Nem udlevering af bilen og opgraderet (automatgear) - næsten ny bil gør køreturen noget sjovere når terrænet bliver udfordrende! En god oplevelse til fair pris.

What a joke. By far the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. I suddenly got slapped with a hefty fine for a really tiny piece of damage that was already there. Complete scam. Customer service is absolutely useless, they put all the blame on the customer and I didnt even cause the damage.

I would strongly advise everyone to stay away from this company. Save yourself the trouble and rent from a reliable provider instead.

Bondefangeri og dårlig service. Efter at vi har købt rejse hos Travel Nord incl. lejebil hos RentYourCar FO, står vi tilbage med en ekstra regning på 7.000 kr. for bilskade som IKKE er forvoldt af os. Vi lejede en bil igennem Travel Nord og fik udleveret en møg beskidt bil, som ikke var den bil som vi havde bestilt hjemmefra. Den havde flere tape markerede skader og et "til salg" skilt i ruden og havde 150.000 km. på tælleren, og dagen efter var der en advarselslampe som lyste. Vi gjorde RentYourCar FO opmærksom på dette, men det var de ligeglade med, da det vidste de godt. Vi konstaterede også en lille bule i højre side (flimmer), men det ses dårligt på en meget beskidt bil. Ved endt rejse afleverede vi bilen uden personlig kontakt og smed nøglen i nøgleboks. Efter hjemkomst meddeler RentYourCar FO, at de har inddraget 7.000 kr. på grund af en udokumenteret bilskade. Dette åbner en mulighed for at bondefange alle som er så naive, at de ikke minutiøs efterser en gammel lejebil. Vi har efterfølgende haft kontakt til Travel Nord og de hævder at de har fuld tillid til RentYourCar FO og vil fortsat anvende dette udlejningsfirma.

RentYourCar.Fo er desværre et biludlejningsfirma som man husker dem fra "gamle dage". Jeg lejede en Nissan Qashqai i starten af juni med adskillige skader. Bilen havde buler, afskallet lak og løse skærme. Jeg tog billeder af skaderne som jeg blev opfordret til. Nu synes RentYourCar at jeg skal hæfte for en lille ubetydelig ridse på den i forvejen ødelagte bil. Og det til den nette som af 1500 dkr. De vil ikke dokumentere at jeg har lavet skaden. Men de har allerede trukket beløbet på mit kort. Derudover er de ualmindeligt svære at kommunikere med. Sagen er sendt til forbrugerklagenævnet i håbet om at andre ikke oplever det samme.

Selvom afhentning og aflevering var nemt og hurtigt, så er det et seriøst problem med de oplysninger man får. Vi blev informeret om at købe et tunnel-pass var den eneste vej frem, da vi boede i Klaksvik og derfor skulle gennem tunnelerne mange gange i løbet af vores ophold. Jeg blev forklaret at tunnelpasset gav fri adgang til tunnellerne på øerne. Det viste sig så ikke at være rigtig og vi står nu med en regning på 3400,- ekstra for at have kørt igennem Eysturoyar tunnellen, da den ikke er omfattet af passet. PÅ INTET TIDSPUNKT i samtalen med manden bag disken, blev jeg informeret om dette. Jeg spurgte ad verbatim "Gælder dette pass så til alle tunnellerne" og manden nikkede og sagde "ja". Det er bondefangeri.

OBS OBS de tager vilde overpriser når man kører igennem tunnellerne - og de oplyser først priserne, når man henter bilen. På dansk kaldes det bondefangeri…. Hos Rentyourcar.fo kalder de det normal praksis😳 find et andet sted at lej en bil, medmindre du kan li’ at blive snydt….

Jeg har nydt godt af den gode service i lufthavnen af hjælpsomt personale. De små "problemer" der har været, er til hver en tid blevet afhjulpet prompte.
Her går de ikke i små sko, hvorfor jeg også kommer igen og igen.

We quickly got the keys and the car was comfortable.
We experienced difficulty when opening the door to the fuel; it seems that it happens with our model of car.

