Fui víctima de un intento de estafa en…
Fui víctima de un intento de estafa en el Aeropuerto de Lima por parte de la empresa Hertz. El vehículo fue reservado y pagado previamente a través de la plataforma RentingCars, por lo que no existía justificación alguna para cobros adicionales fuera de lo estrictamente contratado.
Al presentarme a retirar el vehículo, la funcionaria que me atendió, al notar que era extranjero, comenzó a inventar supuestos seguros “obligatorios” inexistentes, asegurando falsamente que eran exigidos por la normativa local, con el claro objetivo de forzar un cobro adicional fraudulento.
La conducta fue abusiva, engañosa y absolutamente inaceptable, más aún considerando que se produce dentro de un aeropuerto internacional, donde los usuarios confían en procesos regulados y transparentes. La situación alcanzó tal nivel de irregularidad que me vi obligado a retirar inmediatamente las fotocopias de mi licencia de conducir y de mi cédula de identidad, con el fin de evitar eventuales cargos indebidos o fraudulentos a mi tarjeta de crédito.
Este hecho confirma, lamentablemente, las advertencias que existen respecto de prácticas corruptas y abusivas hacia extranjeros en Perú, aunque jamás imaginé experimentarlo directamente mediante una funcionaria asociada a una empresa que opera dentro del aeropuerto.
Tanto la aplicación como el sistema de arriendo de Hertz y RentingCars resultan inseguros, carecen de mecanismos reales de protección al consumidor y permiten este tipo de abusos sin asumir responsabilidad alguna. No recomiendo bajo ninguna circunstancia utilizar estos servicios, salvo que se reconozca el hecho, se asuman responsabilidades y se proceda a la devolución inmediata del dinero cobrado indebidamente.
Quedo a disposición para que se me contacte a la brevedad, con el objetivo de gestionar la devolución total del dinero y recibir una explicación formal por este gravísimo incidente.

Avoid RentingCarz: Unjustified Fees and Failed Refund Promises
1. Pushed Changes & Extra Fees
They pressured me into a vehicle change, claiming my original choice was unavailable. Despite the new car being in a similar class, they charged an extra fee without a clear explanation.
2. Admitted Overcharging & Refund Processed
I discovered a significant discrepancy between my actual payment and the amount on the voucher. After I demanded an explanation, the company admitted the pricing error and moved forward with a 100% full refund.
3. Incomplete Refund & Unreliable System
Despite the agreement to refund 100%, the actual amount returned was only partial. It didn't match the total amount I paid, suggesting a serious flaw in their internal payment system. They are now stalling, repeatedly saying they are "checking with the relevant department."
Conclusion:
Their payment system is completely untrustworthy. To make matters worse, their support is extremely unresponsive. I will not stop until I receive the remaining balance of my refund. RentingCarz must resolve this immediately.

Reserved and paid for a car…but there was none at pick up!
Smells like a scam to me!
We reserved a car on rentingcarz.com, paid, arrived at the Dollar Rental office at the airport to pick up the vehicle…but they showed no reservation placed under our name. Because there was no reservation, we had to rent and pay for another vehicle on the spot.
We immediately submitted a claim for a refund via the email provided on your site, and received an auto-generated email stating that we would get our case resolved within 21 working days. Well, 21 working days have passed, and still no reply from your company, and no resolution….and no refund!
You folks have no obvious telephone number to call to speak to a live person…and the WhatsApp chat looks like it’s solely for making reservations. Finally got onto the website chat, but the customer service agent had no answers and no new deadline, claiming that the rental car company didn’t respond…is that not your company’s job to follow through on this?
Bottom line, we paid for something we didn’t get! Refund us immediately, please—your inability to resolve this should not be the customer’s problem.

日本旅行からの外注先の契約で、日本旅行からと私から連絡して再三連絡するよう依頼しても一週間以上経っても連絡がなく、
今現在も連絡なく困っています。
レンタカー予約してもレンタカーが無かったのでレンタカー会社がミスを認めて、レンタカー代の一日分とレンタカー会社までの往復のタクシー代を返金すると言われて、レンタカーの前払いの会社に返金に必要な書類とタクシーの領収書を出して返金してもらって下さいと言われました。
レンタカーの返金書類とタクシーの往復分のレシートを添付していますので、料金の返金対応速やかにお願いします。
