We went to the rendition of the Miyazaki movie soundtrack by the Mystery Ensemble in the Nicolaïkerk in Utrecht. It was beautiful, I loved each piece and was impressed and moved (even got teary eyes) by the way the artists interpreted each piece. You can tell they put passion into this!

I wish the event had lasted slightly longer, not to have more pieces played, but so that there would be a few more seconds between each piece, to let the delight linger a little longer before the next one started.

Finally, what I liked most was the proximity with artists: it was cozy and they appeared very friendly and were and felt close to us! That was so lovely. This as not my first candlelight concert and will also not be the last!

I love classical music, especially piano and movie soundtracks, and Red Events without a doubt puts on some of the most beautifully crafted and emotional live shows I’ve experienced. From the hauntingly beautiful music of Ludovico Einaudi to the epic soundtracks of Hans Zimmer, every performance feels incredibly atmospheric and thoughtfully put together. The combination of the music, setting and overall production creates something genuinely special. If you love classical music or film scores, I couldn’t recommend a Red Events show highly enough.

Great show, great event

Their Studio Ghibli concert is a real treat that you want to close your eyes for in moments to immerse yourself (making me tear up at points as it really managed to hit my nostalgia).
It was impressive how such a small ensemble of 6 (with keys, 2 violins, viola, cello & double bass) managed to pull off the richness of Joe Hisaishi's mostly orchestral original soundtracks without much distraction, with the tone of the solos, the genuine players' enjoyment, their expressions interacting with each other & the short & sweet speeches leading you meaningfully through this journey.
The lighting with it at their recent gig at St. Luke's in Glasgow made it all the more magical, with effects relevant to the songs/characters from Hayao Miyazaki's featured films, elevating the whole experience.
It was clear that it wasn't just me who appreciated this performance, as fellow members of the audience in the packed hall were swaying to the waltzes/tangos/beats of the songs & couldn't resist recording a few clips as it was a very chill venue with great atmosphere.
Would absolutely recommend this to friends & family.

I attended the Hayao Miyazaki event at St Luke’s in Glasgow by Mystery Ensemble. Was very excited to go to this event and it did not disappoint :) it was a lovely performance and I definitely would recommend!

We attended the concert “Hommage à Max Richter – Vivaldi: The Four Seasons Recomposed” at MaiHof in Lucerne.

It was an absolutely beautiful and deeply emotional evening. The musicians were outstanding and played with incredible skill, sensitivity and passion. The sound was wonderful throughout.

We were seated at the side of the sixth row and still had a very good view of the musicians.

In addition to Vivaldi, they also performed “On the Nature of Daylight”, which was especially moving for me. Luckily, my makeup was waterproof.

The experience was great and very different. I had a great time especially this being my first time attending such a performance.

I’d had a very busy day, when i arrived at the Coventry venue, my head was still racing.
We were shown to our seats in a wonderful venue, i noted how it was surprisingly cool on such a hot day. My wife was seated and and I felt quite relaxed as a music started. The Lord of the Rings.
The music was so relaxing, and as a musician myself i appreciated the quality and complexity of the playing.
It was a very relaxing evening, that was just what i needed. I have no hesitation in Recommending Red Events

We attended the Richter Recomposed concert at Greyfriars Kirk in Edinburgh on 11/07/26. This is a piece I know and love and was looking forward to being immersed in it in a live setting. From a few bars in I couldn’t believe how bad the tuning and timing were. Far from feeling relaxed and swept away by the music I felt increasingly anxious that the whole thing was going to fall apart any second. I actually found myself wincing at several points. It was a very short concert, especially for the money paid (with no view of the ensemble at all) but I was actually relieved and grateful when it came to an end because it was so uncomfortable to listen to. With the exception of the final additional piece “On The Nature of Daylight” which was lovely and well played. There were moments when it came together and I could hear what would be possible from this ensemble but, in all honesty, I just felt so embarrassed for them. I hate to write this because it seems like these were probably a group of young musicians who hadn’t been given adequate time to rehearse. And, if that’s the case, then is horribly unfair to do that to them. Makes me wonder if the Mystery Ensemble is just a bunch of disparate musicians brought together on an ad hoc basis. Not their fault - there was some fine playing at times from individuals but no cohesion. Making a living as a musician is incredibly hard so my criticism is not aimed at the musicians who were just doing their best and, I imagine, just getting a gig where they can, but at the company behind this.

It was a special time, listening to the concert , being inside the music and the magic atmosphere that brought you in an other space an time . There was a particular intensity due to the comunication among the musicians so that notes flore from one to another creating a sort of sound’s river .

I went to see a group perform the music from The Lord of the Rings at St. MARY'S church in Nottingham. Today, Saturday June 27th. It was fantastic! I loved every minute of it. It was amazing to see how coordinated they were with each other. You could see how they had respect for each other, including the lady who played the piano. I was enraptured!

My daughter and I attended the Hayao Miyazaki’s Dreams concert at Sunderland Minster and had an excellent evening.

The Minster was a wonderful choice of venue, intimate, atmospheric and perfectly suited to the performance. The combination of the string ensemble and piano sounded absolutely beautiful in the acoustics of the building, bringing the music to life in a really special way.

The evening was very well organised, with a bar available before the concert, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The lead performer was warm, personable and took the time to engage with the audience between pieces, adding a lovely personal touch.

Overall, it was a beautifully executed event and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We’d happily attend another Red Events concert in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Studio Ghibli, Joe Hisaishi’s music, or simply an evening of outstanding live performance.

I went to several concerts by the Mystery Ensemble and every single one has been amazing in terms of atmosphere and quality of the performance. I have seen strangers talking to each other about the music, the films that have watched, their favourite song etc, people smiling, moved to tears, sharing the joy and the excitement. At such difficult times like the ones we are experiencing now, live events this these bring people together and help spread some much needed hope and positivity, which is exactly what these artists do. I really don’t understand the negative comments here. I am ok with the fact that there is no printed programme - it all adds to the mystery! - but If I may have one suggestion, I’d love to see a short biography of each musician on the website.

Shockingly bad! Ignored me for days when trying to buy a ticket for myself, as a disabled person, to go to an event. My essential companion had to just show up with me and hope he was let in. Still not heard anything from Red Events, and it's now multiple emails and days after the event! Avoid!

Booked tickets to the The Music of Harry Potter by Mystery Ensemble. I had to request a refund due to an emergency medical procedure for my Son, which I provided evidence for at Red Events request. They cancelled my tickets and said they had processed the refund on 21st April. I am still yet to receive the refund 6 weeks later.
After chasing twice, I received a response from a member of the team asking for bank details as there was an issue with the sales platform. I provided my details nearly a week ago and am still yet to receive a refund. The quality of customer service has been unacceptable, I am concerned that this may be a scam.

Wat een geweldige ervaring. De muziek was zo mooi en de organisatie super! We gaan zeker nog een keer genieten van een concert met kaarslicht!
