Honestly, I was a bit hesitant to try this eSIM provider at first. However, thanks to their free trial option for new users, I was able to test their service completely risk-free, which gave me the final push.

The installation process was incredibly straightforward and easy to set up. I used the eSIM during my travels in Japan and China, and the connection worked perfectly in both countries.

Beyond the reliable performance, their pricing is very favorable compared to other options on the market. Overall, it is a solid, dependable service, and I am fully satisfied with the experience.

Avoid This eSIM Provider
I had a terrible experience with RedteaGO. I purchased a 1GB / 7-day eSIM, but it never worked even once. I installed it correctly, selected the network, and followed all instructions, yet I was never able to access the internet.
When I contacted support, they repeatedly told me that my 1GB of data had already been used, which makes no sense because the connection never worked in the first place. Instead of investigating the issue or trying to troubleshoot, they kept sending the same copy-paste response telling me to buy more data.
There was no real attempt to understand the problem, no troubleshooting, and no willingness to help. I wasn’t even asking for a refund — I simply wanted the service I paid for to work.
Very disappointing customer service. I strongly recommend choosing another eSIM provider if you want reliable service and proper support.

Overall, the experience was not positive. The customer support agent was very helpful and provided the necessary instructions to configure the eSIM APN, however this is the kind of issue that should not occur during a trip.

When arriving in a new country, you rely on the eSIM to have immediate internet access. Having to solve technical issues such as manually configuring the APN creates significant difficulties, especially when you do not have an internet connection to contact support.

I appreciate the availability of the support agent, but the assistance was only possible after I had already faced several inconveniences, difficulties, and additional costs using my personal SIM card.

I've used RedteaGo for the last two years all across the Europe and the pricing is far better than any others. The internet quality is also good according to plans.

I JUST signed up..tried it out for 50 cents to see if it worked..10 minutes later it says "zero KB left for 6 days" , "USAGE FINISHED" yet it says 10MB for 6 days 23 hours". I reside in NYC, USA..This is ridiculous..

I needed the eSim to work... instead, they disconnected my eSim without notice and issued a refund... the poor service is compounded with a high level of incompetency. A customer-driven service company would've issued a refund but at least keep the card alive until another eSim is acquired!

If you are planning a trip to Turkey—or anywhere else, for that matter—do yourself a favor and stay far away from Redteago. I recently purchased two "Global" 20GB eSIMs for my wife and me, shelling out a hefty $68 each. For a total of $136, I expected a premium, seamless connection. Instead, I got a pair of digital paperweights.

The "Global" Lie
Redteago explicitly claims Turkey is covered under their Global plan. This is, at best, a technicality and, at worst, purely deceptive. While the phone might occasionally show a signal bar, the actual service is practically non-existent.

A Masterclass in Inconvenience
The user experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. We are plagued by:

Constant Disconnections: The data drops every few minutes, leaving us stranded in the middle of navigating or trying to communicate.

The "Airplane Mode" Loop: The only way to get the signal back is to constantly toggle Airplane Mode on and off. I didn’t pay $136 to spend my vacation babysitting my phone settings.

Worthless Service: Most of the time, the eSIM is completely ineffective. It is unreliable for basic tasks, let alone the "Global" connectivity they charge a premium for.

Final Verdict: Deceptive and Unacceptable
Selling a product that fails to perform its one primary function is unacceptable. Redteago is happy to take your money upfront, but they fail to provide the service they promise. We are currently stuck in Turkey with $136 less in our pockets and no reliable way to use the data we paid for.

Save your money, save your sanity, and buy a local SIM or use a reputable provider. Redteago is a scam.

the internet they provided me didn't tork. They gave me a second plan, and that didn't work either. I connected to them to activate it, and they canceled the product I purchased. This RedteaGO is a scam. Don't buy anything from them.

Recently used RedteaGo for a trip to SF, and it was great to have a plan that came with a local number. That was a huge help for making calls. As a new user, I also got a nice bonus and some free data to start.

Activated instantly and worked fine in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.

Everything ran smoothly for my Europe trip.

ニュージーランドの南部で使った。価格が破格で最高と思ったが…　まず設定で四苦八苦、サポートがなければ自分の形態は無理だった（AndroidのAquos）。QRコード方式だったらもう少し簡単だったかも。また、Christchurchでどうにか通じたと思ったのに、肝心の道中（レンタカー）ではまったく使い物にならず。TekapoやWanakaなど、観光地だったのに、そこでもうまく入らず…。★１を付けたいところだが、サポートの人がどんな時間でもすぐに返事をくれて一生懸命対応してくれたのはとても良かったので、もう一つ★。でも、やっぱり使えなければ星はつけられない。旅行は５日程度の使用だったが、30日が250円位で済んだのが唯一の救い。会社のiPhone15も同じものを購入した。設定は、QRコードで行ったので比較的スムーズ。でも、道中使用できないのは同じだった。唯一Queenstownで少し使えたが、結局それは空港に到着するまでの15分位…！
Used in the southern part of New Zealand. Was so happy to be able to find such a low price, but the result was terrible! First, it took such a hard time to set up. It may have been better if I used the QR code method. I couldn't have done the setting up on my own without the Support's help (Android, Aquos). When I finally could get through on the last day in Christchurch, no luck at all when travelling by car. Even when reaching popular sightseeing towns like Tekapo and Wanaka, not sure whether because they were quite small towns, didn't work at all in any of them! Felt like putting just１star, but the Support was quite prompt and did respond at whatever time it was (they say they are there 24/7), and always tried hard in helping me out, I added another star. But can't really add anything more, because it's really whether you can use wifi with it or not. The only relief was that it was really cheap, only 2.38 USD (1GB) for 30 days (I needed it for 5 days). Also bought the same eSIM for my corporate phone, iPhone 15. Setting up was quite smooth, using the QR code, but the same result while travelling, no luck. However, was able to use it when I arrived in Queenstown - but only needed it for the last 15 minutes before getting to the airport...!

Bought a sim for turkey with my friend and used a referral code we both got money off it was the cheapest esim available and it worked absolutely amazing no buffers or lags and very fast speeds. Will definitely be using RedteaGO again and recommend others give it a go too.

I used it in Tokyo. The speed wasn't super-fast, and some of the plans are just LTE, not 5G.
For daily stuff, it was fine, but it got a bit slow on the subway.
If speed is a big deal for you, just contact their support to Change to a Other plan (I heard they've updated everything to 5G Plan for Japan now, anyway).

The main reason I rate it so high is the price. RedteaGo is the cheapest eSIM I've ever used!
Honestly, the low price completely makes up for any small issues, so I still give it a great rating.
