Desk staff friendly enough. But, complete deception and lack of communication and no option to gain the information required like ‘Invoices, payments taken, deposits not returned etc.

I am giving a Five Star for redspot car rental for their excellent service.

Arrived Brisbane international airport. The staff say my car at brisbane domestic terminal which i have to take a free shuttle bus to collect my car? Family of 3 with 3 Luggage take free shuttle bus from international airport to domestic terminal. That the best service i ever get. I Rental car for 8 days. And last day I return and Reached brisbane international airport, but saw No staff at the counter. I dropped my car key in the key box and proceeded to the check in counter to collect my boarding pass. Reached singapore. Few days later I received a email, say I returned my car late at 3pm? I have to email to brisbane airport that 3pm i am already in the Air. I need to be at the airport 3 hrs before flight, as my flight is 2.45pm departure. And I return my car within the 30min grace period. Have to submit my E ticket and my Boarding pass to show brisbane airport. Luckily I still keep my boarding pass and E ticket. Or I have to pay the additional late charges. Overall car is great . No worries just a updates to help redspot to improve better. And lastly I will give 5 Star for their excellent service.

Excellent customer service from both staff that we dealt with at Brisbane Airport. Staff member when we picked up the car was very helpful- Phillippa. Great car, even an upgrade.
The only negative was it was really difficult to hear in the office with the screens etc. We would definitely rent through them again.

We were absolutely blown away by the service and care. We had booked a vehicle through a third party, the car was small upon pickup. We returned, explained the situation and was offered an upgrade by the amazing staff who were very busy but incredibly courteous and kind. Our drive would have been not only difficult but unsafe without their aid in helping us start our long drive in comfort. I cannot recommend them enough, big thanks to Ashleigh!

We are very happy with the service. Steve's has provided a super customer service to me and my family. Car is clean and we did enjoyed the drive.

Waited for 1.5 hours for a car I had pre booked from cairns airport
I only had day hire so booked from 9.30-6pm
Left airport at 11am , half the day was over
Not happy
Was not the fault of desk staff however whoever manages car returns needs to communicate with others and could of let me know to get another car or cancel my hire to go with another company
Unfortunately I was not the only customer waiting for cars.
However at other times people got off plane , got luggage and got their cars immediately

I had a great experience renting a car through Redspot at Kings Cross. I rang to check a couple of things before I booked online and the service in the phone was excellent. I found the price extremely competitive and actually cheaper than I what I expected to pay. The range of cars is great and the service at the counter inside The Holiday Inn, from Matt, Matthew and Cameron to be warm friendly and professional. I would definitely make this place my preferred car rental company in Sydney. It’s very close to the city in a very accessible location. 5 Stars!!

They did a charge that was wrong on my deposit and they told me in a case that is going to be refund and I still waiting after more than one month, the messages on the case were deleted and I called like 4 times and always they said that they are going to send a message to the central but nothing is being resolved

Super easy pick up and drop off and excellent pricing

I was really impressed with my recent redspot experience. I normally stick with the bigger brands, but during school holidays everyone else hiked prices so significantly that I gave red spot a go. The car was beautiful, clean and very new. Pick up was quick and easy and staff really pleasant. Drop off was fast and located in airport was extremely convenient.

Staff at Brisbane city were amazing to deal with. I hired a car from them on two occasions during my holiday. They were welcoming, helpful, and professional. Great customer service.

The process of hiring the car was easy. Pick up & drop off were a breeze. The staff were amazing and great communication.
The car was beautifully clean.
Pricing was excellent - I look at many hire places and this one was the best price.

I rented a car online, paid in advanced and at the pick-up was charged nearly $100 for deposit. After almost 2 weeks without getting the deposit back, I called the 1300 line and someone from the Melbourne Airport Location answered the phone, and when I asked about the deposit that associate was very rude to me, she started trying to gaslight me, and making very sarcastic comments and even yelling at me over the phone. I was verbally assaulted and without getting the deposit back. Terrible customer service.

I had a very disappointing experience. Despite having a booking, I did not receive the vehicle until two hours after the scheduled pickup time.

More concerning, I noticed that an additional charge was deducted from my account a few days after I returned the vehicle. I have contacted the company several times via both email and phone to request an explanation, but I have not received any response.

The lack of communication and customer support is unacceptable. Overall, the service was unprofessional, and I would not recommend it.

Beware of extra costs that are far more than other rental car companies. Redspot charge local drivers, local license holders a humungous $1000 deposit and international driver's just $100 deposit to hire a vehicle. This is an utter joke. Redspot say that this is due to risk. I would have thought that international driver's would have been the higher risk category, driving in unfamiliar environments and with the high number of visas being overstayed, which could impact on car return. This $1000 deposit for local drivers vs $100 for international driver's is a massive and unnecessary barrier for local drivers to be able to access a rental vehicle. Redspot please urgently review this and make access to your rental vehicles fair and stop penalizing access for local license holders. Redspot advertise alot on 2GB Ben Fordham and I thought I would try them out but at $1000 deposit with the car rental costs still on top of that, it is beyond belief when we are already living in a cost of living crisis. With this pitfall and disadvantage for local Australian drivers, 2GB should review their advertising support for Redspot. It is just not fair that an international driver can hire a car with a $100 deposit but as a local drivers I need $1000 deposit!
