Hosts The Reel Deal Film Festival and The Battle of the Film Schools At-Risk Youth Outreach offering filmmaking clubs, mentoring, job shadowing, college counseling for aspiring filmmakers, and scholarships. This all volunteer organization gives community support, teen outreach, harnesses community resources and brings together diverse groups in the beach and coastal areas of the central Florida Coast.

This organization demonstrates a full-throttle commitment to young and aspiring filmmakers. In particular, the foundation does an amazing job with their annual "Reel Deal Film Festival" in New Smyrna Beach.
Their festival selections are visual treats - written, produced, and directed by local and national filmmakers. And the New Smyrna Beach community appears very supportive.

I was fortunate enough to have my film "A WALK TO BREATHE" get accepted to film festival. I've been to many film festivals over the years. But what made this one stand out was the use of their city, the wonderful volunteers, the hospitality, the variety of films, and the fun energy.
I have been to New Smyrna Beach but never really went to the Marriott Springhill Suites until the festival happened. I loved the space and the warm welcome. It was a nice place to have the event begin. But my favorite spot for the festival was where they had the Director's Showcase. The venue was The Hub on Canal. It's a location rich with art and entertainment. The perfect spot to have the best films shown. Also, if you want to venture around the area, there are some great spots to explore like their restaurants, shops, and most of all the beach!
The volunteers were super nice and helpful. I loved the fact that they were not just there but they were film lovers too. Carolena, who runs the show, really did a fantastic job with communication, running everything, and making the festival feel like home. I owe a lot of the positive experience to her for helping me feel welcomed and informed.
Another important thing that stood out from the rest of the fests were the variety of films. We had films that ranged from comedy to science fiction. Great student films to incredible documentaries. Some films were moving and others really made you think. The beauty of film is to make you see life through another lens and this film festival definitely did that.
The biggest take away from the festival was the fun energy. When I was invited to come back to the festival, I didn't hesitate due the amount of fun I had. It was a great place to network and meet other filmmakers that admired the craft. I had such an amazing time. So, if you want to enjoy the positive energy, be entertained and even educated, then this is the festival for you.

The film festival brings a wide variety of films to coastal Central Florida from all over the world. It provides film-makers an opportunity to showcase their craft and also shares a diverse set of film with the local community. It is run by folks who are dedicated to helping teenagers reach their full potential, especially high-schoolers with a future interest in film and current film students. It provides scholarships to high schoolers and places great emphasis on showcasing student films.
