Redwood Outdoors Arvostelua 

We are very happy so far with the kit we purchased. There are a couple of things that really could have improved our experience. I will leave a 4-star review due to the items listed below.
1. Many of the parts were not labeled so trying to figure out which parts went where took a lot of time. I don't think the stickers fell off as we looked in the box. Even if the numbers were marked with a sharpie in places that weren't going to show would be amazing and a time saver. If that's not possible then send a link in the after-purchase webmail to the parts list for the Sauna.
2. If we had known we needed the waterproof boxes ahead of time that would have saved us money as we had to pay the electrician's an extra trip as we didn't have the boxes ahead of time. If you could just send a webmail after each purchase of items that would be needed that weren't included in the kit that would be a big help. A list stating an electrician needed to install electrical components and if using sauna outdoors then the 2 links for the waterproof boxes that you sent would be perfect and would make the installation more seamless.
3. Included in the list I would have loved a suggestion of items to help the outdoor sauna stay in better condition. I looked on many different websites and discovered outdoor saunas should be stained with a special sauna stain to help keep the wood protected from the natural environment as well as the heating and cooling from the Sauna. You could include links then to different stain applications that you could have in your store. I would also include a link for the wax that we need to use on the indoor portion of the sauna.
4. We ordered the better roofing package with the tin. It has been significantly delayed and the person I spoke to yesterday said it isn't scheduled to be shipped until the end of May. Just an email letting us know about the delay would have been good.

We are very happy with the customer service. We are happy we bought from an American Company. The shipping was handled fairly well. Thank goodness we had a tractor available to help unload the box as the shipper didn't have any equipment to handle that.

I have purchased two saunas from Redwood Outdoors: the Summit Outdoor Sauna – 6 Person and, most recently, the Garden Outdoor Sauna – 8 Person. I really like both saunas, but I prefer the Garden Outdoor Sauna – 8 Person. It is slightly roomier inside, and the biggest upgrade is the top bench, which is significantly deeper and more comfortable.

A few additional notes:

-Both saunas are relatively easy to assemble, but you will need two people and should plan on about four hours. We did not install the shingles because one sauna is in our basement and the other is in the garage at a different property. If you are installing the shingles, I would add another 30 minutes or so.

-I would 100% recommend ordering the Wi-Fi controller. It is very convenient to start the sauna when I leave work, and by the time I get home 45 minutes later, the sauna is already heated and ready to use.

-I have two different heaters: one sauna has the Harvia Spirit, and the other has the Harvia Virta. I strongly recommend the Virta. It has a sleeker design with fewer visible rocks, but it still holds more rocks overall and creates a better sauna experience. It is hard to explain, but at the same temperature, the heat from the Virta feels softer and more pleasant.

-The only downside I experienced was with shipping communication. Redwood Outdoors was slow to ship and was not proactive about delays. With both purchases, the sauna showed as available and ready to ship at the time of purchase. After waiting about 30 days without hearing anything, I reached out to them. Their team was pleasant and helpful, but it would have been better if they had communicated upfront that it would take closer to six weeks to ship because the sauna and/or heater was not in stock. That said, I waited the six weeks and am very happy with the purchase.

-If you have any questions about installation or wiring, I recommend reaching out to their customer support team. The instructions are not always perfectly clear, but their customer support has been very helpful.

Overall, these are great saunas. Other than the lack of communication around shipping delays, I have had a very good experience with Redwood Outdoors.

Initially got incorrect shipping numbers and incorrect shipping carrier so it was difficult to coordinate delivery. When it arrived, several (8-10+) big pieces were broken because they were poorly shipped. Splintered wood. Dealt with getting replacement parts and was told to just deal with some of them that weren’t visible - but the whole experience was poor for the cost. Replacement pieces delivered, totally different colors. Had an electrician come to install heater - was missing instructions that the power unit and control panel needed weatherproof boxes (which is odd considering this company is PNW based). Also apparently came with install instructions (which would have been nice prior to us installing). So I had an electrician come out and then needed to order new pieces. Delayed build out. Wasted contractor time. Let Redwood Outdoor know I was disappointed, no response. I would recommend going with something cheaper.

Quality products and quality customer service that are willing to look things up and go the extra mile. I truly appreciate it and I appreciated working with Jared! He's an asset to the company.

Serah was absolutely outstanding. The best customer service I have experienced that I can remember. Patient, kind and diligent. She helped me work through some things that were my on doing and help me get everything just right. I’m recommending you because you have a great product, but more importantly, an outstanding employee. Thank your Serah, you are truly the best!

Jared went above and beyond to deliver for us on multiple occasions as we experienced some technical issues with our original chiller. He has been kind, personable, helpful, and had incredible follow through, staying on top of our needs until our issues were remedied. So grateful to have gotten to work for him and his support throughout the process!

I bought the sauna about a year and a half ago when my husband was deployed, we have three kids and I swear having the sauna and taking that little bit of time for myself each day has immensely improved my well being and health. He is currently deployed AGAIN, and without my daily sauna time and self care, I would not be able to be there for my family and show up to e best I can everyday. It helps alleviate the stress of everything going on. I have needed a few replacements, the hinges, door magnetic clips, and a few questions about setup. Every time I have reached out to customer service it was a breeze and refreshing to speak to a human right away and have received excellent support each time! You guys really are the best!

Product is very middle of the road. My cold plunge got here and it has a leak that makes it so it’s not retaining water. Customer service is horrible.

Had to cancel because they kept pushing back the delivery.

We ordered our sauna in January and were told it would arrive by Feb-early March. It still isn’t here and may be another month we were told. Just be aware the length of time it takes to arrive when ordering.

I really appreciate the time on the phone late Saturday getting my sauna wifi running. The personal service sets you apart.

Love the sauna! The minor complaint is the screen is a bit lose in the sauna. Other than that- it’s fantastic !

After much research I chose to buy our barrel sauna from Redwood Outdoors. They were excellent in answering my questions to order the correct heater for my climate. Ordering was easy and took advantage of the Truemed HSA option for payment. The pallet arrived faster than I expected. It was expertly packed and arrived perfectly. We used their video and printed manuals to install and went together in a few hours with my wife and I. We are awaiting our electrician to finish up the heater connection. We were impressed on the quality and fitment of everything. I will say the instructions for nailing could be more specific. I nailed to often at the top and made it difficult to get last pieces in. So, other than that, it was a great experience with Redwood Outdoors from start to finish.

Quick response times. Sauna is better than ever imagined.
