They made promises they didn't keep. The turnaround time is much longer than they suggest. My items took longer to ship than I realized, and they took 3 days to give me a report, after arrival. They guarantee 24 hours. They also claimed my largest item was only gold filled, which other trusted sources disagree with. Thirdly, it was only a few dollars, but their offer came back less than what could be calculated on their 'guaranteed payout' calculator at any time in the past 7 days. Thoroughly disappointed. Not sure the company is entirely untrustworthy, but there is some dishonesty floating around which tells me not to do business with them, unfortunately.
*This review comes with a new edit, and lower rating, because the company is lying about me. I absolutely did not accuse anyone of lying until I disagreed with their evaluation of my bracelet. Turns out, it was actually gold filled, which might make me change my review, except it came back extremely damaged. The bracelet was in perfect condition when I sent, and was horribly scratched and mangled when returned. The package arrived on Friday, and I didn't receive my offer until after midday on Monday, so you are also being publicly dishonest about that.
You didn't 'prove' anything. I have actual proof that your prices were different. You decided to return my items when I questioned why there was a difference between the numbers you offered me, and the numbers on your calculator. Step down off your high horse, you don't belong there

The process was step by step and easy to do. The offer was just what they said it would be on their site. They didn't say one thing and do another. I would do it again.

Based on reviews of ReDollar, I decided to try it myself. I came across my class of 1990 high school ring that had been sitting in a drawer for decades. It was 10k gold so I figured some value was better than no value just sitting in a drawer. I completed their form. They emailed a mailing label. I mailed it off and a few days later I received an email they had received my ring and would get back to me with an offer shortly. A few hours later they came back with an offer of $296.00 for my high school ring. Did I mention 30 years ago I paid $265 for it? I accepted their offer, provided my bank account info for an ACH transfer and, as promised, this morning, my money was in my bank account. They even sent me a thank you email. Great customer service. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

I had a good quantity of sterling and fine silver scrap left over from when I had been a silver crafter some years ago. My local bullion dealer couldn't take it because the quantity was too small. (He literally needed a barrel full to take any.) reDollar was willing to take my 40-some ounces of scrap and paid me a fair price for it. The process was extremely fast and communication was excellent. I sent the silver and got paid the same day they got it, with no fees.

Excellent! Everything went both fast and smooth. There were no costs to me to mail in the merchandise. I received an email with cash offer the day that they received the gold items. I was offered $895.49. That was about $400 more than I was offered by a local pawn shop for the same items. I accepted REDOLLAR's offer and requested that a check be mailed to me. The check went out the same day and I received it three days later. They are good people to do business with.

Very pleasant experience for two separate shipments. Used the online calculator to get an initial offer for four gold necklaces. Once the USPS package arrived at the reDollar facility, I was notified via email within 24 hrs that a technician was evaluating the contents. From that point things proceeded very quickly and a laboratory report was sent a few hours later with a final offer within a few dollars of the original offer. I sold four 14k necklaces (13.86 grams) for $441. I repeated this process with a second shipment and 3 items were determined not to be precious metals. The laboratory report included photos of these three items. The 3 items were returned at my request with my check for $421. No haggling to get the best price. Check sent out immediately and arrived in a few days. Experience was much better than a competitor. I would recommend this company and I will continue to send scrap gold here.
