Their desktop app stopped working, I reported it and they basically said they will not fix it. Not super happy with how this is run. It is a decent tool but will be looking for a new one
