Tim from repatriation medical services recently escorted my husband and I back to the UK from a hospital in Athens.
My husband had undergone surgery to repair a fractured knee,sustained while on holiday in Zante.
This was quite a traumatic experience for us.
Spending 2 weeks in a Greek hospital was not what we planned and we were totally drained from the experience.

Repatriation Medical Services Ltd was absolutely brilliant from beginning to end, making an overwhelming process feel so easy.

Sarah met us in Kusadasi and was amazing from day one. She was exceptionally kind, caring, and had a wonderful personality that immediately put us at ease. She safely guided us through two flights, seamlessly handling all the airport staff along the way.

Sarah constantly checked on my husband, who had recently suffered a stroke, and stayed right by our side all the way home. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her—she was truly outstanding. We couldn't be more grateful!

From the very first phone call with Georgie from RMS, i knew my mum was in safe hands, honestly she was outstanding putting myself at ease, explaining the whole repatriation. Tim Hodgson was my Mums medical escort Paramedic from Eygpt to Birmingham, Tim is an absolute gent and the care he had for my mum was exceptional, Tim is an Impeccable professional, he made sure everything ran without a hitch. We then met our ongoing Paramedic team at birmingham departures ambulance waiting who then took straight to our local Hospital, where my mum was seen straight away and given bed and support. Excellent repatriation service – highly recommended

I cannot thank Repatriation Medical Services enough for helping my nan get safely home from Turkey following an unexpected medical situation.

Initially, there were some complications with the flight arrangements, and her original flight was changed from Monday to Tuesday because the airline could not guarantee that she would be able to travel. This was an extremely stressful situation for our family, but Repatriation Medical Services handled everything professionally and ensured that the arrangements were made for her to return home safely.

A special mention has to go to Tim, her medical escort, who was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process. When he arrived at the airport, he contacted me and I was able to give him as much information as possible about my nan and her situation. He then went to the hospital, where he met with my nan, discussed everything with her in detail and gathered all the additional information he needed to ensure she was safe and fit to travel.

Tim then accompanied her on her journey home and went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable. He made sure she had food and something to drink at the airport, as well as looking after her companion who was travelling with her.

What really stood out to us was the communication. Tim kept both myself and my grandad informed throughout the journey, giving us updates along the way and reassuring us that everything was going smoothly. Even after they landed, Tim contacted me to let me know how the flight had gone and that my nan had arrived safely.

For our family, knowing that someone experienced and caring was with her throughout the journey gave us enormous peace of mind at what was an incredibly stressful time.

RMS repatriated my 86-y.o. father with endocarditis from Scotland to the U.S. From the moment we first spoke to Adam, they were clear, detailed, and compassionate; the entire team, including Georgie and Sam, gave us exact and timely information, and did what they said they would do when they said they would do it, including liaising with the two hospitals, organizing ambulances in both countries, coping with convoluted international money transfers, and managing all arrangements with United Airlines. The flight paramedic, Sarah, could not have been more professional and attentive while also being incredibly sweet.

Eduardo was unbelievable! It took 2 days to try and sort out payment between our insurance company and the hospital in Casablanca and Eduardo did it in two hours! He handled the situation in a quiet and professional manner, going above and beyond his duties. From the time he arrived, the whole repatriation was handled calmly and smoothly. Tim was truly exceptional from start to finish. after my mum was involved in a major accident in turkey, he flew out from the uk to bring her home safely. from the hospital in marmaris right through to the handover at manchester airport, he handled every part of the journey with complete professionalism, kindness and compassion.
he went above and beyond in every possible way. he took such wonderful care of my mum, making sure she was comfortable, reassured and supported throughout. he also gave so much reassurance to my mum and me during an incredibly stressful time. his calm nature, genuine care and constant support made all the difference when we needed it most.
we honestly cannot thank tim enough. he turned one of the hardest experiences of our lives into something that felt manageable, and knowing he was there gave us complete confidence that my mum was in the very best hands. he is a credit to his profession and, to us, a real-life superhero. Our recent experience with RMS via Georgie and Adam was outstanding.
Compassionate and empathetic in the most stressful of circumstances transporting my 22 year old daughter from crete holiday back to UK after 6 day stint in crete hospital when she developed ascending numbness and lost use of her legs due Gulianne Barr Syndrome. Georgie had knowledge of this awful rare condition and instantly understood what my daughter needed. I felt her advice and support was invaluable throughout. Adam kept us routinely updated on the progress regarding her repatriation organisation and plan on the day. OK we got few unexpected hiccups but we were kept informed throughout. Our transfer back to our local icu was seemless thanks to Geogies organisation ahead of time.
I would undoubtedly recommend EMS to anyone in these type of circumstances.

Tim Hodgson of ERV Medical Assistance was very competent and friendly, accompanied me from the hospital in France where I was staying for rehab, right through security, immigration etc. at both ends, and was helpful and pleasant company on the flight. He made sure he handed me over to the ambulance on arrival before going his way.

Highly professional but also kind, friendly and understanding service from RMS when my 85 year old sister needed repatriation after a hip fracture and subsequent surgery in France.
Anticipating the journey home wasn't easy, but once we met Tim who had flown out to accompany my sister back to the UK we were completely reassured. His medical knowledge, readiness for any potential problems and above all his warmth were exactly what we needed!

My husband and I was on a 15 day cruise from the uk, on the 2nd day of our holiday my husband suffered a stroke and a bleed on his brain.
We were in the bay of biscay and had another day at sea before we could dock in Portugal, he was admitted to hospital and we both stayed in the hospital for 12 days.
The insurance company arranged for us to have a paramedic fly in for the uk and help us get home, miles a paramedic arrived on Thursday and stopped by at the hospital to introduce himself to us, he returned the next morning at 6.45am to travel with us back to the uk Stansted airport.
Miles was such a lovely guy, he was very professional, caring,attentive and took care of everything, we couldn’t of got home without him, he came with us right to our home, even offering to take our suitcases upstairs.
I would not hesitate to recommend miles to anyone travelling after an accident, can’t fault the service that miles provided, we felt comfortable, and was and he reassured us all the time. Thankyou.

My wife shattered her knee on holiday in Tunisia she required surgery and there were some problems after that while she has in hospital making it near impossible for me to get her home.
