Lexicon DJ Arvostelua

The itunes dj app. Best of what i whant. Ratting, Playlists, remove brocken track, ...

Just a little expensive.

Lexicon is packed with features, and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into how everything works together. There are so many useful tools for cleaning up your music library, managing metadata and moving between DJ software. The approach feels logical, and once you get into it, you realise how much work it can save you.

What I particularly appreciate is how responsive the developer is and how directly user feedback seems to feed into improvements. It feels like a product that's actively being developed with DJs in mind, rather than just another piece of software.

The backup system also gives me confidence when working with my library, which is really important when you're dealing with years of playlists, cues and metadata. Exporting still feels a little risky at times, and I'd love to see more options and clearer explanations of exactly what will happen during export. So far, though, everything has worked out well.

My biggest criticism is the pricing. For hobby DJs who don't need Lexicon every day, the full price feels quite high, and a monthly subscription isn't ideal either. I'd love a more flexible option that lets me use it intensively for a day or two whenever I need it, without feeling like I have to maintain a subscription.

Overall, a fantastic, feature-rich tool with a very responsive developer and a lot of smart ideas behind it. Definitely recommended, especially if you regularly manage or migrate a large music library. Five stars from me!

Organising Library is a breeze once you learn Lexicon DJ. This Price is worth it!!! Keeping files/folders organized, tagged so DJ ing would become stress free!

I was struggling to organize my library of tracks, and Lexicon has been a total lifesaver. It is quick, a lot of nice features to enrich my tracks in bulk. And after enriching eveything it syncs with Rekordbox. This is a must-have tool.

So after a 20 years of searching for the solution for all my music I have finally found it ! <
I would remmendate this software as a total solution for managing your library. Export and import, organise, analyze tracks, use auto cues, rename and clean up your library....

great app price have also drop since last year and features keep getting.perfect for any dj any software

Since my early days of DJing, I have always found library management between my actual music file archive, Serato, Rekordbox, and the various streaming platforms. It has been such a headache to constantly rebuild and match playlists, remove duplicates, and ensure that my presence is consistent across all social dsps. Lexicon is truly the only platform that fixes all of this.

Having a huge music database is awesome, but organizing and cleaning everything up was an absolute nightmare. Most of the time, after an hour I was already like, “screw this, I’m done.” 😂

BUT I have to say, this software really was the hero of the day. Everything runs so smoothly now, and even the tags, covers and cue points transfer like it’s nothing.

I use both Rekordbox and VirtualDJ, and now everything works perfectly across both. Thanks so much for making this so much easier!

I've been DJing for over twenty years and I recently decided to rebuild my whole Rekordbox library from scratch. I don't think I'd have finished it without Lexicon.

The export back into Rekordbox is the big one. Tracks I'd already analysed went across with their beatgrids and cue points intact. No re-analysis, nothing to redo by hand. That alone saved me a ridiculous amount of time.

Smart playlists are the other thing. I play across a fairly wide spread, indie dance and nu disco through to tech house and techno with some afro and electro in there, and keeping that sorted by hand in Rekordbox was hopeless. Setting rules on genre, BPM, energy and date added and letting the playlists build themselves is a completely different way of working.

Cleanup was the part I didn't expect to care about: duplicates, missing files, tags all over the place after years of buying music from different shops. Sorted in one pass.

It's not perfect. The interface takes some getting used to, and I had to sit down with the docs before the advanced rules clicked. The first full analysis of a big library is slow too, though you only do it once.

I went back and forth for ages between the subscription and the lifetime licence. After the time it's saved me, that wasn't a hard call in the end.

It's ended up being part of my prep rather than just a one off cleanup tool, which I wasn't expecting.

I am giving Lexicon 4 stars instead of 5 only because it is still an actively evolving product that requires manual oversight in certain areas (like automated tagging and hardware sync edge cases). However, the sheer amount of specialized tools it offers to organize, clean, and manage a music library is far superior to anything else currently available.

What impresses me most is the developer, Christiaan. He communicates directly with the community across multiple platforms, actively listens to user feedback, and deploys rapid fixes whenever bugs are reported.

The direction of this software is outstanding. Lexicon holds immense, unmatched potential to revolutionize how music is classified and organized in ways that haven't been done before. It is already a powerful tool, and with its ongoing development, it is on track to become an absolute game-changer for DJs and music curators.

I was really impressed by all that this app/software can do! It has a lot of tools that help resolve a lot of the problems inherit in a long standing DJ library. Is it complex with a steep learning curve? Yes. You have to put in the time in order to utilize it to its fullest potential. Once you do, you can save a lot of time, (however, always with the caveat that you can also make some unintended changes, especially at first, so always back up your DJ Library prior to making any major changes).
My main wish would be that there was a simpler mode or version to start learning on and that some things could not be changed (for instance, it can collapse all the categories of Rekordbox My Tags into one Lexicon category; that for me, should have an option to be locked away).

In short, don't expect quick fixes. They are possible once you get the hang of it, and if your library is relatively new, you might be able to do much quickly. But if you're a pro DJ, this is more of a partner app, filling in the gap left my the makers of all DJ libraries, and is something you will appreciate, the more you use it.

Very nice tools !!

Such a great experience, has helped me clean up years worth of music collection - quick removal of duplicates, genre cleanup has been a gamechanger and the tutorials are super helpful to unlock the true potential and features. Am totally sold on it and recommend it to all my mates that dabble in DJing.

As a mobile DJ, full time dad, and also full time worker outside of DJing. A lot of my tracks and playlists can get messy. I was trying to do something really fast and stumbled upon Lexicon. It has been so helpful. I didn't even realize you could get a free month by completing the tutorial, I opted in for the subscription almost immediately because it was worth it's weight in gold.

Best tool on the market. Finally I can handle my music collection with a proper database tool. Especially happy that I don't have to use the useless Rekordbox anymore to fill my USB's. Great to see more and more features coming up. There is somebody who understands what a DJ needs. More than happy, worth every cent!

I've been a Lexicondj user from the start and it just keep getting better. I used to have all your top dj library apps, each one had it's purpose, now with the new beta version Lexicon DJ is all I need. Also the cloud library saved my butt a couple of times in a matter of minutes. Worth every dollar, my only complaints are I think the find year and album cover had better results on the older version & it's not a Dj app lol soon I hope

This Dj tool is absolutely amazing. I wish I discovered it earlier. My workflow changed completely

An absolute game-changer for busy DJs!Lexicon DJ has completely transformed my workflow. It is an incredibly powerful tool that has saved me countless hours of preparation. Features like its smart track organization and lightning-fast analysis allow me to manage my library in minutes instead of days. The automated cue point generation is an absolute lifesaver. For genres with consistent structures like reggaeton or house, it accurately maps out the track layout instantly. What used to be a tedious, time-consuming process of manually placing cue points is now smooth and automated. Thanks to its intuitive design, I can focus less on the technical headache and more on the music. If you want to optimize your time, this tool is a must-have!
