Regio Jet trains - a cheap mode of transport (for medium-length distances)

The train ride was comfortable with nice and clean seats, however my experience had a number of other problems.

Firstly, the Air Conditioning was inconsistent. Whether done on purpose, or by faulty tech, the air conditioning was constantly switching on and off - at one point even leaving us drenched in sweat after a 30-40 minute pause.

On top of that, as it was a long train ride, we ordered some food. The service was poor and not helpful at all, and we had to resort to the hard to navigate mobile application. After a 10 minute wait (mind you, the food is premade), we managed to get ahold of a employee to ask about the order. We were told we would wait for up to ONE HOUR.

To sum up, the train ride was just “okay”. It is nothing to write home about and certainly not to be looking forward to. The faulty air conditioning and terrible customer service give reason to a cheap and clean train ride. 2/5; Buy on a budget.

I travelled from Prague to Vienna for 4 hours and the air conditioning was not working at all!!! Everyone was making some fans with the papers they had because it was too damn hot! Due to the heat, I felt like vomiting so it was the worst 4 hour train ever!

Keine Klimaanlage, verwahrloste Zugabteile und völlig überfüllt. Nie mehr wieder!

I have used regiojet three times the last two weeks to travel from Berlin-Prague, Prague-Vienna and Ostrava-Krakow. I had such good experiences on all of them. Prague to Vienna was by train and it was the best train ride I have ever had. The food and drinks on board was so cheap and quite tasty as well. The other two journeys were buses but they were also very nice.

Bad climatic system, +40, arrogant personal

Rude Staff, Teamleader raising voice against Customers, no Service. Treating people with the same ticket differently.

Worst company in the world.

We had the worst experience of our lives on the bus route from Milan to Prague due to the aggressive behavior of the drivers towards passengers and being prohibited from using the restroom for most of the journey.

After departing Milan, passengers tried to use the restroom, but the restroom was locked and they couldn't enter. They attempted to use it at different times, but it remained locked. When the bus arrived at the Lugano stop, several passengers were waiting to use the restroom. A passenger politely asked one of the drivers if he could unlock the restroom as passengers needed to use it. At that moment, the driver started yelling aggressively at the passengers in his language and did not unlock the restroom.

While in Lugano, another passenger respectfully asked the other driver if he could unlock the restroom. He also began yelling and did not unlock the restroom. Consequently, no passengers could use the restroom despite having urgent needs, causing significant distress.

Approximately 10 minutes after leaving Lugano, one of the drivers got up, unlocked the restroom, used it himself, and then locked it again. It was really weird situation because they didn't let us use it, but they were using it themselves. This meant that from about 3 hours nobody could use the restroom. After three hours a driver unlocked the restroom without informing any passengers that it was available for use.

It is suspected that the drivers locked the restroom to avoid cleaning it, but this caused significant distress to many passengers who had urgent needs. This was undoubtedly the most unpleasant, suffering, and aggressive journey experienced in my life. Drivers with such behavior should not be working with passengers!

The train is bad ! Please don’t travel .. The AC’s are not working at all ..

Fahrt mit Regiojet (Bahn) von Breclav nach Wien. Zug ca. 45 min verspätet dahergekommen. Laut Fahrplan und laut Leuchtschriftanzeige im Zug wären die nächsten Halte Wien Hbf. und Wien Meidling, dann Weiterfahrt nach Budapest. Wir wollen in Meidling aussteigen, aber Zug hält einfach nicht, "um die Verspätung aufzuholen" wie Schaffner später sagt. Also fahren wir zwangsweise bis Grenzstation Hegyeshalom mit - unglaublich ! Dort steht gegenüber gottseidank ein ÖBB Zug abfahrbereit Richtung Wien, ÖBB-Schaffner nimmt uns voller Mitleid gratis zurück nach Wien mit und sagt, wir wären nicht die ersten, denen das so passiert ! Nie wieder Regiojet !!

Was booked into to travel from Vienna to Budapest, some problems with tracks they cancelled the train and refused to offer bus replacement service like QBB did. One un interested person to speak to you after 3 hour queue telling you to travel tomorrow.

Ich bin sonst ÖBB-Fahrerin aber dachte, ich gebe RegioJet mal eine Chance. Man spart sich ja doch ein bisschen was. Direkt bereut und absolut nicht zu empfehlen!

Am Bahnhof Wien wurden die Türen einfach nicht geöffnet, alle Passagiere standen mindestens 10 Minuten draußen und es wurde keine Info an uns weitergegeben. Im Zug ist Personal herumgehuscht, aber niemand hat mit uns gesprochen. Der Zug an sich war gesteckt voll und extrem eng. Man MUSS - wie wir dann herausgefunden haben - eine Sitzplatzreservierung haben. Für uns wurde die automatisch generiert, wir konnten also nicht zusammensitzen. Als wir eine Schaffnerin nach Hilfe Fragen wollten, sagte sie, es wäre nicht ihr Job, uns zu helfen. Naja, was ist denn sonst ihr Job bitte??? Das Wasser, was dann ausgeteilt wurde, hat auch nicht mehr geholfen.

Fazit: Das Geld was man sich hier sparen würde, ist der Komfort und das nette Personal bei den ÖBB allemal wert. Lieber zahl ich mehr, als nochmal mit diesen Ranz-Zügen zu fahren.

Das Personal scheint bereits mit dem eigenen Leben maßlos überfordert zu sein und strahlt dies auch mit übermäßiger Unfreundlichkeit und Inkompetenz aus. Es war ein einmaliger Ausflug in die Untiefen der Dienstleistungs-Hölle.

Even if the tickets are cheap, it’s not worth it. The company always arrives more than 30 minutes late and does not inform anyone. The worst bus company ever. I will never take it again.

I have used RegioJet multiple times and they always arrived on time or with only a slight delay. Much better than other proviers.

Tickets are affordable, buses are greatly equipped with accessories.

Instantly earned my loyalty. The app is simplistic and not as polished as the green monopolist, but all the essential features are better.

Train from Budapest to Vienna never arrived. we were a group of around 15 people left at night, without any information, finally we had to buy another ticket with MAVSTART because REGIOJET train never arrived.

Very rude and used discriminatory language

Wir haben Regiojet von Wien nach Budapest benutzt. Alles war okay.Die meisten Waggons sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen,genau wie die Toiletten.Man fährt mit regiojet aber wesentlich günstiger als mit der OBB. Wir bekamen zur Hin-und Rückfahrt jeweils eine kleine Flasche Wasser umsonst. Es wird zwar im Zug Internetzugang versprochen, doch funktioniert hat dieser leider nicht.Dafür war die Bahn ziemlich pünktlich.

Don't use Regiojet for route Vienna airport to Brno. Book directly with Gepard!!!
Awful behaviour, they left me in the middle of the night in Vienna for 7 hours waiting, they kept lying and they didn't refund (not even fare), they didn't took any responsibility because it was code sharing with Gepard.