We booked a car through Arctic Rental and our booking was contracted out to RentYourCar.fo. They are an awful company: (i) delay and no key for accessing the keybox; (ii) vehicle provided was severely damaged; (iii) tried to threaten us into taking the damaged vehicle.

Our flight was scheduled to land at 1pm; it was delayed for two hours. By 3pm when we landed, we still had not received the password to the Keybox from Artic Rental. We were told by one of the staff for RentYourCar.fo that the car was not ready even though we made a reservation more than a month ago to be picked up at 1pm.

After speaking to Arctic Rental (and finding out that the car is provided by RYC.fo, we went to the RentYourCar.fo's counter and were provided with the keys to our car. Upon examining the car, the right rear-side of the vehicle was completely damaged and barely taped together using a lot of masking tapes. Some of the masking tapes were still dangling in the air. There were also extensive scratch marks and rusts on the vehicle and it was obvious that these damages were in existent for a long time. They knew about them and those damages were seen reported on their system. We were also told that the vehicle was safe to drive albeit the employee admitted that because of the masking tapes, in reverse gear, the rear sensors will always detect moving objects and the warning system will constantly beep. It was obviously not a safe vehicle to drive in.

Rentyourcar.fo could not offer any alternatives. The only alternative were either an electric vehicle which had to be returned in 3 days for another customer (our trip was for 9 days), and a manual car (which my additional driver could not drive). They threatened that given it is peak season, we couldn't possibly look for alternatives and should just take this ridiculously scrapped car.

After more than 3 hours on the phone with Arctic Rental our car rental agency (we missed the only sunny afternoon we had during our time in Faroe Islands and would otherwise have gone for a hike in Trælanípa), we were finally provided with another vehicle.

Hentede bilen på kontoret i Tórshavn. Sød og venlig personale der forklarede os alt omkring bilen. Afleverede bilen i lufthavnen og nøglen i Key Drop off - meget nemt.
Da vores fly var forsinket fik vi lov at udskyde aflevering af bilen, så længe som muligt.

Worst experience in my life, I am 57, have rented dozens of cars and never suffered anything like this.
I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.
I chose RentYourCar based on good reviews, and prioritizing Faroese company against global brands.
I was given a quite basic Dacia. On the 3rd day there was no water for the windscreen. On the 6th day when I tried to fill the tank I was not able to open the gas lock, it was blocked. I missed a whole day of my 1 week holiday saving fuel in order to be able to reach the airport without missing my flight on my last day. And I was not even sure if the remaining fuel would do.
I sent several mails to the office and generic mailbox but I got reply only after I had already left the islands. I talked by phone to an employee but he was not able to provide solution nor alternatives.
Luckily I was able to reach the airport with the remaining fuel, with the refilling indicator in red.
I asked the employee in the airport office to check the gas lock. He was not able to open neither. He told me I would not be charged for refilling fuel concept. I requested additional commercial attention based on the inconveniences caused.
I have been charged more than 1500 Kr. I asked details but I got no reply.
I expected no additional charges. If I had enough time in Faroe I would have asked for an official complaining form or even go to police.
I hope that this review will help other people, or at least the company to reply my mail

Efter at have lejet bil hos jer finder jeg ud af at I som eneste udlejningsselskab på Færøerne opkræver tunnelafgift for de store tunneller på 560,-kr. t/r, andre selskaber tager 500,-kr. t/r.

I struggled with rental car choice for my Faroe trip. I made the correct choice with RentYourCar. Price was good compared to others. Pick up was very easy and fast. I added the wifi and am happy with that decision too! The car was low mileage, very clean and comfortable. It drove very well on those narrow Faroe roads. Most tolls were included. Drop off was extremely easy. Rent from this company with confidence!

Very happy with the service, the car I got and the price. I will return to the Faroe Islands and Rent Your Car will be my preferred choice for car rental.

The car was good, if very much a hire car, with a gear change that felt like it had been misused by many past drivers, and it took us all around the Faroe Islands without problems for 5 days. The staff were friendly and helpful and everything was easy. Contact was not easy. When I wanted to check the drop off time for the car, I rang the mobile number I had been given a number of times and couldn't get through.
